Wonderful atmosphere and food. I have yet to have anything I disliked from this place. My favorite thing to get is the chimichanga as I love the cheese sauce on it. Sometimes I use the sauces that come with our chips to add to my meals. My only complaint is that most of the menu items say either "rice OR beans", which is kind of disappointing because I like having both with my Mexican food. Most other places Ive been to (El Loro and El Toro) have meals that come with both. But then again I never am able to finish all of my food so not having both isnt too big of a deal. Would definitely recommend going to if you enjoy Mexican food.

40th Birthday - party of 7. Seated at filthy table, 10 mins to clean halfways and was still clearly filthy. Understaffed, took an hour for the food to arrive which was ice cold. Asked manager to assist, Alex, he made a scene. yelling at us that the food was in no way all cold. 3 people approcahed us telling us their food was cold but that they were afraid to say anything because of the combative manager. reheated our food in a microwave, came out slapped it on the table and yelled - There its hot! Gave no one back their correct dishes. Left without eating, horrible. Terrible service on a milestone day I cannot get back.

Like good quality food, priced affordably, and served by people that are truly happy that youre in their restaurant? Go no futher than Reys. Food is tasty and fresh, drinks cold, and service outstanding. Last time there, I counted 13 employees for their modest restaurant. 13! And all moving, hustling, and smiling. Go and enjoy - they deserve a long and profitable run, and Waconia deserves a casual restaurant where youre treated like a valued guest.

Went in for lunch Tuesday 2/23. They only had one customer which is a red flag. There were crumbs and debris all over the floor probably from the night before. The booth seat hadnt been wiped off. Then the waiter gave me a dirty menu. If 5 waiters with nothing to do cant clean up the dining room, what must the kitchen look like? I put my jacket back on and went next door to Unhinged Pizza, where I had a great lunch.

I was treated to this place for lunch, not even knowing it existed. The chips and sauces you get before the meal are so outstanding! The meal itself was so outstanding that I talked my boyfriend to take me there again for supper so I ate there twice in one day! The food is absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is too! Also, the employees are quick as a whip and ready to serve you.

Less than 0 star zeros . All we wanted was tacos and rice for 2 people. It was over priced and we ended up with a pile of crap, plus the extra hour we waited for our to go order. Good luck if you decide to order to go at Waconia rey azteca. This was once a place we went to and it was an okay place. Now...it is not even close to okay. It was terrible.

Ive been coming to this place for the past 8 years and I can confidently say Rey Azteca is the best place for authentic Mexican food in the Southwest Metro. The food is phenomenal, the staff is incredibly friendly and courteous, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The fajitas, pollo asado and quesadillas are all amazing. I have never been disappointed!

Love love love this place. Ive been going here since they first opened. Only had one small issue with my food and they fixed it immediately after i said something! Delicioussss. Only think remotely bad i coukd say is that they need some more servers that speak a little more english. Or help the ones they have speak a little more.

This place was great the first time we went. Tonight? Not so much. They were very busy and clearly not staffed for it. Never refilled chips, only refilled drinks once... with wrong drinks. Took an hour to get our food and the portions were much smaller than the first time we ate there. Very underwhelming.

Great Mexican restaurant. My family has been going here for years and we love it. Very friendly wait staff and delicious food. My only gripe is that they have raised their prices recently it seems. Still, if you like Mexican you cant go wrong.

We come here often and the service is always great.. Just make sure if you ask for "extra spicy" you mean it.. I just sat and cried while I ate my fiesta burrito... Staff is extra fun. Enjoy great quality food with fun people.
