Rotten Christmas experience. Called before we left and asked if we needed to make a reservation. "How many?" "Two." "No need for two. Just walk in." We arrived about :35 later. Lobby a madhouse, stuffed with people standing and waiting. 3 chairs for people who were waiting. Finally managed to get to the counter. Two people, one giant, fat, seated woman, and one very thin, sour faced, standing man. Neither looked up or acknowledged us. Finally I bent down and put my face near the womans. "How long for two people?" "Twenty minutes." She didnt take our name or give us a number. OK. We waited. Almost everyone waiting walks up to the counter several times to ask how much longer. After :15 of waiting NO ONE looked at or acknowledged us, so I approached the thin, sour-faced man. "How much longer?" "Thirty minutes." I said, "No, the lady told us twenty minutes fifteen minutes ago. How much longer NOW?" He just looked at me. Eventually I spoke to the fat lady again (the fat lady and thin man kept coming and going into the seated area, and waiters were walking through the waiting crowd with full plates of food to deliver, so it was very confusing). I told her wed been waiting :20 and asked how much longer. She said they would see if we could be seated in a room that had been booked by a private party. We waited some more. By this point the 3 VERY old people who were waiting when we first arrived were slowly each walking up to the counter trying to find out WHEN they might be seated. 4 young Asian men approached the woman and said theyd been waiting a long time, but theyd come in just after us. Yet they were seated w/in 3 minutes of complaining. A group of 3 people who came in about :30 after us (after the fat woman said she would see if we could be seated in the private room) were whisked past everyone and seated right away. A family of 4 adults (mother, father, and two grand parents) with two young children who were there when we first arrived were STILL waiting. Finally I made my husband ask the fat woman (whose fat daughter was in and out in back of the counter and who we asked when wed be seated, as well) when we would be seated. This was at about :40. After asking her daughter, she said the people in the private room said, "No". Talk about Christmas cheer. At about :40 the part of 3 old people were finally taken into the dining room. At that point I said, "Lets just leave." My husband thought since wed waited so long we would be seated. Id looked into the dining room and only seen large tables and no small ones, and didnt think our chances were good. I said, "Im leaving in 3 minutes if were not seated." Went outside, found an open (no wait) Turkish restaurant 7 minutes away. Walked back in and said, "Lets go." No one looked at us, apologized, nothing. It was like we were imaginary. Weve never eaten there and despite the good reviews for the food, we will NEVER go back. This was the nightmare ON Christmas.

DONT. We went to this place with Chinese friends once and it was "OK" - however, since then we have ordered "in" twice. First time it was just "OK" anfd last night it was inedible. The shrimp in walnut was fishy, the shrimp had turned and the duck dish was just awful and had to be spit out. Weve both got the runs today from the one shrimp we ate. We called to complain and they said the food was supposed to taste that way, that shrimp was "fish" and should taste fishy. And this is not even cheap Chniese food, but higher priced fare, the meal cost us almost 50 bucks for two dishes and a side (the pork dumplings were "OK.") Too bad, we were hoping we had a good Chinese place nearby. Oh well, we always have River Thai, they have exceptional take out, stick with them and save yourself the food poisoning.

I ordered three dishes from here last night and the the food came cold and soggy, the chicken was mostly fat, when I called the restaurant to explain the issue the person who picked up the phone hung up in my face, I would normally never write a review about a business but i couldnt believe the terrible service and food here. Ive lived in the area for over five years now and never experienced something like this, I would not recommend this place to anybody

I live right around the block from this place so its convenient for me but the last time I ordered, the food was not so good. Egg rolls lackluster and not too much flavor. Chicken and broccoli greasy and veggies overcooked. Pork fried rice, again greasy. Pork lo mien not bad. I am looking for another place and so should you.

Very authenticate Chinese food with Shanghai style. We like the food very much. If you prefer Shanghai style food, this is the place to try. The taste is even better than some of the restaurants in NY Chinatown, or Flushing. We will definitely go again if were in the neighborhood.

You come to a place called duck king and dont get the duck dont trust the reviews. It is fantastic, pork belly with sesame buns, soup dumplings to die for, some of the best in the area, Ive been coming back here for years. Must stop in the area. Enjoy

Our family and I come here for duck from time to time. I have to say, if you dont wanna make the trip to New York, this place is the best in the area. Soup dumplings are usually good, but not as juicy as Joes Shanghai.

Placed an order for a pickup and they did not include pancakes. Definitely not the best experience. Food is ok, about 3 out of 5. If you want a really good duck go to NYC, Decoy or worst case Peking Duck House.

Best Peking Duck you can get in NY area. Authentic dishes abound. Avoid "American Chinese" fare. Ask wait staff to help you order if you dont know your Shanghai food.

Not a big fan of the food since Im not used to it. Some stuff has too much seasoning compared to chinese food at home but delicious for Americans

The food is very good, never had a bad meal here. Subtracting a star because the service is mediocre on the weekend and horrendous during the week.

Very close to an authentic Chinese restaurant. The Peking Duck is their specialty and for $33 is a pretty good deal.
