A old school style mansion that has been converted into an eating and bar establishment separated by 3 different atmospheres. Fine dining with a Prix fixe menu is available on the top floor created by one of the most notable chefs in the tri-state area. Middle floor is a cocktail bar with extremely knowledgeable and skilled bartenders. Bottom floor is an upscale throwback to a bar and grill. An excellent place for a date, if you go during the daylight hours I suggest getting a drink from the Vail Bar and walking the grounds. Took my girlfriend here for our first date and to this day she constantly brings it up. If you are looking for experience reminiscent of New York City or Beverly Hills with in New Jersey I highly suggest attending. Excellent spot for dates and business events.

Friday night @6:30. Dining room upstairs. Limited Valet parking. For a supposed upscale restaurant, there was very little upscale about it. The bar at the entrance was very loud. People were under dressed for the location. Shorts, Jeans, Hawaiian shirts, open shoulders on the ladies. A party of 2, we were sat in a side room off the main dining room upstairs. Sparsely decorated with no interesting views. Wait Staff was wonderful. Attentive and helpful in pairing wines with courses. The official wine sommelier looked as if he just woke from bed, unshaven and his clothes were too tight for his frame. Unprofessional at best. The portion sizes were appropriate. Most Americans will think they are too small. Good meal, no need to return any time soon.

This is the first time Im sitting upstairs in the restaurant instead of sitting down at the bar area. I had the sweet bread appetizer which was okay. I did not care for the breading around the sweetbreads as it was too heavy. Had the homemade pappardelle which was made with wild boar which could have been outstanding except it had too much salt in it. The Arctic char was out of this world and I would go back and it order it again and again along with the warm chocolate torte for dessert. Ive been there a few times for the oyster special. You can never go wrong with that!

The food was good, for morristown.. but the overall experience wasnt worth the money. Were foodies and were really looking forward to this place. We went for my boyfriends birthday and got the tasting menu (last year we went to the city). There were multiple times where our water and wine glasses were empty- also they never asked if we wanted coffee or after dinner drinks. We were really looking forward to this place and planned to go back but definitely wont after this experience.. such a disappointment, such a shame for morristown.

I am completely shocked that this place was written up in New Jerseys best restaurants and also shocked that it has good google reviews. we booked our reservations 3 weeks in advance and they neglected to tell us that we would be sat on the porch right off of the dinning room, not the actually dining room. menus had no prices except for the prefix. portions were extremely small and overall just not worth the money AT ALL!!! complete rip off dont waste your money unless you want to pretend and be a big shot in a trendy restaurant

Jockey Hollow was quite good. The restaurant itself is in a beautiful old building. I came with a group, so I was able to try a variety of dishes. The Korean Peppers as an appetizer was spicy and excellent. Cheese plate was nice. My entree was a mushroom lasagna which was also excellent. The only bad part of the meal for me was a lousy Dark n Stormy, but that was followed by a very good Pimms Cup. All in call, excellent meal. Warning: Expensive.

Food excellent, service excellent. I was especially impressed with the cocktails -- great for a date night. We ended up eating in the Oyster Bar area and enjoyed charcuterie and cocktails (Moscow Mule was great as was the Old Fashioned -- they have nice seasonal cocktails as well). For dinner, I had the dry-aged bone-in sirloin which was cooked perfectly medium and as good as it sounds. Highly recommended.

This is a review of the Rathskeller (the basement restaurant at the Jockey Hollow restaurant). The setting is very interesting (the basement of the higher-end restaurant upstairs), but the menu is a little limited and service was a bit choppy when we went as a group of 10 (3 families).

Food was amazing! Had a few oysters to start. (They have about half a dozen varieties to choose from). We split a flank steak dinner and a side of fries. The salt and vinegar fries were out of this world. Parking is a pain, take an Uber.

Exquisite dining, great service and the selection of wines is good as well. New Jersey doesnt exactly have the high end restaurants that New York City Offers. But nonetheless, Jockey Hollow is a great option when your in Morristown.

Very cool building that used to be a quail lodge for rich hunters way back in the day from what I was told. Food and drinks are definitely expensive but youre paying for the ambiance and experience. Would definitely recommend

Asked to leave for no reason. Friend stepped on my shoe entering building and even after conversation they claimed they would not serve us. Interesting as we have spent about 6K this year there. Really bad protocol.

Always amazing. Beautiful building. Delicious oysters, phenomenal and impressive mixologists. My favorite is when they torch the Cedar planks for the old fashioned. Very cool. Great music, great crowd. Love it!

Great atmosphere. We ate in the oyster room but there is also a modern beer garden in the basement with live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Bar behind the main staircase was the highlight of the evening.

Chefs choice meal was superb. It spanned their menu nicely. JH has one of the best dessert menus you could ever hope for The blood orange sorbet as well as the grapefruit sorbet were outstanding.

A high end high class restaurant and bar. There are a fee different bars and restaurants within this mansion. Ensure you ask for a tour. Food and service was on par with my expectations.

I have way more experience with the Rathskeller and love it. All the food is so hearty and the cocktails are interesting, too. Not to mention some great bands play on the weekend!

Elegant and beautiful place to have dinner and drinks. Stunning interior, dramatic entrance and valet parking. Well worth the high price tag if youre hungry and in Morristown.

Have tried it a bunch of times. Happy hour oysters are the only reason to go. Cocktails are too expensive ($12-16) to drink all night and I think SM23s are better.

Many levels and outdoor spaces make up this converted mansion. Little nooks and awesome bar spaces culminate into a nice hidden secret in Morristown

Place is very rustic and is partitioned very well. Food and drink selections are great. We had our company Christmas party there. We all loved it.

Just stopped in for cocktails after a matinee at the MayoPAC. The bartenders were fabulous and knowledgable. Our drinks were perfect!!

The food is pretty good. The service is arrogant! The bar sucks! plenty of other drinking options in Morristown: try Town or SM23.

Went once for brunch. The interior is super swanky, but the food itself was just ok. Luckily, the prices were reasonable.
