Horrible. Waitress didnt even say her name when she came up to the table. Her attitude was extremely lackadaisical the entire time. She was more interested in socializing with the people watching football at the bar then her two tables. Clam chowder was awful. Ordered clam and chorizo special appetizer. It was decent. Asked a food runner to bring the table bread to dunk in the sauce. He responded, "sure, everyone wants bread for that sauce!" Yet we never actually got the bread. Asked for a glass of ice multiple times. Had a view of 3 hostesses staring at their cellphones the entire time we were at dinner. One of them was "acting manager" for the night who was "overseeing" the restaurant. Someone who is overseeing the restaurant should have gone up to each table and asked how peoples meals were and if they needed anything. She was more focused on her cellphone than anything else. Truly unprofessional. The food was alright, then again its not too hard to make a burger and some fried fish. The night ended with our waitress spilling a beer on my daughters boyfriend. She barely apologized and sent a food runner to the table with napkins instead of bringing them herself. I would only recommend going to this restaurant if you plan on getting so drunk you dont care about the loud bar atmosphere or subpar quality food. A great view with not much of anything else to offer. Spend your money elsewhere.

Casual dining and bar with great relaxing views of Barnegat Bay. Located at the end of Bay Blvd in the Holly Park Section of Bayville. The menu features sandwiches, salad and entrees. On recent visits I have enjoyed the steak sandwich and fish n chips. Service is prompt and friendly. The open space is pleasant. The Cove features live entertainment on a pretty regular basis, so if youre looking for a quiet spot, check ahead to see if they have live entertainment, as the sound will be rather loud in the dining area. In the summer, a nice outdoor patio is offered, and you can dock your boat too. Ample parking, a sushi bar and an area with pool tables complete the offering. Closed for many years, the site of formerly home to Windows On the Bay, PJs and the original Holly Park Inn. The Cove is quite similar to PJs and the Holly Park Inn, whereas Windows On the Bay was upscale dining. The structure itself was pretty rebuilt from the foundation up in the mid 1980s.

I really want to love The Cove. I love the atmosphere, location, and the food is yummy. Its cheaper then the other bay front restaurant around the corner and the food is better. If the restaurant isnt too busy Ive had great service but once it gets very busy it isnt managed well. Ive been there several times and have seen this first hand. The kitchen will be behind, the service will be slow, and everyone seems frantic, items have come out wrong or cold. I would still recommend it though. I think theyll get better at dealing with busy times. I love the drunken clams and the California chicken club while sitting outside by the bay! Yummmmmy!

Went a couple times , the outside drinks are very well made. The drinks from inside that came with dinner were horrible. Piña Coladas tasted like shaved ice and no cream sent back and same thing. The steamed veggies were very hard to bite into. The scenery is beautiful would go again to drink outside when no bands are playing for the band wasnt that good and way to loud for the space couldnt have no dinner conversation with our guest :(

1) You can go to the bathroom without a support group. 2) You can kill your own food. 3) If you are 34 and single, nobody notices. 4) You can quietly watch a game with your buddy for hours without ever thinking: He must be mad at me. 5) You can mooch off other peoples desserts. 6) If another guy shows up at the party in the same outfit, you just might become lifelong friends. 7) At least a few belches are expected and tolerated.

I honestly loved the cove the first time I went, but the second time wasnt as pleasant. The food was great except for the pickle and fries. The fries where cold and the pickle was starting to somewhat rotten and the clams werent cooked correctly, actually they were raw instead of steamed, of course the waiters fixed that. In the end I had a great lunch with my father. So this restraint is amazing with a few flaws!

Appetizers (tuna bites and fried calamari) were well executed and we all enjoyed our main courses. The New England clam chowder was a disappointment as we could only taste bacon. We did not get a warm reception from our waitress and she brought the check out without even asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. The food runners were kind and courteous, but overall the service was underwhelming.

Food is good. Service is a little slow. Recently, we were sitting outside and I had to go inside to find out if we were getting a waitress after sitting for about 10-15 minutes. I think they should have designated staff for the outside especially on nice days in the summer, instead of their staff having to run back and forth from inside to outside.

I rated 1 star only because that was the only what I was able to write a review. New England Clam chowder was awful! I ordered a seafood special which was tasteless & over priced!! What was good was the miller lite & blue margarita. Also it took forever for our food to come out! Overall I will not be going back & thought it was gross.

Get atmosphere, great view, good parking, plenty of slips, long beach run for my Blk Lab, good prices, good music, out side stage and bar, shushi bar inside, grill out side, hoarse shoes, corn hole, pool tables, dart board, basketball, upstairs Hall etc.etc.etc. On the bay in a calm cove. Decorated like the Carribean

This place is so gross that even the veggie burger was greasy. Between that and the greasy french fries I got physically sick after eating here. The place looks nice. Its a sports bar type of place. The service was okay. But the food is incredibly horrible. I will never set foot back in this place again

Love this can walk from my home. Food is typical bar stuff, yet some great dinners too. Fair priced drinks and beer. Weekends are a mob with outdoor music and seating. Great Bay view and boat space. Locals love it and the bartenders and wait staff are great.

Ahhh, as close as it gets to being somewhere tropical on the Jersey shore. Great beachfront setting, outstanding seafood, live music on the deck, cool drinks, wonderful service from Rachael, palm trees and watching two Ospreys nesting nearby

The cove is a hidden local gem in Bayville. I was so excited to find it. The Seafood Fra Diavolo is my favorite dish. The lighting and ambiance could be better but overall its a nice place to get a quick dinner with bay views.

Went here for dinner. The dinner was good, the food was good. Sat at the bar after dinner for a few drinks. The bartender spent a lot of time On his phone. I thought that a bit inappropriate. Otherwise a good experience!
