My wife stopped in last night to grab a pizza, and now Im wishing she hadnt. We had been wanting to try Providence for quite a while, but were finding ourselves hard pressed to drive through Grandview, which is a sketchy area at best. We got the large sicilian with pepperoni, sausage and chicken. The pepperoni were nickel-sized, something you might see on a kids pizza and the sausage was in little pieces, similar to a sloppy joe consistency, and was bland. The chicken was super dry and had little,if any, seasoning. The sauce was at least acceptable, but the crust was burnt on the underside and was still doughy on top. All of this for the low, low price of $26? Yep. And the worst of it was the person taking the order making my wife feel like they were doing her a favor by making a "from scratch" pizza rather than taking some from the individual slices they have. Needless to say, we wont ever be back. If you expect quality toppings on a decent pizza, without a hassle,I suggest going elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE.

Worst pizza I have ever eaten!!! This was the first time I visited Providence pizza. I ordered the Rocky Point pizza. First the crust was the texture of a cracker. When I bit into the pizza crust was so dry and crispy because the staff making the pizza failed to put any Alfredo sauce on the pizza. No lie!!! My pizza was also missing another key ingredient.... mozzarella cheese. I couldnt get out of this horrible restaurant fast enough. My sister was also given the wrong order. She ordered the Jersey Shore stromboli and the staff brought out the Spinach pie stromboli. Mind you the restaurant was pretty much a ghost town at this time so there was no excuse for the HUGE mistakes that were made with our food. The manager of this establishment needs to establish some type of quality control measures with his staff members because they missed the mark big time on making a good pizza. Proceed with caution if you do decide to give this restaurant a try!!! I will never ever return. Thanks but no thanks!

The food was excellent and the service was horrible my friend and I stood in line and when it was our turn the lady help the people behind us as they were walking in. Supervisor seen that we havent been helped us so then she came over and assisted me and handed me what I wanted but it was two of us standing there so she ignored my friend that I was with to go back to help the people who had just walked in so I had to let her know once again that we were not done ordering.(most places I thought asked did you need anything else or will that be it for you). The cashier wasnt any better she acted like she was frustrated every time that you asked her something and mumbled something under her breath.this was the first experience and a very bad experience and Im not for sure if I will be going back there I hate going to places to spend my money when I think that race played a part in how I was treated. Yes Im African American and my friend is Hispanic.(the only ones in there by the way)

Went here for a few different slices to share with the family, and all of us enjoyed them! Me and my mother liked the barbecue chicken pizza, and Dad was a fan of the thin crust pepperoni. He said that it was closer to what he had in his childhood back in New York -- it made him really happy! He basically never gets excited over food, so to see him smile was a very nice change of pace. But there is something you should keep in mind before coming here. Like one of the past reviewers said, this is NOT chain style pizza! If youre expecting something more like Papa Johns or Pizza Hut, prepare to be disappointed -- these pizzas get a bit of a char on the bottom, the pepperoni pieces arent quite as big, and the sauce isnt as sweet. And to be honest, I think I would still visit those kinds of places -- but I will certainly be back here for more, as I definitely want to try out their other offerings.

Uninspired?? Are you some kind of Superman Foodie?? Seriously. This pizza is probably one of the MOST inspired pizza places in the KC area. Never disappointed. Where else can you try a slice of Buffalo Pizza (Nice Slice) & Supreme (Providential) without having to order an entire pizza?? Its fantastic. The "by-the-slice" idea was genius & their offerings never disappoint. In fact, we cant drive by it without our 2 year old yelling "PIZZZZZAAAAAA!" She often wins this battle, because who can refuse deliciousness?? Also, when we have friends & family over, Providence is the easy go-to. All of our "foodie" visitors say that its fantastic, too. The city of Grandview got really lucky when these brothers decided to open up a pizzeria.

This is great pizza on what may be the best crust Ive ever sampled. It has a certain texture and al dente-ness to it that reminds me of a really good gourmet pretzel. It is soft and slightly chewy but not tough and rubbery like I find at many places. Its hard to describe accurately, so just try it. One caveat to all this: skip the thick crust. They need to work on it before Ill try it again. Way too bready and heavy. Most thick crust pizzas use a flaky, buttery crust thats prepared much like pastry dough. Theirs appears to just be a bunch of dough that puffs up like a big piece of sandwich bread. If thats your bag then go for it, otherwise stick with the thin and wood-fired pies.

The pizza here is very good with an excellent chewy crust on the New York style and their Sicilian is very good also. Their salads are very good as well, we have tried the house and cherry salads. Cherry was awesome. Also if you want something very sweet the dough-boys are great also, but you can only eat a few so the $5 order is enough for at least 4. (fried pizza dough with melted Nutella and powered sugar) I have been for lunch twice so I have not yet had a chance to try their wood fired pizza as they only serve this for dinner, but hope to be back. The food is 5 stars, but the counter help was a little less than enthusiastic to be there, hence the 4 star rating.

Great New York style pizza. Their different options are great; you can grab a slice to go or order a whole pizza. In the evenings, they have the wood fired oven going and I have loved ordering their Margherita pizza!! Simple and delicious. Just recently, they opened up their restaurant for a pop up event and I attended. Since were outside of downtown a (short) bit, it was very convenient that this pop up was down the street. I loved being able to experience this. LOVE this place and LOVE having it in our small community!

Ordered the sausage and pesto pizza but because some oven was not on or not working they said that they could make it Sicilian style for a small up charge...if I would have known it was a $10 extra charge I would have said forget it...to top it off we waited 45 minutes for it...spent almost $50 for the pizza, a slice for my daughter, salad and mozzarella sticks was not worth it! Prob wont go back!! And the slice looked like been sitting in display for a while daughter barely touched it! Learned my lesson
