An excellent, rustic/nautical decorated (so it seems) restaurant situated on the lower floor of the W Hotel in Hoboken. My fiancé and I came to dinner and sat outside with our dog. The wait staff could not have been nicer to us and our pooch. The meal as a whole was quite good. In the picture below are lamb ribs, which were an appetizer special. Although a bit small they were excellently prepared and flavorful served with a creamy sauerkraut. The only semi-dissapointing dish was the clam chowder; although tasty, it was nothing special. My fiancé had the lamb cavatelli. The dish was large, flavorful and well-prepared. You will also not be disappointed by the sharing plate deviled eggs (only 3 but exquisite) or the biscuit-like bread and butter. Not to mention, the drinks are delicious and drink options, delicious. Priced in-line with similar quality restaurants in the area.

A delightful place. A very modern restaurant with good service and a menu focused on sharing and interaction among guests. For example, there are about 15 or 20 items that can be ordered for a charcuterie course. There are nearly an equal number of small plates which can also be shared, in my opinion should be shared. That this restaurant happens to be located within the W Hotel should neither be held against it nor allowed to in view the property with extra value. The well-designed and Light drenched room and modern fun menu arent as fun to explore as the rest of Hoboken. I did have some service problems here, but nothing that would prevent me from returning. These are detailed in my review of this establishment on Yelp and are not worth repeating here.

Great date night spot! I came here for dinner for my boyfriends birthday and service + location was beautiful. The restaurant is next to the W hotel with a great outdoor seating to watch the sunset. I was skeptical coming to this location as I had only heard great reviews about the brunch. The dinner was even better because the Lamb meatballs: very seasoned and yummy. Salmon: favorite dish, perfectly cooked. The dish came with a sauce on top that could come separately but really balanced the meal. Ribeye: special at the time for the dinner menu and was a rare type only found in New Jersey. Its was so juicy and flavorful that I really hope whoever reads this review can order on the menu. Serving was huge and well worth the price behind it.

Brunch at Halifax is a steal. For $23 per person they will bring you all plates (like tapas) in the menu to your table. In addition, if you like any particular plate you can ask your waiter to bring it again at no extra cost for a period of 2 hours. For 32 dollars you can have unlimited drinks per person which is still a steal. The view is also breathtaking and the ambience is nice and calm. The waitress was very professional and was constantly checking on our table to make sure we were eating at all times. This place is definitely a must for people looking for a great brunch experience. After brunch you can enjoy the skyline of the city from the Hoboken Park.

The service was excellent, the views from the patio were impeccable and the crowd is young and well dressed. The food however, was hit or miss. The pizzas which are on a thin and crispy crust almost reminiscent of a cracker are delicious and the homemade pasta is worth coming back for. The espresso short ribs were disappointing and despite the creamy and well cooked polenta lacked flavor completely. There was no coffee flavor at all and while the texture and appearance were good it failed to make up for the punch of flavor one expects from something rubbed in espresso.

Excellent Overall Experience. Our waiter, Gigi was phenomenal. Ate in the outside section on a beautiful September evening. Salad and Filet Mignon was perfect along with a wonderful beer recommendation (Chimay Red Belgium). Cheese cake was also Excellent. After dinner we went up to the chandelier lounge and had a great time and some over priced drinks. But the company and the view made up for the pricy drinks. I would highly recommend both the restaurant and lounge to my friends (and I have already). Very nice evening out.

The staff here were the best part of our visit. Kat the manager was really personable, professional and welcoming, she also had a great rapport with her staff. Aaron and I think Cassy (bartenders) were great. We went for the bottomless mimosa Sunday brunch, the food was delicious. Just one minus, the fried chicken was not seasoned well and not fried to perfection and the waffle was dry. Try all the rest, very good. Also they do not skimp on the champagne :) We loved the decor, atmosphere and service.

I just held my daughters bachelorette brunch on Sunday. Roxanne was most helpful in making the arrangements and Maria was the best in making sure we were happy. The food was excellent and in abundance. Plates were refilled constantly, we could not eat all the food. A bottle of champagne per person was perfect, not to mention the $4 martinis. We will definitely cone again. Kudos to the servers who continuously hustled to keep all happy. Great view of Hoboken waterfront and such a pretty room!

Halifax is a rare restaurant that looks great from the inside and out. If you sit outside, you get the view of lower Manhattan. Inside, you have a sleek and luxurious restaurant and bar. The manager is very professional and accomodating. The food is also quite good and the pricing was decent. My only issue was how slow the servers in the blue shirts were. It took me over 30 minutes to get my check. It is a shame given how flawless every other aspect of my visit here was.

The food is really delicious, whatever you choose. We come here regularly and prefer this to many NYC restaurant options. Granted, prices are high, but it worthwhile considering the food quality and setting. This place can get crowded on weekends, and then service can be slow. We had to friendly remind them once that we were still waiting for our food, and in the end, they offered us free desert or a free drink. And their mojitos are excellent.

I love going to Halifax for brunch. Ive been 5-6 times already and the food is spectacular. The all-you-can-eat tapas style brunch is the best food at the best price you can find. The staff is present and mindful and Ive always had a good experience whether Im there with one other person or as a party of 8. I also have dietary restrictions and they are always very careful to make sure Im taken care of. I cant recommend Halifax place enough.

Poor service and good food. My friends ordered a wine bottle and the manager (apparently only the manager has the keys to the cellar and is allowed to bring a bottle out) took an hour to bring it and spend ten more minutes to decide who is going to pour it for them. This happened twice (two bottles were ordered). I couldnt understand what was the need of this ritual. On a positive note, the weird service made us laugh the whole evening.

Zylo came highly recommended by my husbands coworker and Im so glad we came. Hostess & staff were friendly. We sat outside, we had a great view of the NYC skyline (the weather was perfect). We ordered the Streamed Mussels; they were OUTSTANDING! We each ordered the Fresno Burger - Wow! AMAZING burger. I would highly recommended Zylo! Great for date night.
