I had heard a few mixed reviews, but decided to try out la crepe. I stopped by after fasting for a blood test at Quest Diagnostics (next door) so to say I was hungry is an understatement. I waited over 20 minutes for my crepe (which I am pretty sure they forgot to make and remembered at some point because there were only 3 people in the place). Then, when it arrived it wasnt what I ordered. Depressed and starving, I ate a few bites and despite my previous 13 hours without food, I was compelled to ask for what I actually ordered. Which I was hesitant to do since I was already there for 45 minutes at this point. Now, I could tell they were not happy I brought this to their attention. They hesitantly offered to make me my CORRECT order. Which mysteriously only took 5 minutes to make this time around. The person who helped me seriously acted like I was clueless but didnt actually listen to much of what I (kindly may I add) tried to explain. The prices are high, and their baked goods are not very "French" more Italian selection than anything else. Now, the crepes are good, not going to take that away from them...but the coffee prices are higher than Starbucks....and higher than France itself as a matter of fact. Its like 5$ for a latte. With the lackluster customer service, high prices, and just good food I dont think Ill be back. Sadly, I also noticed some other customers who appeared to be the same ethnicity as the owners were provided friendlier service. Ironically a nationality that I share, but dont speak the language. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this...but all around disappointed.

The reviews on here about the poor quality of service and food is 100% true. Allow me to to preface this review with this statement: I am an extremely patient person. The downward spiral of the pastry quality is well documented but my wife still likes the pecan pies so I stopped by in order to surprise her with one. The gentleman at the counter didnt even look up when I approached. He grunted "The baker will help you." And he proceeded doing what he was engaged in. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting. He never acknowledged my wait nor sought the baker. When the baker finally came, other guest has entered the business. She (the baker) immediately went to them to attend their needs. The gentleman who ignored me pointed out that I had been waiting. The baker responded "Let me take care of these ladies first and Ill be with you." I am not thin skinned or needy but this kind of customer service was not acceptable. In shock, I slowly walked out (trying to give them a chance to rectify the situation). Nothing. I suppose they are doing well and do not need my business. I will not return for the reasons stated above and the general poor quality of food since the business changed hands. I would encourage you to do the same.

Let me start off by saying it wasnt always like this. Le Crepe use to be Great tasting food.... a little pricey but the best thin, savory crepes around... that was the past :( fast forward to the now). Le Crepe is under new ownership. I think they were bored and have never been in the food industry. after seating ourselves after not being greeted when we came in we quickly realized much has changed. After placing our order t the waiter came back to let me know they do not do some items on their menu. Then it took over 1 hour (not exaggerating) before drinks came out wrong. turns out they did not have ingredients to make the drink. Crepes were horrible. Porgies so bad we ate 1 and threw them out. We paid nearly $60 for 2 for a horrific marathon of a breakfast. Sad to say that the once enjoyable Le Crepe is now dead. R.I.P you will be sadly missed.

We came here after enjoying a meal next door at a Thai restaurant, decided we wont stuff ourselves and go for dessert here. For anyone who will come here for the first time, will find the decor very welcoming. Girls love to take selfies here :) However lately this place has been getting less and less crowded and I truly believe its because of the change of management. We decided to order 3 different types of cakes two of them were ok but the 3rd one ( chocolate lava cake ) had a foreign object in it. It was disgusting and when shown to the server / old lady they said that should not have gotten into the cake but did came from kitchen so they truly apologize for it and gave a cake in exchange. However, that does not justify anything. I was totally disappointed with the quality of food. I hope it gets better.

Disappointed. Went there this Valentines Day and have few comments that I think this new management could use as a red flag and an opportunity for improvement. First... staff shouldnt argue among themselves in front of costumers. Secondly...it would be helpful if each pastry besides the price tag had its name and brief description whats in it, it would help the costumer in making decision what to buy instead of asking questions. One oval shaped pastry was named "sweet potato"...sounds horrible in a French setting. La Crepe is a signature bakery and pricey one...instead of simple "deli" boxes I would expect some kind of logo on it, at least nice logo napkins inside the box. Overall there is a lot of room for improvement under this new management.

Not a fan. What about this place is French. As someone who grew up just a few hours north of France, this isnt French. The crepe was soggy and tasteless. I mean common. If youre gonna charge $7 for dough and a couple drizzles of chocolate sauce then at the very least make it properly. And when I ask for butter I am not talking about the pre-packed salted butter package u get at a diner ... Purely disappointed and def not going back.

I hope they never close! I have been coming here, and its always been delightful. Ham cheese and a little bit of garlic mushrooms is my galette of choice here, always quickly made, always fresh, always hot and tasty. If there is a craving from my sweet tooth, some nutella and chopped nuts is the way to go. Def best ground Coffee in East brunswick

Although this bakery is advertised as French, it is run by Russians so you will see a wide selection of bilinis (crepes) and Russian dumplings (pimieni) which are all home made. They have a full line of cakes to order and by the slice as well.

Ive been coming here since they opened. Ive always been pleased with this places authentic french dishes, crepes, and coffee. Only complaint is that sometimes service is a bit slow. It was better with the previous owner.
