This review is a little different.. I am a new employee at Onions, about two weeks. I wanted to write this review to share a little something about the kind of people that make up the staff at Onions. They are without a doubt some of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. On my drive in for my shift this morning I starting feeling horrid, shaking and itchy. I was experiencing an allergic reaction from a lotion I used at home this morning. When I arrived, showed and told them they did not waste a minute getting me into the office, having me sit down, ask about my breathing, vision and head. Basically took care of me as any friend would do for another. But, it does not end there! Not only did they offer to drive me and wait with me at the emergency room, which they insisted I go to, they called to make sure I made it there safely. I made the choice to drive myself because it was close. Then, after about two hours someone from the team showed up just to check on me. Knowing that I work an hour from home and probably was feeling a bit alone she wanted to just pop in and make sure I was okay. When I called to let them know I was home safe from the emergency room she asked how I was doing and hoped I had a restful night. This folks is what makes a staff a TEAM. These are the kind of things people dont often hear about on review boards and I just wanted everyone to know that aside from good food and service, the people at Onions are one genuine team and I am proud and thankful to be a part it!

Stopped by Tilton just before dark for a bite to eat while heading north. We ate on the porch and watched the town activities in the nice evening air. Food was good and the staff was extremely polite. Found out we were right across the street from an arch built in the 1800s by one of the Tiltons so we went over to have a look just before resuming our trip towards mount washington. If you go during the day there are some nice picnic tables up by the monument in a beautifully manacured grass field. Get some take out and go enjoy. The Onion pub and restaurant has a pub side and sit down restaurant. You can eat in ether side. If you are traveling with a group they had a small banquet area in the back you could likely make arrangements to use for an event.

My fiance and I love Onions, its our favorite restaurant. We eat there at least once a week. The regular menu is great, the daily specials are creative and all the food is delicious. The staff and owners are friendly and courteous. Weve been going there since we moved to the Tilton area, 5 years ago, weve always had good food, good service and a good experience. I highly recommend Onions.

Wonderful food and staff. Yes, the decor is a bit dated. The owners have had restaurants in Bermuda and have relocated here, hence Onions, the nickname for native Bermudans. They have hornet food, wonderful specials and great pub food ( i.e. Bangers and Mash) and the best burger in NH. If you ask for their wedge fries well done, its like eating potato skins.

Consistently high quality food well prepared. Portions are substantial. Nice assortment of craft beers. Staff is professional, courteous, and friendly. They have done an incredible job of catering to a special needs diet as well. The owner sat and talked with my wife about exactly what she needed and then had it done.

My favorite place in town. Menu ranges from basic pub fare to quite refined, and all of it is excellent. Good beers on tap if you want them, but they dont overcharge for domestics. Wonderful staff, and set in a beautifully restored historic building. Well worth the short drive from 93 if you are passing through.

Wonderful gourmet mean in an unexpected location. We had a great conversation with the owner of the restaurant and attached Inn. He and his wife are transplants from Bermuda, thus the name "Onions" , and he is very civically minded regarding the development and beautification of downtown Tilton.

Had a nice decorative touch. Real glass glasses, real flowers on tables, hand folded napkins, old house feel, real paintings on wall. Prices were average to moderate depending on what you got. Friendly relaxed staff that were informal but professional. We will return again.

Awesome little pub with a decent section of craft beer and a robust food menu. I had the wasabi crusted tuna and was inspired by the dish. Im going to figure out how to make something similar in the very near future.

A bit disappointing with the decor and location. I expected higher quality food. The fish fry was recommended, and quite good. Beer selection was lacking, and no really good options without a lot of hops.
