First time here, was very excited to go. Beer list looked great, menu was nothing impressive but enough selections to have a decent meal, or so was thought. My wife, who is a vegetarian, ordered a Veggie Panini. She took a few bites and realized something was off. She was given a Salmon Panini instead of a Vegetarian Panini. 16 years shes been a dedicated vegetarian and this brought her to tears, she had to leave before we could really address it. A lame apology came, which we would have accepted, but the bill and meal was still charged, except for the Panini which was wrong and not eaten anyway. We paid $30 to have our night ruined and have my wifes beliefs and way of life trashed with basically little accountability. I wont set foot and dont recommend anyone set foot anywhere near here. Its not worth it for lackluster food and there are plenty of places that sell good beer with clearer lines. Seriously, seriously disappointed.

I am local to Merchantville and love the small town feel. So when it came to my wedding I wanted to support local small business as much as I could. I opted to have my rehearsal dinner at Blue Monkey and I loved the food and drinks. Our server was friendly and created and nice enviroment for my family and friends. However I returned with my husband later that year (2010) for the night before Thanksgiving celebration and we sat at the bar. Our bartender was horrible. She was miserable and snippy. My husband is a bartender and server and has a joking personality but our bartender was unimpressed with his attempts to make her laugh. Nonetheless she got a horrific tip and we havent been back since, nor will we return for anything other than a special occassion brunch or dining experience. One bad attitude will ruin it for an entire establishment.

Food nothing to rave about at all. The dinners tasted like they were precooked & not made fresh and the vegetables were canned. The big thing was the service & their drink prices. We questioned a price on the bill in regards to a drink one of our party had and the manager was not only rude and obnoxious he tried to claim the drink contained 4 oz of alcohol. He chided our guest for even questioning the bill and when she expressed her displeasure- he said "Good. Dont come back" guess what we wont be. I highly recommend to stay way from the establishment. Menu is pricy, Drinks you are definitely overly expensive & you do not get what they claim & to top it off extremely rude service to as well. You can get a better meal in a diner.

Consistently best craft beer tap list in South Jersey. With 38 taps, you are virtually guaranteed to find a brewer/beer style that youll enjoy. Also have a compelling craft bottle selection. Very spacious with plenty of seats both at the bar and at tables/booths. Fairly quiet atmosphere - definitely a place where you can enjoy a conversation, and dont have to scream to be heard. Food is definitely above average for pub food (burgers/paninis) - and the occasional special is truly excellent, even without the "pub" disclaimer (e.g., short rib sandwich, pork belly sandwich). Service has always been solid in my experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great beer and good food.

The food at this place is so good that I actually ate and ended up enjoying something with asparagus in it (I normally hate asparagus). They make outstanding Panini sandwiches, and have an impressive overall selection that includes some unique and unusual items. Prices are reasonable. Service was moderately slow, but by no means awful. A minor sore point was the dim, dark atmosphere, which can be kind of nice in a place thats relatively crowded, but because there was almost no one else there that night, it actually made it seem kind of lonely.

Stopped in here with some coworkers after a long week. The atmosphere was great and the waitstaff was really nice. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and drinks. Everyone except myself. I had the Tournada Filet with green bean and mashed potatoes. The filet came out overcooked, I wanted rare and it came out well. The mashed potatoes were more like soup than mashed potatoes. The beans and sauce on the meat were awesome. The place was clean as well as the restroom. There was plenty of parking available around the building.

This place is an awesome place to eat, the food is excellent and the drinks are just as great. I went here on Valentines Day thinking that I wasnt going to be able to be seated because it was Valentines Day and I didnt have a reservation. Oh did I tell you we had our twin 6 month old at the time and 7 year old. We felt really bad because couples started coming in but by the time they got their drinks we were heading out. The chef personally brought our food to the table and it was delicious. We definitely will eat here again!

Owner is incredibly rude to customers and staff too. A request for a taste of beer will make you wait for several minutes before you are served. I saw the owner bullying one of the bartenders who was then very upset and unpleasant to the customers. I guess I cant blame her... The food isnt bad but not great. The owner claims to have a lot of beer but really doesnt and the few times Ive been there he didnt have any of the better beers on tap. Many other near by places are much better.

This place is great. Ive been here plenty of times and havent had something that I dont like on their menu. They have the best selection of beer around too, hands down. A few days ago, I went for happy hour with work friends. The place was packed and we still got prompt friendly service. Appetizers and beers were ordered and received within reasonable time. It seems like the owner is almost always present talking to various customers and ensuring an enjoyable experience.

The best bar that I know and a very good restaurant. The beer selection and quality is unmatched. We live in Moorestown and make the trip at least once per month. If you want just bar food or a fine dining experience with the excellent beer, they have it. The muscles are unmatched, along with several things on the menu. My only fear is that it will become too well known and too popular. So go but don’t tell anybody?

My favorite hang. Food and service is consistently excellent. Burgers and soups are the best around. If the red lentil soup or any lamb dish is offered... order it! Beer selection is outstanding as is their offering for whiskey and wine. Overall, its one of the best bar/restaurants in the entire region. Ive always been more than satisfied, happy and look forward to my return.

Great service, great atmosphere, and amazingly flavorful food is why I give the Blue Monkey Tavern five stars! Normally when I come to the Blue Monkey I always get their thick and juicy Blue Monkey Burger. Stopped in for lunch a couple months back and ordered the roast duck sandwich, which was scrum-diddly-umptous! The Blue Monkey Tavern is a must to visit!

Great beer and good food what else could you ask for. I dont get the negative reviews especially about the owner, although at times he may seem to some as a little surly hes actually a pretty nice guy when you get to know him. My wife and I have a bit of a drive to get to the monkey, we go about once a month, and its always worth the drive.
