After having Christmas Eve brunch with friends at Bar Louie, I have to up my rating to five stars, There wasnt a single dish I didnt enjoy. Not to mention the $15 bottomless mimosas. No brunch is complete without mimosas. Ill start with the simplest of the dishes which was the breakfast nachos. I really enjoyed the salsa with the chorizo and eggs. The jalapenos were perfectly spicy with a nice crunch. The Hangover Helper was the best of the dishes. Its queso sauce stole the show with bacon and egg yolk running throughout the tots. The PB & J pancakes were the biggest shock for me. I wasnt sure what to expect from them but man they were good. Nice and fluffy with a lite peanut butter and blackberry flavor. The edges were also crispy and buttery. Last up, the bacon and egg sandwich was one of the best Ive had from a restaurant. I dont think theres too many ways you can mess a bacon and egg sandwich up or I hope not at least. The Swiss and yolk on the sandwich was great. The bread was nicely buttered also. My friends girlfriend decided to order Bar Louies oversized slice of chocolate cake for dessert and is described as just that in their menu. Three guys and one lady...one kind of men would we be if we left her to take down that cake alone? LOL...nevertheless, we all grabbed spoons and helped her with the battle. Great stuff. Ive come for Happy appetizers and now brunch. If the brunch is any indication, the dinner will be great so crossing my fingers for that. Try the brunch items, theyre awesome!

A bit pricy on drinks and appetizers. Presentation of two of the apps I had were a bit "over the top", particularly the Bruschetta. It is displayed in an oversized Martini glass which draws unwanted attention to a subpar appetizer. Bruschetta is not difficult to make "if" made the right or the correct way and the ingredients themselves will speak "simply and loudly" enough rather than having it displayed it in oversized Martini glass. The diced tomatoes seemed to have been tossed with an Italian dressing which sat on a bed of shredded lettuce and then the crostinis were placed within the glass. So, you have to dig out the tomatoes and spoon them on your crostini to enjoy them. I know it sounds petty but this is not how Bruschetta is served. The Calamari is good. They do use real Squid as opposed to those "processed rings" that I have seen elsewhere. This too was displayed in some kind of cone shaped vessel with a little place on the side to put the ramekin of cocktail sauce. Im sorry to say that the cocktail sauce tasted a bit sour a sif it were going bad. So, I got some other sauce ( Thai chili ) that seemed to go well with it. Im not trying to write a "bad review". I just think Bar Louie could do better to "up their game" and drop their prices a bit because at those prices for what you are serving is certain not worthy for me to return.

A friend and I came here on a Tuesday night around 8pm and sat at the bar to celebrate a late Christmas. There were three bartenders that we could see, and it took more than 10 minutes for them to approach us. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and once the drinks and appetizer were delivered we did not see anyone until about 20 minutes after we had finished our appetizer and our drinks were empty. Finally one of the bartenders (not our original bartender) asked if we needed more drinks. We ordered more drinks and also our entrees finally. Twenty minutes after we ordered our entrees a girl came up to me and said "oh, we dont have enough mac and cheese for your entree" and she was giggling... she said "I told this other girl who tried to order it a while ago and I just couldnt figure out who else I needed to tell." So I finally ordered something else and it came 10 minutes later and my friends food was cold because it had to wait for them to make my new entree order. Overall it was a horrible experience for a late night bar that wasnt busy. I usually like coming here (except that there is no hostess sometimes when its really crowded so you have to stalk tables until they leave), but this was my friends first time and lets just say this experience will not convince her to visit this establishment again.

I have never had a worse dining experience. Four of us arrived at 4:30 to have drinks, apps & dinner before a concert at Family Arena at 7:00. At 4:45 we ordered 4 dinners and two appetizers. At 5:30 we asked the hostess (since she seated us) if she would check on our order and if we could get a round of drinks. Waitress was no where to be found. We were never even offered water. She brought our drinks and said our food should be out soon. At 5:45 our chips & dip and a cheese quesadilla arrived. A one hour wait for that? We again explained we had a concert to go to and were running out of time. Server (again) said it should be out soon. A half hour later at 6:15, we told her we had to leave and she said she would bring our tab. She had the nerve to come back with the tabs and tell us she didnt charge us for the food. She wasnt talking about the appetizers, she was talking about our dinners that never arrived. I asked to speak to a manager because we refused to pay our bill, but apparently a manager wasnt available to speak to us. The waitress did say they would comp our bill. That was a little too late. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. To spend almost 2 hours there and have to go to Family Arena and buy a hot dog for dinner ( WOW ) A night I will never forget.

I gave it 1 star because I cant give it 0! After being seated waited 15 minutes before a server came to our table and took our drink orders. 30 minutes later we saw our server again who still did not have our drinks and would not take our food order. She advised us that there is a party here and we should just leave to have lunch somewhere else. Thanks for not even taking our food order! I was really excited about the nice patio but it is un exceptable to allow a business to operate like this, the manager seemed concerned but he did not even try to mitigate the issue when we advised him! Thanks for the heart felt apology... you seem to care about customers or potential customers as much as your manager did. After speaking with the manager at the time of our terrible service he did not seem the least bit concerned nor did he even attempt to mitigate the issue with the server.

Terrible service today, We were in @ 2pm. Melissa was supposed to be our server however after she delivered our drinks and took our order we did not see her for around 30 minutes. I had to go to the bar to refill our waters and never had anyone come back for our wine. We were served a cold flatbread pizza and Luke warm tough brisket sliders. We get these all the time and are normally amazing. I will say the burger and chicken sandwich were fine. The manager delivered our food and didnt even coment on our empty glasses. I see the yelp reviews and have to agree, Even that manager doesnt know guest service. You have to look at everything on the guest level. Spook sooo disappointed we took our father here today. P.S. they did comp $30 however we never received a visit or apology from management. Which I feel home office should address
