Used to be Good now it is Terrible. Read Latest Reviews. Let me start by saying Metro used to one of my and my wifes favorites, but unfortunately no longer. Last week on a Tuesday I decided to pick up takeout to bring home as a surprise. I got one of our favorites the KMK roll. Half the roll had no eel on the inside and there was very little tuna and what there was of it was not top quality. We then decided on Saturday to go to Metro for Dinner as a family hoping that the takeout was just an off night; unfortunately it was not. The KMK roll had the same exact problems and they were the highlight of the meal. The scallop sashimi was not cleaned and bordering on rotten. The soft shell crab in the spider roll was burnt and not edible. The calamari was obviously frozen and cooked in dirty old oil. The chicken fingers were breaded frozen most likely bought at Sams Club and were inedible as well since they were cooked in the same dirty old oil. We voiced our complaints to the waitress who told the manager and she came back and offered us one dessert for the four of us, we accepted, but did not eat it. The dessert was Banannas Foster Cream Pie. We each took a bite and left the rest it was a complete mess. Worse of all the manager only took the spider roll off the bill. I approached the manager on the way out and told him of all the problems with the meal and about the take out from only 5 nights before. While he apologized he did not really seem to care. If I was the manager and had a regular customer with such complaints I would have at least offered a gift card for next time, but probably would have comped the whole meal. It doesnt really surprise me that the food has gone so downhill since the manager was a former waiter with no managerial experience. Even the appearance of the place is falling apart. We sat upstairs and the sheetrock on the ceiling is hanging down with mold visible on the rafters. I will never dine at Metro again and I highly recommend others not waste their money there as well. Its a shame that a place that was so good has become so bad.

Ive always had great experiences here! But wanted to bring one up in particular. Just this past Friday night my husband and I went there for dinner and our waiter was Matt and I cant say enough nice things about him. My husband and I had a rough week and needed a night out, well Matt treated us beyond spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend requesting Matt as your waiter when making reservations - he literally is the best person and so kind. He makes sure your night will be worth going out. THANK YOU MATT FOR YOUR GREAT SERVICE AND AWESOME PERSONALITY! Please go see him- you are missing out if you dont!

I have dinner and lunch here frequently. Food is delicious and always fresh! Drinks are Amazing! Atmosphere is great! They serve a delicious humus like spread Ive never tasted anything like it before. One of my favorites is the calamari and shrimp appetizer, seared tuna salad and braised short ribs. *My overall favorite is the weekend brunch that I recommend to everyone with their signature mimosas. *** AMAZING!!!

Had not been there in a while...service was good. Appys served were luke warm..seemed reheated with thick tacky sauce...usually love that dish the calama with shrimp...nope. Soup was effortless broth with what seemed like fresh vegies thrown in as an after thought. Burger was good..my sons choice, my wife got a mexican steak....idk. horrible. My dish was fair. 3 of us with a couple drinks $100.00 not going back

Nice and cozy ambience. The appetizers were delicious .Next time I will sit down for a full meal. At first I thought the waitresses looked a little unfriendly, but they turned out to be great. I think if they greet customers with a smile and introduce themselves with a name, this could be an awesome restaurant.

I ate there twice while I was visiting Freehold for a week. Both experiences were very good. The food was very great and service was average. The menu has many interesting options for many different tastes. One of my visits, I took advantage of the great happy hour specials.

Super adorable - lunch with your ladies and feel like one! Sushi is fresh, baked brie is delicious - the menu and presentations are creative and fun. Havent had a chance to check them out for brunch but anyone who puts marscipone cheese in french toast is a friend of mine!

Perfect restaurant to relax for cocktails and appetizers. The appetizers are so good and filling that dinner isnt necessary :) The atmosphere is fun and the food is creative and tasty. One of my favorite local restuarants.

This place is really cool and has a great bar. Outside seating and a modern decor. The food is really good too. Friday and Sat its clubbish with DJ. The bartenders are super fast and its easy to get a drink.

Great outdoor seating in a covered patio with heated lamps for cool days. Pretty town setting in Downtown Freehold enjoy walking around historical area, enjoy architecture , potted flowers

Amazing food. "Metro classic" on the brunch menu is the truth. Also delicious bloody Marys at $5 each, great deal. Great service.. great alcoholic coffee drinks for desert too

Pricey but the food is excellent, great drink menu as well. Perfect for date night, one of my favorite spots for dinner. Good sushi. They have a great brunch menu as well.

Nice Atmosphere. Kind of clubby/loungy, but also has a restaurant feel. Food is good, but expensive. Didnt like service. Guy hardly spoke any English.
