After 7 long years of trying the worst Chinese food in the North Burbs, (Hopes and that Purple place) my Wife and I stumbled on to this little hidden gem. Dont let the outside of the place fool you, (its tucked in near a bar, a pawn shop, and a tattoo parlor) the food is outstanding! When walking in, youll see a counter for take out, but when you turn left to enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a clean, well kept, cozy little dining room. The sevice was prompt and friendly. The waiter took our drink order, 2 sodas. Then, my wife and I started out with fried dumplings and wantons. The wantons were so crisp and the cream cheese filling was sweet and succulent. No dipping sauce needed or wanted. The dumplings were perfect! It reminded us of the kind our Chinese neighbor used to make for us. *Muah* Then, the entrees arrived. Wow! The portions were huge. My wife ordered Sesame Chicken. I had the Szechuan Beef. Both plates were piping hot and were a feast for the eyes. As with all Oriental cuisine, both were accompanied with a large bowl of steamed rice. As I began to dig in to this tasty dish, I thought I was Adam Richmond from Man-vs-Food. This was going to be a challenge to finish every bite. I think they sliced an entire Porterhouse for the dish. The tender beef melts in your mouth, but, theres a lot more going on the dish. I found lots of tasty surprises. Mushrooms, celery, water chestnuts, carrots, cabbage, and few other ingredients in a not too spicy sauce. 20 minutes into this dish I was nearly spent and had to loosen my belt for the home stretch, yet, the Szechuan Beef was still piping hot. How is that possible? Finally, just as we were finishing, the cutest little lady brought 2 freshly made sugar doughnuts to our table. We didnt have room for one more bite, but we obliged her and forced them down. Crunchewey delicious! I got a bright idea and ordered Chow Mein to go for dinner tonight. I had alittle taste and all I can say is...my life doesnt suck, right now. Oh yeah, in case you were wondering ...Food won! But, well definitely be back for another go at it.

Great Chinese food at a great price! Like the review below said, it is easy to overlook this restaurant situated in a small strip mall off of Central. But the food and service were excellent, with fast and friendly service. We had the lunch buffet, which is a pretty good price for all you can eat ($7), and each of the dishes were made up fresh and brought around to the tables. Since it isnt set up in a line with warmers, youre not getting old dishes that have been sitting out for awhile, but freshly made meals (I think there are normally 5 or 6 dishes for the day, listed out front on the board, for the buffet). They also came around often with appetizers (egg rolls, cream cheese wontons, etc) and sweet sugar doughnuts that are fresh, also. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Even our toddler, who isnt a big eater when not at home, really enjoyed the food and ate a lot more than we expected. Overall, a great experience, and planning on going back again. I recommend the cashew chicken and the fried chicken=)

Quanity? Yes. Quality? No. After having eaten here twice now. I will say that the lunch buffet for $5.99 is worth it and the food is fresh out of the kitchen and there is a lot of variety. However my experiences with the take out is that the food is not as good. With regard to our take out food we were all underwhelmed. There was little difference between the flavor of the Orange Chicken and General Tso. Contrary to the menu the food was NOT spicy in the least bit. However the food at lunch was spicy... In regards to take out; My partner and I tried a few different dishes, the eggrolls and the donuts. Its all greasy and fried. The donuts were good, just like an amusement park or county fair. Service was good and the staff is friendly. The price is affordable and the place was clean. Unfortunately the food quality is average to cafeteria grade, but nothing beyond sustenance.

This place is really good for good inexpensive american-chinese restaurant. Its way more affordable than any place Ive seen in the cities. One entree can serve two comfortably, unless you like overeating. The wontons were delicious. The fried rice seemed like it had sat on the burner a bit too long, but it wasnt bad...we are going back to try it again (hence the four stars not five). If you want fancy, expensive chinese go somewhere else, but who wants that anyways. Dining in was a pleasure and we experienced fast service (although there was no one else eating there around 5 pm). More people started showing up when we left around 6 pm.

Best Lunch buffet in the North Metro. There is no buffet table. They carry around the freshly cooked dishes in bowls and offer them all to you. If you want something you havent seen yet just ask they will get it whipped up. Everything is always piping hot and very good! It is one of my favorite lunch stops hands down. My wife is a big Chow Mein eater and she doesnt care for their version of Chow Mein but she loves everything else that they offer. I am not into the fried chicken but my brother in-law absolutely raves about it! Check this place out! You will not be disappointed!

Went on a Sunday at 4:05 just after opening thinking we would get fresh food. We ordered a General Tao Chicken, an Orange Chicken, and Vegetable Fried Rice. Though both chicken dishes were listed as spicy they had no spice at all. Both were obviously left over soggy fried chicken chunks that had been soaking in the same sauce for at least a day. Thats right they were EXACTLY THE SAME DISH AND SAUCE. The old soggy entrees were inedible. Any place that would serves leftovers using the same sauce for multiple dishes doesnt merit a second chance.

As others have said, I cant believe how awesome the food/service is here. Its a buffet, for an incredibly low price for lunch, but you never have to get up. They bring each dish in a large serving bowl straight from the wok. So each dish is served piping hot. Almost too hot. If one of the dishes doesnt appeal to you, theyll be by soon with a different dish. Such a strange experience. You dont have to crowd the buffet line or wait on the elderly. Just sit tight and another entree will be on your plate in no time. Ill be going back for sure!

This place has the best Chinese food in the area! Ive been coming here for a few years now. The lunch buffet is Fogo-style in that its delivered to your table, but extremely affordable. Im addicted to this food. I have tried a lot of things on the menu and never been let down. Also - the owners are a great, friendly family who treat their customers like royalty! I love supporting this local business and will be back for years to come.
