I was in town for work and was looking for somewhere to eat. I asked the hotel front desk guy and he recommended Firehouse Bar & Grille. I live in the Twin Cities and was looking for some small town atmosphere (I am from a small town). I found exactly what I was looking for! I sat at the bar and as greeted right away. They let me know that Wednesday nights were "wing night" (50 cents a wing). The lady that was sitting next to me was an old employee of the bar and pretty much gave me a play by play of what was good on the menu. After looking at the menu for 10 minutes I ordered 6 wings for an app.... I then ordered the California Burger. I have had many burgers, but this one was by far one of the best!!! If you ever find yourself in the Wadena, MN area I would high suggest stopping at Firehouse Bar & Grille!

The food is typical bar food with a twist. They had ghost pepper cheese on most things! Fried pickles were good and french fries were pretty good. My husband had a queso burger and it was wrapped in a tortilla which was weird but it was great with the pico and jalapenos on it. I had a firehouse chicken sandwich without the firehouse sauce(a great sauce just too spicy for me with the ghost pepper cheese) my brother had the same but with the sauce and he said it was good. Sister in law had a wrap which had a big tortilla so she had to take off some of the tortilla when eating but she said it was good. Waitress was very friendly and fast service.

This use to be a good place to dine but the service has gone downhill very quickly. My girlfriend and myself went in there to dine recently and never got served. We waited at our table for over 15 minutes without any server waiting on us and there were two servers on duty. Completely piss poor, if you ask me.

Consistently good food with creative menu choices. Last time we were there, the waitress let us do whatever we wanted basically for burger basket night. Firehouse burger without slaw is my favorite, but its not for the timid!
