I live locally and as many others have mentioned the pizza is burnt(underneath) . The bottom is so dark you can literally peel it off. Its unevenly cooked so I believe they heat up the oven to maximum to over cook, so your pizza is done throughout. I have ordered several times and finally nicely told the owner(slim guy) are pies are often burnt. He got extremely defensive and offended. Despite me trying my best to approach the situation with care. They do make my food I would never be rude.. I was told that "you dont have to order here if you dont like it anymore, our oven runs hot its nothing I can do!" I was extremely disappointed by his lack of customer service especially after ordering literally hundreds of pizzas through the years. This burnt pizza has been only the last year or so and I hoped they would listen to customer feedback. They assume because they have a monopoly on the area everyone likes the food, not the case buddy my neighbors feel the same. But when you dont feel like driving for pizza, and you have hungry kids you make due. I cant deal with horrible customer service, you want to see a angry owner ask for your pizza lightly cooked. Unfortunately its the only way to get it half edible.

Ive never ordered a pie from this place, just clams, wraps, pasta, and recently chicken tenders which were just breading and gross. I ended up throwing them away. I only order delivery from this place so Ive never been inside, but ***Pie-Zone*** is the only place in West Orange that will get my business for a pie. Master has too many chains to care about customer service and price consistency. Their clams casino are good, but not excellent and they are overpriced. Their pasta is always usually swimming in juice that I end up pouring out, but the reason I order it is because they offer whole wheat pasta, which many establishments dont offer. Might as well just cook yourself and make it the way you like it because the prices for seafood pasta are a bit ridiculous. Also they advertise that you can order online, but that service never works for me.

The food i ordered was good! that wasnt the problem!!!! Their online prices changed in NOV and still havent been updated. It took over an hour for my one item order to get here and Ive worked in restaurants before I know things get busy and can take a long sometimes but this was not the reason this time. The driver got lost kept calling my work for directions when where I am isnt hard to find especially if you know West Orange at all which you should if you are a delivery driver that delivers in West Orange... He then came in with no apology and gave me an attitude when I didnt tip and asked me if I was sure I was ok with my total. YES! I was ok with it thats not how you get a tip. Needless to say I probably wont be ordering from here anymore...

I have ordered from Master Pizza a number of times for lunch but my last experience has ended my relationship with this establishment. Half way through my escarole and sausage soup I found insect in the soup. My co-worker also checked just to verify what it was. I called the restaurant to make them aware and the staff apologized explaining that soups are made fresh to order but something might have jumped in while it was being made. She offered to have me speak with the manager then came back to the phone to inform me the manager was too busy to come to the phone. She offered another soup or a credit for next time but after the lack of response from the manager I was turned off and will no longer support this business.

the taste is bland, the texture is rubbery and the pie is badly put together - as far the spread of sauce, cheese, topping and cut go. Don;t even think of getting a hot sandwich - they are dry, ingredients taste like frozen food rejects ... and usually look like a 2 year old threw them together (i.e. could you please melt the cheeze on a parmigiana sandwich !) ... we live so close by, so this is our emergency-only-must-pick-it-up-ourselves pizza place - and every time we order and eat it - we wonder why we did ... there are several other pizzerias in the area, which are much better... i guess convenience trumps taste in our case ... .... but one mans garbage pie is anothers pizza-perfecto!

ive been here several times just because its the closest pizza place to my house and when the pizza is good its real good the problem is its only good 1 out of 4 times the rest of the time its uncooked or burnt several times i picked it up and got home just to find out the whole bottom is black and burnt and charred the other times the dough wasnt cooked at all....terrible i have given them more chances then i really should have and they just cannot get it right....i would definitely not recommend going here drive the extra distance to go somewhere else if you have to.....the one in union is much better

they just rock. food quality is high, the dishes are always consistent & delicious. havent had all the pizzas they make, but have had ones like the Las Vegas and damn it is good. My favorite dish there is the Penne Arrabiata, delicious gravy with nice hot peppers & sausage. Its a little pricey, but you get what you pay for without a doubt. The portions are large & the sandwiches big, as are the salads.

We ordered pizza and wings. Simple enough. The pizza arrived cold and soggy we had to put it in our toaster oven to finish cooking to make it taste decent. Weve ordered a few times and always hit or miss. We were hungry and ordered last night for last minute dinner but it was our last. If you order pizza and you end up having to cook it again after its delivered, its time to find a new pizza place.

They arrived exactly on time and I must say that the ingredients seem good but if you like soggy pizza, then you should order from here. I call to ask if the Veggie pizza should be soggy and I get the answer that "the vegetables retain so much water that makes the pizza this way". I order Veggie pizzas from different places and never had a soggy one. So if you like wet pizza, please order from here!

I really like Master Pizza. The crust is great and the toppings are savory. I have NO idea why anyone would say negative things about this place. We recently took a trip to the City and stood in line for over an hour for a pizza that was comparable to the product served at MPs. In fact...I think Ill order one tonight. For the money...its pretty darn good.

Delicious pizza and superb service! My dad came in here not long ago to order a pizza. He has trouble walking. Employees saw him in the parking lot and rushed to open the door for him. On the way out, they even carried the pizza out to the car! The pie was delicious and worth every penny. DEFINITELY coming back again!! Thank you!

The Brooklyn pie is one of the best. Master Pizza never lets me down. Courteous delivery. They can be busy on weekends, but when youre one of the best Pizza places in town, you gotta expect that. Their wings are delicious as well. Their pastas are very good and large portions. I usually have enough for lunch the following day.
