Firstly, I want to say the remodel looks great; the appearance is very inviting and warm. My family of five was promptly greeted and stationed in a corner of the restaurant. The staff at this juncture was very friendly and courteous - all great wonderful points scored in my book. Unfortunately from here, I was less than impressed to say the least. I ordered a black coffee and was given it promptly. It was not until our food was served however, that I would recieve my next one. They seemed to not check on our table as often for one and for another they did not care to top off or otherwise keep my coffee in ready supply. The food that arrived was 3/4 of our order in two ways; firstly we ordered the pigs in a blanket (times two) which should come with two sausage links each wrapped in their own pancake. Instead they received one each and were told they would cook the remainder of their order and that the error was already made known. In addition to that, my youngest sons order, a waffle dish, was not even ready so he got to sit and stare at the food his brothers got - but they didnt start eating without him at least... they couldnt. There were no utensils on the table. It is a comedy of errors inside the Black Bear Diner, a series of small events which in their own - on their own singly, would not have been a big deal. All together it is a pretty lame experience and well below the standard of expectations in what is allegedly the entertainment capital of the world.

Diner Heaven. We go to this place a lot. Being from and around the NJ / NY area we have more diners than gas stations. Get to know the best. Well, for Las Vegas this is the best. Nothing is bad at this place, I have never had any problems of any kind except to much food on my plate. We always wind up taking something home as a snack or a lunch. Atmosphere: Hey, youre in a diner!! The place is well decorated with many items to keep you from getting board. I love all the bears around. My Wife looks at them all and takes pictures of them inside and outside even though we have come here for years. Breakfast is plentiful, hot, and tasty. The Coffee is hot and flavorful. Lunch provides something for everyone no matter if you enjoy salads, sandwiches, or hot meals at lunch. the dinners will make you smile and think of old home cooking. Pot Roast, Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, and Roast Turkey are what I target in to. The Waite Staff here is quick, friendly, will recommend menu items that are special favorites here. the Kitchen Staff are, quick, clean, and very professional. This is "Locals" heaven. I ate there about two weeks ago. Ordered the fried chicken. When it was served it was charred and hard as a rock. The gravy was sour. I asked the server if I could get a different order of chicken and when it came it was no better. As I was trying to find a suitable bite off the hard as a rock charred chicken, I heard another server who I found out later was the Supervisor warning other customers to stay away from the chicken. I wish I had that warning. Anyway, I was offered free desert to take home due to the poor quality of the food by the Supervisor when originally the server told me it would be removed from my bill. I did not eat it, and I did not eat the sides either. In fairness I did eat the soup that came before the meal and picked at the corn muffin. So basically I paid almost twenty dollars for a desert that I did not want and some soup. I emailed the corporate office about this and to date not a response. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had topped off with terrible customer service.

This location only, I will never return. Ive enjoyed Black Bear in other areas. The past few weeks Ive come here for lunch or dinner, maybe 5 times. Yesterday was the worst ever. I will not go back. I believe that management does not care at this location. The food is bland, veggies overcooked all day apparently, and the guy who waited on me was a total waste. I told him while ordering I would like mustard with my sandwich, to save him from making a second trip. It didnt matter I would find out, he had no intention of making a 2nd trip. I went an hunted some down after waiting for him to bring it for 10 minutes. Then, he brought the bill when I was half done and he said he would refill my water and ice tea. Nope! He arrived as I was getting up to go pay, he showed up with an Ice Tea and asked if I wanted a shot for the road. NO, I would have enjoyed it with the meal, THANKS! Arse! Nope, will not spend another dime in this dive.

Horrible experience. Both me and my pregnant wifes steaks came out still mooing. We politely asked them to cook them to med rare as requested. Came out 10 min later with no change. They took them back again, only for the waitress to announce she couldnt find the cook anywhere. Mine came out pink like it was supposed to 10 min later, wifeys was well done. Hers went back and came out 15 min later just right. I tasted my med rare steak and found it to be the driest steak I have ever had. The char on the outside made it crunchy. They gave us 2 desserts for our trouble, but then ended up hitting me in the head with a plate. Then they had the audacity to still charge full price minus the two desserts. Im pretty sure I would have been happier eating the $50 I spent than having gone to this restaurant.

Worst place ever! Ordered a well done steak wasnt to my liking at all I was waiting for a drink even after i asked the waiter twice for a drink i didnt get it at all when my wife order the grilled chicken and a salad the chiken that was separate from the salad came out cold for some reason when I called the manager and said the meal was not to my liking I offered to pay for what we have ordered wich was my salad that came out first and my first one and only drink she said "I dont see anything wrong with the steak" as if shes trying to convince me that Im wrong lol like i said I will pay for the meal and leave truely the service was bad and the food was bad or maybe it was just badley prepared in my opinion this restaurant deserves no stars

So my family and I decided to take a get away trip to Vegas wanted some breakfast and decided to stick with black bear diner which we have where we live. The minute we walked in we were greeted by the staff immediately seated order was on point and the food was delicious and quickly served. I would like to thank our server , Flower for the best customer service Ive ever experienced including the rest of the team and a shout out to Don the manager for being polite attentive and friendly. Best service ever! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Lunch breakfast and dinner served all day and believe me you get your moneys worth. Thanks again to Don and his team you guys are the best keep up the good work!!! - Juan
