This place has the best Chinese food for miles. Period. The Chicken Almond Ding is ridiculous... and rare!!! NO ONE around makes that dish, and it is SO good. In general, the meat that they use is always excellent quality, not too fatty or grisly, which is often my complaint with inexpensive Chinese. This place is a gem. I dont understand the negative customer service reviews on here. Sure theyre brusque, but usually because theyre busy; I have never gotten bad service here. I think Americans need to be more understanding of other cultures. Also: try tipping, people. I have been coming to this place for years, and it takes a few times until they open up, but the staff here is very kind and appreciative of your business. I dont go anywhere else for Chinese.

I am very surprised to see some of the reviews below. This is the best Chinese take-out place that my husband and I have tried in a very long time. We moved to the area six months ago from Rutherford where we had a few decent Chinese restaurants. The food at Hunan Wok is so tasty you cannot stop eating until you finish it. It is hard to believe they use no MSG because it is ridiculously tasty food. Additionally people who answer the phone and greet the customers speak English well and are courteous. We tried few other places around but we keep coming back to Hunan Wok.

Its a very, very cheap Chinese restaurant. The attendant was hard to understand, spoke way too quickly, and messed up our order at first. The food was subpar at best, and absolutely burning hot.

Best chinese food in the area. Ask for the garlic sauce in place of the normal brown sauce - it is excellent.
