Authentic and wonderful. Every dish is distinctive and full of unique flavor. Not like any Chinese food youve ever had. Most dishes tend to be spicy. In general this place is for more adventuring eaters, so picky eaters beware. If your idea of Chinese food is sweet and sour pork and no "weird" stuff, this might not be the place for you. Decor is OK. Service is acceptable, but English is obviously second language for most of the staff. Food comes out really fast however. Once you start eating, all other concerns fall away. Personal recommendations are: chicken with three kinds of pepper, sizzling fish, crispy long beans with Chinese eggplant, (lamb/fish/anything) in hot chili oil, Chinese bacon with leeks. Everything is good, only a couple of items on on whole menu Ive ever had I didnt like.

I entered Fortune just prior to dinner service. The place was empty but I saw a bunch of people working on cutting stream beans at one of the tables. I ordered the stream bean dish, general tso, and some shrimp rice. Although my orders were from the "american Chinese" menu I was amazed to see the variety of traditional Chinese dishes - something I would like to explore. Anyway, after getting the food: It felt fresh. The rise/shrimp was made of rice/shrimp/egg/and a few spices. The wife loved the Generals chicken and those fresh stream beans are what I will go back for. This place has a lot of potential for its location and the food is great. I will go back tomorrow for some more.

This is a traditional Chinese restaurant with real Chinese food, it still servers the American Chinese food that you can get at the usual take out restaurants, but I never tried those and never will. The style is not as good as the original from China, but considering that we are half away around the world, this is the closest we have to real hunan food. If you have had real hunan food in China, then this is not spicy in comparison. The seafood is not live, everything was frozen, so the fish dishes could be a lot better. If you dont know anything real Chinese food, then that wouldnt matter to you.

This place isnt a typical strip mall Chinese restaurant. Most of the customers are Chinese, and the food is incredible and authentic. If you want spicy, try the ma po tofu, or the shredded beef with young pepper. If you dont like spicy, theres still some ha food like the hot and spicy fish (not actually spicy at all, actually sweet and crispy) or home style beancurd. Or if youre really adventurous, try the pork intestine or frog casserole, but I cant vouch for either of those. Anyway, if youre tired of strip mall Chinese, this is the place to go!

The irony of this place is that my girlfriend and I ordered two meals to go, and there were no fortune cookies provided. We would have preferred to dine out, but the ambiance was similar to a soup kitchen. The food left much to be desired as well. The sesame chicken was so hot that my tongue was dialing the fire department. My girlfriend found her chicken fried rice so unappetizing that she decided upon leftovers from the night before. My suggestion - stay away.

I rate this one of the top 10 Chinese restaurants in US among all I visited in the last 15 years. The dishes are quite authentic Chinese, rather than the americanized Chinese food found every where here in the states. This is Hunan cuisine, so majority of the dishes are spicy (mild to strong). They dont sell liquor, so customers can bring their own. The price is relatively low compared to other restaurants at this quality.

Have you ever eaten real Chinese food? Thank you! Anyway, are you kidding me? This place is truly amazing. Best Chinese food. Try something new! The food is spicy but theyll make it mild if you ask. Its all good! Best place!

If you want authentic, real deal asian food look no further. The dishes are so tasty! We got the hot and spicy crispy chicken and it was sooo good. The green beans are delicious and the chicken and broccoli is very good too. The place is PACKED with people. I heard take out isnt as good as dining in. Ask the staff for reccomendations, they have never steered us wrong.

Absolutely delicious. Ive never found such an authentic Hunan restaurant on the east coast, but this is it. Dont judge this place by its exterior or its cheesy name, I went here with my family and we agreed that it is on par with any restaurant youll go to in China.

My favorite place. Not me but all my team members. We always go to this place for team lunch. I always surprised when receiving bills because the amount is ridiculously smaller than I expected even though everyone is fed enough with tasty quality food.

Had some very unusual items on the menu, as well as ones you will recognize. But, either way, the food is not overpowered with heavy sauces, and is actually very, very good! Would highly recommend this "authentic" Chinese restaurant.

Authentic Hunan Chinese. Dont say "very spicy" unless you mean it. They have a small selection of American-style Chinese food, but the Hunan-style dishes are very good and worth trying. The spicy beef tendon was great.

정통 중국 음식을 맛볼 수 있으며 현지의 맛과 비슷해 중국인이 많이 찾는다. 주차장도 넓다.

I went there on chinese new years, was a mad house but still tasty, though our eyes were bigger than our stomaches. We order like enough for 3 families and I got a super spicy fish in a bowl

The ability of the kitchen does not match the number of tables, if you come here on weekends, you could wait for more than an hour after ordering. Always lack of servers.

Its important to have in mind that their dishes are not like the popular style of Chinese food everybody knows. This place is not for everyone.

Besr Schezuan food in the NJ. One place where you can feel free to experiment. Every dish turns out as good as you wanted it to be.
