I never had to put salt on a pizza. No matter what flavor, no matter the sauce, cheese, crust, toppings, etc., Ive never had to put salt on pizza. In fact, Ive never despised a pizza joint enough to speak up and say "dont go here." I know that keeping kosher is tough, but if youve kept kosher all your life and had only Jerusalem pizza, you should get your rabbi to say its okay to eat at other pizza places just because the pizza is THAT TERRIBLE. 1) The crust is dry, has no texture, and felt like stale bread. The crust under the pizza itself was way too doughy, like it had over-leavened, and the outer crust was not crispy, not doughy... it just failed as crust. 2) The sauce was just tomato... no salt, no pepper, no herbs. It had no flavor, both when eaten as normal and when I scraped some out to taste it. 3) The cheese was utterly flavorless, did not melt, and was too oily, even for a grease lover like me. I went back for the falafel: just okay, not so crunchy, but very flavorful. The toppings and sides were good. The hot sauce is POWERFUL, and I LOVE hot sauce and have developed a taste. Use a little at a time. I cant compare the falafel to Shushan across the street, but its nothing like Mahmouns in the city.

We were looking for a place with a reliable hechsher that serves Cholov Yisroel and Pas Yisroel; and were delighted to find them. Jerusalem Kosher Restaurant is the best Kosher dairy restaurant in the Highland Park and Edison area. We always go back for their great choice of foods and cozy and friendly atmosphere. Shalom the owner and the rest of the crew always serve us with a smile and impress us with their speed! Their food is always delicious and reasonably priced. They have a board on the wall where the Jewish community post their business cards and ads and is a great source of net working for us. They also sell a few Hebrew news papers and some Kosher food products imported from Israel.

I grew up eating Jerusalem Pizza and I LOVE it. Now that I live in Israel, I miss it everyday. There is no other pizza half as good. They also have many different options on the menu such as soups, eggplant parmigiana, salads, falafel, fish and other stuff (I only eat the pizza usually so Im not such an expert in those fields. Its also a very "heimish" place. I read the reviews about it being gross and I very much disagree, so I would recommend trying it for yourself.

Oh Le Peep! I LOVE your peeps. (Major YELP love to D, btw!) I love your food, and gosh darn it, I have dreams of their crabby patty benedict when I was preggo. ...and I still scarf it down now that my tyke is 6mos! I want one now actually.... They make the best mixed coffees... perfect for this sleep deprived mom. CAWFFFEEEE! Is actually what I name it because it is sooooo goood that you want to slooowwwllllyyy pronounce it because you gotta savor that liquid gold.

Ive been eating at JP for years and love it! The secret to Jerusalem Pizza is to make sure they give you slices from a fresh pie just out of the oven. Same deal with the Felafel--insist that they fry the felafel balls fresh for you, rather than nuking ones that have been sitting around, and you wont be disappointed. I also recommend JP for catering. Shalom is easy to work with and offers a wider menu of catering options than what you see in the store.

My family and I have been eating at Jerusalem Pizza for years. The food is good and inexpensive. Recently, they catered the luncheon that followed my sons bar mitzvah and they couldnt have been easier to work with. The food was great, the setup was beautiful, and the servers did a great job. Thank you for everything.

Pizza is good and the soups are fine if a little salty. Try the side dishes, you can also get a combo plate and pick and choose to your liking- I think the combo is best bang for your buck in the store. Not FINE dining, but a neighborhood pizza store with more than the usual assortment. Charlie G.

If you like GROSS pizza, you`ll love Jerusalem Pizza. WORST pizza on this side of the Raritan. With so many other great pizza places in the area, make sure you eat Jerusalem Pizza`s food-GARBAGE in emergency only situations. It should probably be renamed to GROSSusalem Pizza!!!!!!

I ate hear the other day, I cant even explain how great it was. The pizza was delicious and all of my kids said it was one of the best slices they ever had. They have the best falafel, and a great selection of all different types of salads.

This place has gotten better over the years. Only kosher falafel in town, and it is very good. The pizza prices have skyrocketed. At least the pie is big, but still I think for kosher food is expensive.
