Alright, I dont usually leave reviews, but this really got me fristrated and annoyed. My first time actually going to the bakery but my mother and family has boughten cakes from them many times every year. I go in to get a cup of coffee. I only had my debit card. After making the coffee, I see the sign behind the counter on the back wall that says $10 minimum and I just wanted a coffee. The lady, not sure if shes the owner or not, but shes the blonde haired lady that works there. I said I only have my debit card, I dont have cash on me. She nods her head no and says "No, you have to spend $10!" I do a full 360 turn, to see if theres anything that I would want and there isnt. So I had to go next door to the Liquor store ATM which charged me $2.25 for using their machine and my bank, Chase, charged me $2.50 for using a non-Chase ATM. So I go back and give her the $20, and she gives me back $18 change and says "sorry about that". No she wasnt. I paid $4.75 plus $2.00 for 1 cup of coffee. $6.75 for a regular cup of coffee. I didnt want to be rude and just leave it since I already made it. Regardless, all the stores in the shopping center such as Old Bridge Pizza, Happy Farm Market, Chung Sing Resturant, etc, all have a $10 minimum for credit cards, and most of the time, I dont spend $10 and they say no problem, if thats all you have then its alright. But apparently this "high-scale" bakery wouldnt even make an exception, KNOWING that I work 4 stores down. And a $2.00 cup of coffee should have been $2.14 if she actually rang it up and added tax, which means 1 thing, and Im sure you guys all know. She basically just pocketed the money for the store. Heres the kicker. I had my work shirt on, which is THE UPS STORE, a few shops down from her bakery, in the same shopping center. My name tag and the store name were right on my shirt. Unbelievable. I guess she didnt want to pay Visa the fee for only $2.00. But I ended up paying $6.75 for a cup of coffee. You obviously need the money more than me miss. This is so you all know how their customer service is. If I wanted to be rude and unprofessional, I would have just said that I have no cash to pay them, and they would have to throw out the coffee anyways, but I didnt, as that would have been unprofessional and rude. Take care, I will never go back there and tell my family this story so they will never go back there either, as I dont give them business, but my family has given them a lot of business for years. Every birthday and holiday, we always get a cake or a variety tray of cookies and such from them. Regards, Jordan

I went to La Dolce back in the spring 2013 and we were greeted nicely. I was going to a another establishment for my nieces cupcakes but they couldnt provide my order as I wanted it. I then remembered my experience with La Dolce and went there. They said they could do the cupcakes as I wanted. I went to order and reminded them what I wanted on the cupcakes. I called after I left to confirm what it was I was doing and they again said, no problem we can do that. When I went to pick up the cupcakes on Saturday 1 hour before the baby shower.....I was given cupcakes that were not to my order. All I got from the woman behind the counter was "SORRY"....sorry.....that doesnt help me now with the shower in 1 hour. No apologize, no we can try to fix (the bakers were all in the back), no discount or anything.........I was very disappointed. I love the bakery but I will never order anything for an event at La Dolce....just get the standard rolls, breads, etc....but never ever again will I order a specialized order from your establishment. If the woman behind the counter would have even tried to resolve....I would not have been so upset....but all I got was "SORRY".....amazing.

I come to this bakery time and time again around the holidays or if I am in the mood for their cheesecakes. My husband bought me a birthday cake on November 11th with chocolate and strawberry. I thought it was very good. Best Cannolis in the area too. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and Queens, NYC so this is as close to a NYC bakery as you are going to get. Their honey balls are very good too. You have to get there early around the holidays because there is a line out the door. Very good pastries. I am going to call them to see if they have pies for Thanksgiving.

Wow. I dont know what bakery the other people were talking about, bc this place was terrible. First...someone said they have donuts. The sign on the front says they have donuts. So why did they look at me like I have 2 heads when I asked for one? They dont have donuts. Lol. I went with a $2.50 cupcake that tasted like nothing. We also got a brownie...it was good. They also have a table in the middle of the place, full of exposed pizzas...very sanitary. I was super disaapointed all around. Service was terrible...got shortchanged...this place stinks. Sorry.

I needed a cake for a family party, and not knowing about any of the bakeries in the area I decided to take a chance on this one. The store itself had a nice selection of cakes, cookies, and other deserts, and all seemed fresh. I had no problem picking out a cake I wanted, and it was boxed and given to me right away. The staff wasnt friendly, and seemed kind of annoyed to be working, but want rude in any way. The cake we got turned out really good, one of the better made cakes I have had, definitely coming back to this bakery.

Walked in and asked if they had focaccia bread. The woman answered and explained that she only had the kind with the sauce. As she was clearly assisting me, an older Italian man walked in and told her what she wanted. Like is was imaginary, she just started to help him. I stood there in shock and then just walked out. The vibe I get from this visit and previous, is that if you are not Italian (which I am, just dont look it), then you are invisible...

Very good bakery. I always come here to get treats and cakes. I have never had a bad experience. They even fixed a cake that was purchased somewhere else for me at the last minute. It was very nice of them to help me out of that bind. The cake was smashed during transportation by a relative for my twins first bday and they patched it up for me at no cost on a holiday weekend. All in all it is always a good experience here.

I told them that my doctors office will be calling with the gender of our baby and would like to them to make us a gender reveal cake... we called to change the pickup date, they told us the gender of the baby over the phone. ruined the whole experience.

Their pastries used to be the best. Lately not the same- almost tasteless. Pastry cake itself taste stale creams tasteless. Rainbow cake horrible and cheesecake taste sour. Service definitely lacks a smile and cramming pastries in boxes not a fan!
