Been going to Tastee in Edison, South Brunswick, and Lawrenceville for years-- always satisfying, Last night we went to Lawrenceville and ordered tuna subs to go. The tuna has changed. Its a cheaper variety, bad odor, very fishy, close to inedible. We had to throw out the three sandwiches. I dont know if the other two Tastees have changed their tuna recipe. I hope not. Do yourself a favor: Stay away from tuna in Lawrenceville store-- not just disappointing, but repulsive.

I have always loved Tastee subs! I grew up around the Middlesex County Tastee sub shop. I was very excited that there was one in Mercer when I moved here! After frequenting this shop over the past few years I can say that I constantly get top notch quality subs that are just like the ones I used to get from their flagship store. The bread is perfect and the meats and vegetables are always fresh too! Cant ask for more. Perfection!

This Tastee is the offspring of the Tastee Sub in Edison, the absolute best subs in the world! Try the roast beef, you do not even have to chew it - it is that tender. And no one makes tuna like Tastee does. Kyle and his brother are the nicest guys too. So, if you transplanted from the New Brunswick area to Mercer County, like I did, you will be happy to know you can still get a great sub again.

This is only about the service. Food is always good. I called in an order for 3 subs. Two were fine and one was completely wrong. Ordered turkey, got very rare roast beef. I called and told them that Id bring the wrong one back and please make the correct one. Got the second sandwich home and they forgot the tomatoes. Nothing against the food, but the young workers were little lax.

I would of rated based on wait time but I realised it was lunch hour so Ill rate on the food. Soft bread, sweet honey turkey and the veggies were fresh you can tell. Service was good they all smiled behind the countertop. I watched the deli meat and cheese being cut and placed on the bread and the condiments too. I love shops like these over subway chains any day. 5 stars.

Love their tuna subs, and have since I lived near their Edison location in the mid 80s. So good, used to drive for them from Washington TWP (Warren County) NJ and Zionsville PA (near Allentown). Now I live right down the street from Lawrenceville location - love these guys! 5% discount for cash, freshest bread, great subs.

I come here once in a while, and the subs are average. Some times the bread is soft, and other times the bread is dry and hard to bite.The amount of meat and add-ons they give you also differs based on who is prepping the sub. Its not bad, but its not great.

Make sure to use Mayo or Oil and Vinegar or something, can be dry alone. The large is enormous, I always take half home. Not to mention President Obama paid them a visit. Definitely worth it.

Awesome place. Great sandwiches, highly recommended. Best sub shop in Lawrenceville. Only better place in the area is hoagie haven in Princeton, but that doesnt really count.

I love this place! I always get the tuna salad platter and it doesnt disappoint! Limited parking is in the front and additional parking is in the rear.
