I have been there twice now and the food was great without a doubt, but the service was lacking both times. In my review I experienced the same kind of customer service, so my comments are regarding both experiences There was no host to greet us and it looked like only a waitress was seating people. It took forever to get any drinks after being seated and the bread was in the over both times, but came out to us lukewarm. It didnt seem like fresh bread. The service was slow. Being in the service industry for 17 years, it seems to me that the owners cut corners in how many employees they had working or the waitresses just couldnt handle to amount of customers. I work hard for my money and want both good food and great customer service. The waitress was friendly but did not have proper etiquette for as beautiful as the food and place is. She propped herself up on the back of my chair by holding on to it when she talked to us. I felt as if my personal space was bring invaded by being too close and not being able to see her without turning my head and leaning away from her. I would expect that at a Dennies restaurant. They served us one plate of oil and vinaiger without pepper and a lemon. I requested a separate plate so I could double dip. That took 15 minutes to get and when the waitress came by and noticed we didnt have it, she said she told the bus boy or stewart to bring it. Food was lukewarm as well but not cold. I believe it sat in the window to long. The service needs an upgrade and this place would be perfect. 3 stars because of the service.

We walked into Mezzo Bistro and Wine just after they opened at 11:00 AM on a Wednesday. The environment is nice with standard Las Vegas Italian music playing (at a reasonable level), wooden chairs, tablecloths, napkins (paper), and silverware. In short, a good sit-down restaurant atmosphere. Our waiter, Armando, was attentive and good. The menu has quite a selection of dinner items, but we ordered from the lunch menu (which had a nice selection at decent prices, too). I had a bowl of Italian Wedding soup (which was very good) and a pepperoni pizza (I was planning on taking half of it home, but it was so good I only had a quarter of it left at the end). My wife had the Chicken Cleopatra. Thats the one negative of the experience: the CCs chicken was overcooked. However, we mentioned it to the waiter and he had the kitchen prepare a new order of chicken for the Cleopatra and brought it out in only a few minutes. After that, it was excellent. Even better, they didnt charge us for the CC. Overall, an excellent experience. Ill also note well probably be visiting the place a lot more just to get that pizza (for those times when we dont want a full-fledged meal).

Had dinner on a Saturday night. Arrived with no reservations and were able to be seated in a timely manner. Waitress was very helpful with the nightly specials and was very attentive. Ordered appetizers, entree, and drinks. In the course of our meal we met Sean, one of the founders. He was very interested in our experience and was concerned with the quality of the food and the restaurant and that we were enjoying our meal. Food was excellent. I had the steak and it was done to my perfection and was an extremely good cut of meat. My wife had the steak salad and for her it had the perfect amount of steak for her. Her only nit was that it had a bit to much dressing for her, of which she would have it on the side next time. It didnt detract from the dining experience in any way. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and inviting. Upon entry you are greeted with the wonderful smell of what can only be a wood fired pizza oven....very tasty smell. Great spot for a date or just a fine dinner out that is very reasonable.

It is a utterly amazing, this restaurant and I wont call them Italian has been given 4.2 stars by the public. Maybe most of you have been eating bad food for so long that you dont know what its like to have decent food ,forget about really good food, First off I come from an Italian family the most important part of Italian food is the sauce, what they serve there is pizza sauce., theres is more of a salty tomato water. forgive me if I seem a little harsh, I am just disappointed and that disappointment goes both ways the consumers for rating this at 4.2 stars ??? and the restaurant for the bad (Italian food ) I am not an unreasonable person nor are my goals too lofty I enjoy good food of any sort from the highest caliber down to street food, price is not the issue, even though they charged me three dollars for a side of sauce 8( ...they are also 25% higher than they should be, at the price of decent Italian which they are not .if you want good Italian food at a reasonable price try Noras, trust me I promise you wont go wrong.

Always had a great experience here but we were there recently with my family, 12 people, and the experience was not so good. Most of the dishes were good but one salad was missing a couple of items that made the salad different and when we told the waiter he brought over one of the missing items but the salad was already eaten. Then there was two of the same entrees that were not good. One of the owners came over and apologized but did not offer to substitute a different dish nor did he offer to adjust the bill. Instead he gave us a couple of cards to get wine on our next visit. I dont think that is how you keep customers. I would have been satisfied with an offer of anything at the time not on the next visit. Also, they said they would extend the Happy Hour until 7 instead of 6 but when they found out we were using the special 20% discount for veterans they recanted on it. My family and I are very disappointed because we really liked this place and now we wont be able to come back here.

I"ve been going to Mezzo for a few years with a business associate for lunch. Always enjoyed lunch there but Ive been the for dinner about a dozen times in the past year. We dont have enough really good neighborhood restaurants in the NW but Mezzo definitely fills that bill. I took my wife there for Valentines day and we had a great time. The managers, Shawn & Kelly are very friendly and have made superb wine recommendations. The wait staff and bartenders are friendly and have phenomenal memories when it comes to remembering our favorites from previous visits. The intimate dining room means we always make new friends when we eat at Mezzo. If youve not been, or not been for a while, give it a go, I cant imagine youd be disappointed.

Loved the atmosphere and the service was okay but the food was so bad. It started off with some of the worst coffee Ive ever had. We wondered if it was two or three days old. The salad came out dressed despite the fact we asked to have dressing on the side. The veal was like shoe leather. My father couldnt even eat it. Another member of the party had what could only be described as dry chicken soup. My dish had homemade pasta that was undercooked...not al dente... and the sauce was way too salty. Even the bread they bring out at the beginning of the meal was tired and tasteless. A great disappointment for top dollar. They ought to rethink their game and if youre planning on dining there I would rethink that plan.
