Went in with great expectations but came out a little disappointed! It was highly recommended by someone and I decided to give it a try. I showed up when they opened and was greated coldly. I try to make small talk just continued to ask what would I like. He took my order and payment did not say nothing else to me. Now, when another customer came in after me, the host was very talkative and had the customer after me sit in the main dining room with comfort, where as , I had to sit by the door. The customer that he was talking to, received his order before me. Even when my order was complete the host did not acknowledge me at all. No one did. I did not even get a thank you or utinsel. The food was ok but I was really turned off by the service. I know that the host can give great service as I seen it with the customer after me but I did not understand why I did not get that same level of service as the other customers.

I was really excited to try cafe India from all of the reviews and a couple people at work suggested it to me. Service: We went for dinner, and there was terrible service... 15 minutes before we met our server. Very slow, and minimal English spoken by the back waiters. Food Quality: Chicken tiki Masala was good, definitely not the best Ive had, but still decent. The kebabs were a joke. Really dry, super small portions. The semosas were horrible as well. (Appetizer). The peshuari naan was dry and crispy, and a little burnt. Price: you pay $15.99 for a kebab and all that comes with it is 4 fairly small pieces of chicken. Nothing else. Very pricy for not a lot of food. I would recommend Mehndi - in Morristown. Really good food, huge portions, (my wife and I can share one meal and get pretty full.). The atmosphere is WAY better at Mehndi as well.

Its one of the best restaurants I had been in recent times. I would rate it as best if I consider all Indian restaurants around Central Jersey. I had been there last week and was awe-struck by the taste and hospitality. Taste of food here suits North Indian folks, South Indian and also Americans. Am saying this because my group on that includes people from different corners from India and couple of Americans. Chefs here took great care to deliver the mouth watering food. I would visit Caffe India when ever I plan for any lunch or dinner around Morristown. Finally, Dont forget to order LAMB CHOPS when you are there!

Cafe India has extraordinary Indian cuisine. If youre craving something flavorful, this place will not disappoint. If you want something spicy, ask for it "Indian hot". I took two Indian friends here and they said it was rather authentic and that they hadnt had such great food in a long time... Now the buffet is pretty good, not nearly as amazing as the specials on the menu. The rice pudding is phenomenal, the ghost kadai (chicken or lamb) is delectable and I LOVE THIS PLACE. I always enjoyed Indian food but this place turned me into a believer...I eat here twice a week:)

I been to this restaurant many times customer service is great always welcoming environment and warming. Food is very delicious all the spicy are what they are suppose to be. So many dishes to pick from tandoori chicken is really good and garlic Nan is my fav. As far as I know they have renovation going on rite now. I can’t wait for them to open up...... over all it is the best place to eat and enjoy with your family…. Highly recommending this place….

Took my co-workers to this place based upon its reviews. The food was bland and tasteless. Not much of a selection for charging $10.95 for lunch buffet. All the items on the buffet were either half empty, missing and tasted dry. The only good item was the dessert, other than that everything else was OK. The vegetables were decent, chicken was dry and dessert was better. The ambiance was nice. Would not go there again.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Some places tend to use questionable cuts of meat - not the case here. Rogan josh was just cubes of tender lamb without bones, murgh makhani was lean, gristle-free tandoori chicken. Quality of the ingredients really makes this place great. The website is great for ordering takeout, allows for spice level of each dish to be customized when ordering.

Worst Indian food Ive ever had. Gave one portion of rice for two dishes. Called to complain and manager hung up on me. First and last time Ill be going to this place. Im surprised at all the good reviews, and am willing to bet they were written by the owner and their family unless the food we got was substantially different from the food that they usually serve.

Could not eat the chicken, it was disgusting, questionable if it was actually chicken. Strange color and consistency. Would have sent it back but afraid of what they may have done to my replacement meal !!!! Other meal (Chicken Tikka Masala) was fine. Staff friendly but would not receommend this place.

The restaurant has a very good ambience. The food is very delightful. The taste is fantastic with the apt amount of spices(for my American friends). The best part is that the restaurant serves lunch even at 3 PM, so for bachelors like us who wakes up late at weekends, this restaurant is the place to be.

Excellent food and very friendly servers. Its BYOB. We were kinda drunk and loud. I know its not a very thing to be loud in public but you know good friends, excellent food and few drinks does the trick. But still the staff was very nice and wasnt waiting for us to leave. lol

Have been there for the lunch buffet before, which is absolutely exceptional. Kind staff, excellent food for a great price. The only drawback is that I always end up eating too much and have to go back to the office ready to take a nap. Highly recommended!

As an Indian I have eaten at many places but none have brought me back to the same mouthwatering taste or aromatic smell of food that I would find on my visits to India like Cafe India has. I have to said it is the best of Morris County.

Inconsistent, often poor and the food seems more likely to cause an upset stomach Have only tried this place about 4 times and Id give it a rating of 4.5 to 5 out of 10.
