I wont discuss the food as Im sure everyone has their own tastebuds. What I will say is that Italian Affair is overpriced. I ordered the plain pizza and it was good. Not "OMG! good" but plain good. Got a butter knife to cut it up with. If I would use my hands to eat by the slice, the cheese, sauce and oil would droop down. I looked at the other guests in my party and some didnt seem satisfied with the portions received for the price they paid. The servers were trying their best to please everyone and they did a good job too. But at times it can get chaotic. Our waitress took our orders but then couldnt remember who got what. A good system many eateries use is the arranged seating order. (Seat one ordered this, seat two ordered that, etc) one helper was asked to box up some leftovers but got frustrated and placed dirty dishes on top of the leftover. He then returned with the leftovers in a box. (Not good) Tables were placed so close the plates had to be passed down from one guest to another. When asked to have separate checks (because some guests in a group dont drink liquors, nor do they order specialty meals, and therefore would be unfair to them), waitress replied they were too busy to do that. Unfortunately the tipping was already included with the bill or I would have removed some of it for poor or lack of service. So while the food may be good, the service needs some attention. I removed one star for the prices, one for the lack of service and another for comfort.

I have eaten here 3 times and all 3 times the food was the same - - BLAND! My Irish boyfriend can cook tastier Italian food (no offense to the Irish, but other than Campbells I do not think there is even an Irish cookbook in print). I was not sure they knew what garlic or salt was until I tasted the Italian salad dressing so I know they have it in the kitchen (and for me to reach for the salt shaker, you KNOW the food has no flavor). However, it seemed like they used vegetable oil in the salad dressing - - in an ITALIAN restaurant no less (how about some olive oil?). I grew up in an Italian family and I do not think I have tasted red sauce so acrid and sour as that at Italian Affair. On the positive side, the restaurant seems clean.

I went here for my graduation from Rowan University on May 11, 2017. The food was amazing but the service was horrible and my family and I were discriminated against for being black. The waiter barely came back to check on us and when we asked for the check the waiter brings his manager over. The manager of this establishment tells us that we better tip and tries not to give us our change because they assumed that since we were minorities we were not going to tip. None of the other surrounding white parties received this treatment. I would tell people not to come here it isnt worth the disrespect.

The Italian Affair is an awesome restaurant. It is definitely my favorite place to dine! The food and the service create an experience that places at the top of my list for dining establishments in Gloucester County. The wine selection is very well chosen, the staff is extremely friendly and personable, and the food is so good that I want to lick the plate clean when Im done. Just recently I attended a "Wine Dinner" at the Italian Affair alongside friends, and had a terrific time! It was a culture-packed event with great food, great wine, and great people.

I have eaten here several times, and food at best is mediocore. On my latest experience I ordered two quarts of soup to go. The chicken was ok, but way over loaded with pasta. Then also purchased a quart of wedding soup. This was disgusting. First, again it was all pasta, but there were no greens and no meatballs, and hardly any broth. For $7.80 a quart I was ripped off. Not to mention they throw in some of their home made rolls which were hard as a rock. Not sure how they stay in business. Your better off at Guillarmos in Pitman.

I am a huge fan of italian food and went to Italian Affair to sit down and have a meal with my family. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our appetizers and the restaurant wasnt even busy. When we asked to speak to the manager he would not come to the table so that we could address our concerns and the poor server was clearly embarassed by the poor management. We got our meals shortyl after and decided to wrap up the cold food and take it home. We will not return to the restaurant and we never recommend to anyone else.

I wouldnt know how the food was, because I never ordered a main course. The waiter was very rude, and rushed me to order. I had just sat down and started looking at the menu. He sat over my shoulder pushing me to order to the point where I just said Im good, Im not hungry. Not once was I asked do you need a min to look. This is the first review I have ever written in my life. Never have I come across a situation like that.

My wife and I diner at Italian Affair at least once a month over the last several years. Weve tried many items on the menu and found all to be better than any in the South jersey area. Additionally, the service was by far the best you come to expect. The family owned Italian Affair has done very well. Make your next meal at the Italian Affair.

Amazing food, drinks and homemade desserts at a reasonable price. The Restaurant has an great selection of wines from different countries and regions. I have been there several times and have had a great experience and a wonderful meal each and every time. I highly recommend you stop in and try it for yourself. John Gabrielle

Service was very slow, from taking our orders to receiving them. Food was OK, but not exceptional. Appetizers took about 45 minutes to come out & our main course took at least an hour & 15 minutes. Went on a Sunday night & was not very busy, so we werent sure why it took so long. Definitely not worth the money.

With live music and a beautiful place to eat both inside and on the patio, the Italian Affair is the de facto location for Italian food. The only issue one may have with this restaurant is that the service can be slow. While youre waiting however, there is complimentary bread with olive oil. Its very palatable.

Very very good food. We had the pumpkin ravioli and gnocchi in some sort of cheese sauce. That was the best gnocchi Ive ever had. Seriously delicious. Also the ravioli was great. Big pitcher of sangria. Great service. Would recommend to anyone. Awesome spot for a date.

Got an order of spaghetti to go. Picked it up and it was nothing but spaghetti and straight tomato sauce. No bread or anything, just about $2 worth of pasta and Don Pepinos tomato sauce. Paid $15. I guess the cook was ill and the dishwasher filled in.

Excellent food and Wine. The Service is always excellent. We have been going to Italian Affair for nearly 20 years. They keep things fresh and new and the service is always prompt. The best Italian in the area.
