Renault Winery is known for its reputation of producing great wine, a wonderous ambience for weddings, and an intriguing place to play golf. I surprised my wife with an overnight packaged stay at the winerys Tuscan House Hotel, which included 2 $25 food credit to either of the two restaurants and a $50 gift store credit. Cool. I also had purchased from GROUPON the wine tour which included $38 food credit to Josephs Restaurant. Wine tour was ok, not terrific. You do taste a variety of Renaults wines at the end of the tour in the wine tasting room. The other part of the tour is a brief history lesson and how the wine is made in the "museum" area. Interesting facts and such but I guess I was looking foward to more of what we see on food shows...sniffing, swishing, spitting, ..etc. You know more of "how to taste wine like the pros" kinda thing. So after the approx 45min tour we checked into the Tuscan. Beautiful entrance with duplicate paintings of the real Tuscan. Spacious bedroom, king size bed, couch...and entertainment center with an old CTR Zenith TV..huh. "This winery was designed with nostalgia in mind" said the tour guide repeatingly. What he meant was this place last update was during the 1980s nostalgia period and havent been updated since. Im getting winded here so late me cut to the chase. We ate at both restaurants...Gourmet: 3 course meal-food pretty good, wife loved the lamb, pasta a tad salty, portion size decent; but whats with the 70s wicker chair, and tables with laminate faux wood like im at my pre-updated grandparents kitchen table. Nostalgia. Josephs Restaurant (breakfast): portion size ok, taste...eh, menu size: one page and basic, ambience: table setup is like Im at diner just no advertising on my paper placement, plate presentation would be better if you used fresh fruit not the ones starting to breakdown so theyre beginning that soft stage, perhaps again some mild updating. With the advertising, rave reviews, weddings, and numerous special events hosted here, I expected a little more oomph. Oh yes some of the wines are quite good.

My wife and I took a trip to the winery for their Sunday Brunch, tour, and wine tasting. The brunch was incredible. They had almost anything you wanted, as well as specials from the kitchen, all included in the cost. On the one side you had your heated dishes with everything from roasted pork, to pasta, to bacon and sausage, to chicken and more. On the other side they had pastries, salads and more, all of which was delicious. In addition to that, they had an omlette station, and a carving station with roast beef. Off to the side, they had pitchers of sangria and their Blueberry Champagne, which was free with the purchase of the brunch. Honestly, if you went away hungry, it was your fault. Afterwards, we went on the tour of the winery, which wasnt as involved as I had hoped. I felt like there were some areas that should have been on the tour but werent. Our guide, Melissa, was a cheerful and bubbly gal with lots of enthusiasm and knowledge, and made it a joy to listen to her. Finally, we ended up at the tasting, and this is where I could not give it the 5th star. I am not a drinker of dry wines, and to my dismay, we could not try out the wines that we wanted to, but instead had to taste the wines that were provided, which were very dry, aside from two. Other tastings I have been to, I have been able to explain what I was looking for, and was provided the best match. The winery is great. They have a golf course as well, for those looking to get a round or two. The grounds are nicely kept, and everything feels welcoming. If you are in the area, stop by, make reservations, and enjoy a day at the winery.

What a horrible experience this was........ Called and booked mothers day reservations over a month ago for "150th Anniversary Addition of Renault Sunday Brunch" see attached. Confirmed with Patty. She told me how wonderful the Brunch was and drink packages staring at $9.99 which included Bloody Mary, Mimoso and their signature drinks would be included. I made reservations for 12 people @1:00. I was giving the information to my daughter who is 1:40 minutes away from the location, who happen to go on the website and notice that they cancelled the brunch and now will be having al carte brunch instead. So I called Renault Winery to speak to Patty to confirm information on the website and see why no one called me. Spent all day Thursday waiting for a return call from Patty. Its 2 week before Mothers Day and Patty should know that it will be hard to get reservation for 12 people. Not to mention they had my cc information on hold and a phone call would have been nice. If this is how they treat customers I would NEVER go to Renault Winery for anything......

This place is horrible ,we arrived and it didnt look open. Walked into gift shop /tasting room At the cash register their was a nasty woman who didnt greet us. The guy doing the wine tasting was busy playing games on his phone. When I finally got his attention and asked him about a tasting he seemed annoyed. He sent us back t the register where the woman told me she was screwed because I gave her a hundred dollar bill. Than the tasting the guy went in the back and brought out wine that had been in a refrigerator and he stumbled coming out with it. He kept rubbing his face and playing with his phone the whole time. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. The wine was old and horrible. We visit many wineries and this was the worst by far.

Entire facility looks pretty run down and needs major updating. The room we were in is very dark with only 1 window in an alcove. Even with lights on, the room is still dark. The wallpapers are peeling off the wall, carpets are ripped, only 1 outlet available next to a sink. We stayed for a night using one of their packages, which included a $40 dining credit at Josephs Restaurant. The food was good, but very pricey, and our server was great and attentive. The wine tour and tasting was ok. The tour guide was nice but seems to be in a rush to get it done. Overall, the restaurant was good but the hotel definitely needs a a lot of work done. Most likely, we wont be staying here again.

I was searching on Groupon for getaways for my boyfriend and I and found a deal on groupon that included over night stay, wine tour/tasting and dinner voucher. We werent sure what to expect but once we arrived to the hotel everyone was so friendly! Jim checked us in and was super nice. We settled in then went to the wine tour, our tour guide was Melissa also very friendly and informative. At the end of the tour we got to keep our glasses which was a nice surprise! Dinner was also great! we had pasta and wine (which was good pricing) Overall I give Renault an A+! cant think of one bad thing to say of the experience.

My parents attended one of the wine festivals at Renault and had a wonderful time. They loved the event and the grounds so much, they ended up going back for a weekend stay. The hotel manager helped them find the perfect getaway package so they could make the most of their weekend. They played a round of golf, went to Jospehs for dinner, took the historic wine tour followed by the tasting, and went to the Sunday brunch in the morning. They loved the unique charm of the hotel, and they raved about the food at Josephs. Im sure they will be back very soon!
