My friend was visiting Seaton Hall University down the street and we had never been to a White Castle before, so we gave it a try. The restaurant is in a poor area but we went inside with open minds. The front counter and drive-through window are protected by one inch thick, bullet proof plastic. There is no inside seating, most likely to discourage loitering, just open space to stand and wait for your food. To use the bathroom, you must be buzzed in by an employee from behind the counter. Your food is passed through to you via a safety chamber as if youre at a bank. I ordered the sack meal with four small cheese burgers, one small French fries, and a small diet coke which cost $6.61. The food took longer than expected, the cheese wasnt completely melted, and the fries were soggy - but you get what you pay for. The employees were friendly but the waiting area was dirty.

I give this place 4 stars, but they do need to improve on some things. Beautiful remodel. BUT. Very slow service, and the employees almost ALWAYS get your order wrong. Always have to go back inside and get it fixed. Inconvenient, especially when you are in a rush. I dealt with one manager, she was no-nonsense, and she handled it, so for that I give this place 4 stars. Good management goes a very long way. And dont get me wrong, the people that work there are not unkind, but they all look frustrated. But I havent experienced anyone there with attitude. They just need to get more organized. Food is good too.

Food is always good. This location is where I went constantly as a teenager. Central Avenue in Orange.Recently remodeled. Looks great. After all this time there are limited deals and the prices go up for such small burgers. Driveway has a railing that sticks out and crushed the side doors pretty badly on my car. Partially my fault...I did not see it but if I had and reared more to the left then I would have been in the opposite lane. I sure hope that railing is redone. Im sure I wasnt the only one!

Have not been to this unit in many years......About 60....However, I was born in East orange and we visited this unit often. There was seating and no glass partition. The burgers were either 10, or twelve cents and they were outstanding. My sister worked there and the place was very clean and the service was the best in town. The area was clean and safe. No crime, just good times...The cherry pie was to die for. Im sorry to hear things are not well, but all things change with time.

Im glad that White Castle chose to reinvest in this community. They tore down the old castle that was there for at least several generations and put up a brand-spanking-new spanking new one. Nicely laid out decent with management thats willing to listen to any issues that you might have with regards to the cleanliness or service given at this location. My wife and I and our families then eating at this establishment for well over 40 plus years and will continue to do so.

I have fond memories of this particular location. As a teenager in the late sixties. this was The" place to go on Friday and Saturday nights to find out where the parties were. It was cleaner in those days; it was safe, on trouble, the food was good...great memories. I still ove White castle hamburgers and french fries. In the winter time, their hot chocolate was great!!! The price (at that time) was awesome!!!

Its less about the food (which is standard White Castle though ketchup comes standard which Im not used to) and more about the lack of quick and competent service. The handful of times Ive been, service is slow and usually something in the order is messed up. If you go, make sure youre very explicit in your order.

They were very nice and polite. My only problem with all fast food window workers is that they never suggest a product they just say will that be all or is that it. Ive worked fast food it can be hard, but suggest some fries or a drink will not hurt.

When I saw them knocking this place down last year, I thought it was the end. Turns out it was just the beginning. The new building is awesome, and they are keeping things clean and fresh on the inside. Best part? The staff is extra friendly!

This place has gotten much to expensive. There beget is 4 bites at best and not worth the new pricing. I grew up eating White Castle but I will not be returning. They have out proceed themselves and there is no value.

Have waited 6 years to enjoy the taste of WhiteCastle, again. Roosevelt, NY being my home place but Since I live in Tampa fl, WC is not around the corner. But food was phenomenal, cust service was excellent.
