I will never be coming here again. I went for a dinner with a few friends and had an excellent time. My food was cooked perfectly and the waitress was extremely attentive. We paid our bill and left a generous tip for the great service. As we were passing the host booth at the front I overhears who I assume is a manager/supervisor talking to our waitress. She was rushing to get menus ready for another group as the manager told her "Are you on the clock? You better seat these people instead of standing there". The way he said it was extremely demeaning and unprofessional. I immediately looked around to see if anyone else heard. No one spoke up so I let him know that I consider that uncalled for and wont be returning which he replied was fine with him. No one should be exposed to treatment like that while working, especially when they were working as hard and efficiently as she was. If he wants her to do something differently there is an appropriate way to speak to people. I refuse to support a business that treats employees like that. I hope she finds a job where she is appreciated, she deserves better.

Tired place. Employees look grumpy, apathetic and sometimes dont show up to get you seated. One time the hostess was in the back chatting away so my group decided to just seat ourselves. We waited at least 5 minutes to get somebody over. The waitress then brusquely told us that we needed to wait for the hostess to seat us in the future. Guess what,Im not going to walk across the restaurant to get a chatty hostesss attention! I ordered a hamburger which was just average. It was probably cooked without much care. The place needs an attitude change. Being open 24/7 might just be too much. One time I heard the cashier even comment that I did not tip as I was walking out the door. She probably thought I would not hear her but hey Im not going to tip if I am not satisfied with the service, especially if Im the only one being served!

For anyone who hasnt been to the Broadway Diner, whether you live in Bayonne or out of it, youre missing out on something. I typically come down to Bayonne on a Tuesday evening to enjoy a few games of bowling with a couple of friends, but before that, we feast here. And let me tell you, the food is stellar. The chefs in the Broadway Diner are good at their job and ensure you the tastiest meals you can ever stomach, and with so much variety. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming, which tends to make it an ideal spot for families to enjoy a meal together. The service is fairly good and would be a little better if the higher ups picked up some of the slack, and the waiters/waitresses are generally pretty friendly and do their best to provide you with quality service. If youre ever in the area, give it a shot.

Ive been going to Broadway diner for many years. But never in my life did I experience what I experienced tonight. I came with a friend, and we had ordered our beverages and a plate. Granted, we sat in for over 3 hours, chatting and eating, not talking loud or being disruptive. Suddenly the waiter told us to move to a smaller booth because "it was getting busy." When we look up, they sat two other people! Meanwhile, not all the tables were filled in the entire restaurant! Second, our receipt was taken from us and we were charged $3.00 extra! When I confronted the manager, he said we sat for too long and we were getting charged "additional convenience service." Yet no one ever told us that we had a limited seating time! I wont be coming here for some time.

Terrible food. Cheap, but not that cheap.. (like paying for a Groupon of teeth whitening that doesnt work) would rather pay more for quality. The brownstone kills this place. This is by far one of the worst diners Ive been to in North Jersey and Ive been to many. Crappy selection, food tastes like its either freezer grade or the cheapest quality they can find. Needs new owners definitely.. dont even have option for baked sweet potato, didnt have mashed either anymore last night supposedly. Also, asked for BBQ sauce, and they gave me this weird sweet sauce that tasted like prison-grade sweet and sour sauce. Terrible. Just solidifies the shittyness of the glorious bayonne. Typical for Bayonne though.

Arrived at 0430, seated right away, not too busy. No one came to our table for nearly 10 min. Waitress was much more attentive to the (obvious) locals than to us. I ordered the "World Famous Pancakes". Not so much; they were over cooked and dry. I make better pancakes! Husband got the Philly cheese steak sub. He said it was okay, nothing to write home about; the meat was a little dry and not very seasoned. Coffee, however, was fresh and good.

Had a horrible experience here tonight 07/07/17 Ive been going here for years & ALWAYS hand the waiter a tip. Tonight the manager had the audacity to pull my father aside and say we should tip the waiter. I will NEVER go back here that is so RUDE to accuse us of not tipping when we do EVERYTIME! Hope hes proud of himself for loosing a regular customer.

Horrible. Horrible customer service. Horrible waitresses. Dirty run down and old. Have no clue its 2015. Who ever remodeled it, was color blind. Food is gross. If your constipated, eat here. Their other Diner has become just as bad. Management sucks could care less, yells at staff in front of customers etc.. No professional training at all.

I just wanna know something about the chandelier and every person that take the phone pass and pass the line and finally a woman talk me hold on and she take off the phone. I cant believe if in this country every latin person had an "obligation" to learn English why you can speak a little Spanish... Thats terrible...

What ever you do DoNot order the Broadway Spinach Pie. Ive had them before so i know how one should taste like their cheese had a rancid smell and the pastry was soggy. I told the manager and hostess she said thats how it is. Dont go here for greeks/Mediterraneans food renditions. Strictly diner food to be safe.

Run of the mill diner. Came on a Saturday night and service looked tired, it was almost midnight when we were done so I can understand. Service did not check on us one time. I had the pancakes and they were tough and tasteless. I wont be coming back. Best thing about this place is its local and open 24 hours.

Food is delicious and prices are reasonable. The diner is always crowded, that goes to show you that the food is the real deal. At any given lunch time you will see groups of State Troopers, fresh from the Turnpike, enjoying their lunch with the common Bayonne people. Good food at a fair price.

Was in town from new Orleans...its near where I was staying. It was Sunday midday. the place was packed....but I found it quaint, friendly, classic atmosphere and a good helping of food at a good value. Good cole slaw! I enjoyed it and will go back anytime Im here

Been there many times as its in my neighborhood. Clean, bright, cheerful, decent food, good portions, friendly staff and waitresses. Good salads and soup. Sometimes service is faster than others depending type of food ordered and whether its busy or slow.
