We stopped at Main Cafe for a quick bite to eat because we wanted to try a new place and they didnt seem terribly busy. We walked in and the waitress told us to sit wherever. We walked in behind another couple, who sat at the table right next to us. It took about 5 minutes for someone to bring us some menus. The couple sitting next to us received menus right away. We gave the waitress the benefit of the doubt, thinking she was busy. She took the order of the couple sitting next to us and then brough us our menus. She came back about 10 minutes later to take our order...after she had brought the couple next to us their food. She then took our order and about 10-15 minutes later our food came. We didnt have silverware and assumed she was going to get some. We waited for a couple minutes before getting up to find someone to get us silverware. We were given ONE set of silverware. Seriously? This was getting ridiculous. We finally got another set of silverware. This whole time, our waitress has not come back. She did not check on us the entire time we were eating. I didnt get a glass of water until I was just about finished with my meal. We asked for our check and it took her another ten minutes to bring us our check. When we finally got the check, we have the waitress our card right away, to avoid waiting such a long time. It took her another ten minutes to bring us the card back. We were so frustrated with the horrible service that we will not be coming back here. The food was delicious, but the service was just too horrible.

I eat here sometimes as I work in Stillwater part-time. The thing to know first is that they only accept cash or checks. There is an ATM in the restaurant, but I think I got charged a $3 fee to use it the last time I did. The food is okay. I give it a B. Your experience with it will vary. Early May 2012, I went last to try their burgers for the first time. It was slightly undercooked and moderately greasy. Not intolerable, but I didnt finish it. The fries were crispy and very good! If you do get to go here, try the boston cream pie. It is creamy, very filling, and delicious. It was the highlight of the trip. The service is always nice and easy. Everyones treated like a good friend who dropped by. This really adds to the experience. I give this restaurant a B.

Great food and service! They have very good omelettes and treated you with friendly service. They only accept cash or check, but it wasnt a big deal to me, I just wrote them a check to avoid the ATM fee. I brought my 15 month old with me and the waitress asked if I wanted to order any food for him, I said no, he will just eat my pancake. She had the cook make his pancake first. It was very helpful so I could feed him first, then eat mine when it came a short while later. I will definitely be back to this great cafe! ❤

We always stop at the Main Cafe for lunch when we are in Stillwater. We make a point to get to Stillwater a couple of times a year for bookstores and antique store browsing, and after discovering the Main Cafe, we have made a tradition of having lunch there. Seems like I usually get a Reuben sandwich, which hasnt disappointed me yet, while my wife tries something different each time. A nice neighborhood kind of place with friendly service.

OK breakfast. Taste was ruined by: THEY DONT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. Its a scam to get you to withdraw from the onsite ATM with its $3.50 fee. So despite the ok-service from the waitress, the scam gets this a 0 on service, and a 0 on food. Huge ATM machine with neon ruins any decor too.

My waitress was all smiles, very friendly, and knowledgeable about the food and what to expect. I can never find falafel so I ordered it and was not disappointed. It came with a Tahini sauce not light on the garlic, which I enjoyed very much.

One of the best breakfast meals Ive ever received at a restaurant, I can count on one hand how many times Ive finished all of the food on my plate at a restaurant, and this is one of those times. Tastes like just like home.

This place has horrible parking, they are not family friendly and they have hardly any vegetarian options and zero vegan options. I would not recomend this placw unless u love eating carcasses.
