I tried Bliss for the first time a few months ago, DELIGHTFUL! During my first visit, I ordered the Chai Spice cupcake, it was so good! I stopped by the following week and tried the Peanut Butter & Chocolate cupcake... it was 10 times better than a Reese’s and quite decadent. A month ago, I purchased a half dozen as dessert for dinner we were hosting with friends. We split all of the cupcakes into quarters and had a ‘cupcake tasting’. It was a great way to try an assortment without getting stuck with a flavor you don’t prefer. For that evening, I picked up the Ginger Peach, Lemon, Peanut Butter & Chocolate, White Cake with Strawberry frosting, Spiced Chai, and the German Chocolate combo. The consensus was that the Ginger Peach, Lemon and Peanut Butter & Chocolate were the top 3. The strawberry frosting on the white cupcake was phenomenal, but the white cake was a little more dry when compared to the other cupcakes. I personally enjoyed the Peanut Butter & Chocolate, Lemon and Chai the most. I also feel compelled to clarify that I really enjoyed their buttercream frosting. I have a HUGE sweet tooth, but can’t stand the buttercream frosting on most cakes and cupcakes. Bliss’ buttercream is smooth and lacks the sharp/harsh sweetness that generally assaults my mouth when I consume frosted goods from other bakeries and stores. The customer service is exceptional, the marketing is as cute as can be and the cupcakes are delightful. As was evidenced by our tasting experience, we all have unique preferences. I suggest that everyone try at least a few cupcakes before casting judgment. Bliss makes such a wonderful variety, there is surely something there for everyone!

I happen to be one of those people who live nearby, so I unfortunately frequent Bliss Bakery way more often than I should... but the main reason I go is for the delicious cupcakes. On a normal week, I probably go three times a week and get at least 2 cupcakes each time - I always get the vanilla with butter creme and then I try something else each time. Not to discount the other person reviewing, but I was shocked to read she thought they were dry -- dry would never even enter my stream of thought when describing these cupcakes. They are so moist and the frosting is so decadent, I might walk down and get one now that my mouth is watering. So, if you want to try something new, check out the cake balls and while youre in there get a cinnamon bun as well - now THOSE are DE-LISH. She always has a new kind of cupcake every day and Ive been in there at night after shes closed when she takes anything unsold to put in a box to donate. I know for certain she only puts fresh cupcakes out daily. I am not related to the owner and I had never met her before going in to the bakery, so I hope my review renews your curiosity and piques your interest enough to check out the deliciously moist baked goods at Bliss. Oh, and I picked up a dozen cupcakes for a baby shower - 6 white/butter creme and 6 red velvet. The ladies couldnt believe how good they were and were gone as soon as I put them out - so there you go. More happy people. :)

We tried Bliss for the first time for my husbands birthday. For one, I came in on a Saturday asking for the cake to be ready by the following Friday at noon. I walked in and the person behind the counter went running in the back. I tried making eye contact with the 7 or so people in the back and no one would look at me. Maybe its because Im not a hipster-wannabe like most of the people around there, I digress Finally, a young lady came up and was like "oh, its almost ready"...It was 12:15 at the time and I had a schedule to keep. I waited and waited...watched as the cake decorator working on the decorations, dripping frosting down the side of the cake. The cake was 30 minutes late and NO apology and they tried to make me pay for it again! Then again, how would they have known? They didnt have anything on the cake identifying it as mine, anyone could have gone in and picked it up. The chocolate cake was more like a brownie...WAY too dense!! The frosting, which was supposed to be "ridiculous" according to the guy who sold it us tasted like caramel-flavored Crisco! We had also tried a couple of cupcakes and the frosting on those resembled Crisco as well. Yuck! The website promises "better than homemade" and I can tell you, I make better cake and frosting than this joint does. The customer service was terrible as well. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! What a ripoff

My husband & I went to the Omaha Farmers Market and I was very much looking forward to getting cupcakes from Bliss Bakery. After reading her review in the Omaha World Herald I was excited. The customer service was 10 of 10. The owner, a young girl, was VERY pleasant and VERY customer focused and VERY helpful. I purchased 2 scones that also ranked 10 of 10. We ate those immediately. I purchased 6 different cupcakes, to go, so I could sample many of her "offering". At lunch, that day, we had two of the cupcakes, Both were SO DRY that they crumbled in the mouth like a saltine cracker. I was SO DISAPPOINTED. And so for the last four cupcakes. The same thing. It was as she had kept the cupcakes out all week and tried to get rid of them on Saturday as leftovers. Paying $2/per cupcake, I would think these cupcakes should be so fresh and moist that they would melt in your mouth. It was like a kid on Xmas, expecting a bike and getting socks instead. As far as Im concerned, it was a waste of $12+. But, the owner, again, was very pleasant......but the cupcakes ranked 1 of 10, for me.

I have been looking around at other reviews of this place and I have no idea why anyone who would give this bakery more than one star, unless the reviews are being written by the owner/friends of the owner. This bakery is terrible! The location, customer service, and the general look of the place are nice but the actual products are terrible! Actually, terrible is an understatement, I brought home cupcakes from Bliss last week and my one year old son who often eats dog food refused to eat a vanilla cupcake from Bliss! I was planning on bringing them to work, but had to throw them in the trash because I couldnt subject people I know to the torture. It is amazing this place is still in business. The cake was so dry I had to chug milk to swallow, the icing had no flavor, and the texture of the cake reminded me of Jiffy boxed cake mix, but with no flavor!! Save yourself the disappointment of eating at this place!

Aromas coffee is by far one of the best places to have a friendly chat or do homework, the latter is my routine. I try to study a minimum of 35 hours a week on finance and the CFA. Aromas never lets me down. The employees are always welcoming (usually the owner behind the bar actually) and the bakery is a nice touch - open for only select hours now, I believe. But the music isnt booming, the coffee variety is large, and the lounge hits the spot. You have large tables to study, sofas to relax and chat on, and a patio to enjoy fresh air. I try to drive to Aromas once a week and set up my books for about 5-7 hours, the drive is all the way from 156th and Q to around 13th and Jackson, so its not ideal but definitely worth it. I just hope it doesnt become overrun like starbucks on 120 and center!
