Ordered a lomo saltado for pick up... So I look at my food and notice I mostly have only rice and fries mixed in the dish. It was accompanied with very small shavings of beef.. I paid 14 dollars for this meal.... I got more meat in a MC double... Im pretty sure I can get more meat in a subway foot long.. so I call to tell them about my experience... I am told to bring the food back for a refund..I tell them Im at work and am a driver.. I cant come by now.. the person on the phone offered a delivery driver to pick up my food I wasnt happy with and a refund... So I tell him again Im a driver Im not in one spot. It will be hard to get to me. So I wasnt offered anything else.. now Im stuck eating a lomo saltado with just rice and fries. Never buying at don Alex again horrible portions and horrible customer service.

So today I was trying to eat different for once because I got tired of the same food and my friend really recommended me of this place. I went to the restaurant and I was greeted very well. I was sat down, was asked for my drink and I ordered a ice tea. Then I was ready to order and I order a lomo saltado which I highly recommend you future customers get. Then I ate it and the food was very delicious, very well cooked. They treated me very well, great services by the waiters. I ened up leaving with a smile on my face. If you are new to the area you should defienalty try the food in Keniworth really delicous especially the green sauce very popular or if you live anywhere in New Jersey you should try don Alex.

Have gone here in the past and food was good, not great. Here now with a party of 10 at 5pm. Place is empty except us. Service was very slow, I finished eating before 1 in the party received their food. 2 seafood dishes smelled bad and were returned. Asked for the manager and wad told he/she wasnt here. Would only come back for chicken take out, thats why 2 stars.

I love their food. A ton of food for a cheap price. One meal can feed 2 or 3 people. Chicken is juicy..not sure what the other people are saying about dry food. Trust me, I know dry chicken. Thats the reason I get chicken from this place...because all other places are dry.

Ordered 12 whole chicken I told them to have it ready by 1:30pm guy tells me ya will have it ready dont worry. I come in didnt have it ready mind you this is for a party . From all don Alex this is the worst one Im sorry Ill go to union next time

Food was excellent. Dont know what the other reviewers are talking about. Maybe they are from a competing restaurant. The food there is excellent. All of my co-workers and I work up the street for them and order lunch from there all the time.

Could be because its almost 7:30 PM but I order yuca frita and it taste like its was just quickly dipped in to the fryer for a minute and serves to me. The beans taste like it was just open from a can. Overall the flavor was poor.

Love that green sauce, and great prices. We normally do takeaway (roughly once every fortnight) but the few times that we have eaten there have been great, although its more of a dinner vibe, for family outings, not first dates.
