Found a long hair in my food - never going back. How about hair nets or hats, Vaskens??? I have been a long-time customer of Vaskens, but never again. On June 2nd I went to the south National location and bought a tray of hummus from the deli case as a carry-out item. The bottom of the container had a date of 6-4, just for Vaskens info. Upon opening the container, the first bite of hummus yielded a very long 8- inch strand light colored blonde or light brown hair embeddedd in the hummus. I have very short black hair so I know it was not mine. Vaskens, why not require your employees to wear hair nets, or wear hats to prevent this from happening during food preparation? Asking for a refund is beyond necessary as finding a long hair in my food is totally unacceptable and disgusting. Never going back. Despite delicious food, hair is gross and should be completely avoidable during food prep, ugh.

On my only trip there the service I received was not good at all. The cashier could tell it was my first time there and didnt offer any assistance. I asked for soup and sandwich and was told they didnt do that combo even though they sold both. After I ordered, at least two couples who ordered after me received their orders. The food was average and not well priced. Its not much of a deli. More of just a fast food place disguised as a deli. I would find a different place to eat other than going here.

The food is awesome and refreshing! It is finally nice to have a break from fast-food or Chinese food. Clean, friend and fast. A bit on the pricey side but worth every cent. I had the shawarma and the beef was perfectly cook. You could the char and the cause was great as well. The taziki and baba ganoush were on par as well great dips if you just want a quick appetizer or lunch. And their tea selection is off the hook many to choose from and each one seems to be a good choice.

So our first experience with Vaskens isnt the best. The food had the same quality as that of a fast food restaurant. None of the recipes had a fresh flavor and our order was wrong. The dressing they provided for our salad was vinegar and not an actual dressing. The hummus, gyros and the baba ganoush had little to no flavor. Overall each item we tried was bland. Until some improvements are made we will never recommend this restaurant.

I love Gyros and have eaten them all over the country. Normally the mutton is dry and flavorless and the Tzatziki is either overly-flavored or applied too sparsely. Ive got to say that this is the first gyro Ive had where they got all of the elements right; the mutton was soft, warm and flavorful and the tzatziki was flavorful and applied in the correct portions. Will be back frequently.

I love the food, but I hate that even though I am fine with paying the full price they force me to get a side with my gyros. My family doesnt eat chips, potato salad or any of their other sides so its wasted food and makes me feel awed il. If they would let me just not take a side I would give 5 stars.

The gyros are really good. Meat and tzatzii are both top notch. Unfortunately, their order accuracy is below 50% since they reopened. If its to go and you order a side or anything special, check it twice cause it is likely they missed something, even when youre the only one there.

One of my favorite places to eat. Always get the firehouse gyro and baba ghanoush and hummus. Same guy has been here for a few years, friendly. Location moved to something south. Prices are a little high for what you get, its good though.

In town and craving some good Mediterranean type food, very few options in this town but this was DELICIOUS! Gyro was AMAZING! Super fast too, so great for lunch. Will most definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Gyros are great, but the real reason to go is the Armenian coffee, its a unique brew style that is hard to find in this area. Dont forget the baklava!
