I had gone to pick up food for my elderly grandfather and myself and my young child. When I arrived there was already 5 people waiting. I waited roughly 5 minutes before my order was taken. I get it, staff can get busy and backed up. I ordered just a plain hamburger, the double cheese burger combo, a small strawberry shake and a small cup of ice cream for my son. This came to a whopping $16.00! I can the same amount of food for less at McDonalds. So once my order is placed two of the men who had been waiting asked to cancel their order due to the long wait time. Granted about 10 minutes had passed at this point. They got their order about 10 minutes after that. I waited 45, yes 45 minutes before my order was ready. And then when I go to pick it up its wrong. He charged me for an extra combo I didnt order, and the only item that was correct was the shake and plain burger. They offered to remake it but at that point I had already been over charged (Didnt even bother to offer a refund on what they had over charged me) and Id already waited 45 minutes. Who knows how long making the correct order would have taken. Im an assistant general manager at a restaurant, Ive been in the business for over 20 years. I understand being short staffed. This was poor management, is there even a manager or supervisor on duty for each shift? This was poor training, this guy didnt even know the menu or how to properly ring them in. This was all around HORRIFIC guest service.

Mold, Mice, Leaks, and Expired Milk!? How does the Health Department allow this? On this site, they have not been food safety certified for over six months, but because ownership changed they are allowed to continue operating despite not knowing how to safely handle your food. I can talk with certainty about the mold underneath the metal plated floors in the back of the store, the mice traps near stored product in the basement that are needed, as well as the drips that contaminate boxes of product. The most revolting though is those buckets of leftover melted soft serve that sit out all day are sifted and refrozen along with other "mistakes" to become those pies the owners are forcing down peoples throats. No expiration dates can be found on opened packages, often employees use bare unwashed hands in the kitchen, and after food is cooked for the second time they microwave sandwiches. I have probably still missed other things, like they only rinse everything from candy scoops to utensils used on raw meat, no soap in that sink.

This is my hometown DQ. Its the place where everyone goes after sports games in North St. Paul and a great stop off the Gateway trail if youre out enjoying a bike ride. I see a lot of mixed reviews and I understand why. I think there is general inconsistency from their team. Sometimes the service can be slow, but other times its spot on. Heres the most important thing - they make the BEST Blizzards in the East Metro. What makes them stand out is they typically top it off with a heaping spoonful of your flavor. YUM! Who doesnt love that. And if youre going through the drive-thru they will make sure youre not missing out. Same with their Cherry Freeze - the best in town. They dont have the best drive-thru set up or parking lot, the inside could use a refresh, but all-in-all its your classic mom and pop hometown DQ - complete with imperfections.

Dairy Queen management takes your reviews to heart and has listened to comments over the past several years. We are working very hard to address the cleanliness and appearance of our store, as well as the quality of product you receive. We have made several improvements this season alone. While its unfortunate that a disgruntled staff member can continue to make negative and inaccurate comments online, we would like to assure our customers that we have passed every health inspection that has been done. These inspections are done randomly multiple times per year (with no advance notice), as part of the food service industry requirements. We also are required by law to pay minimum wage and in fact pay staff more than is required. We appreciate your continued business and will continue to strive to give you the best experience possible.

Worst Dairy Queen experience Ive had. Wife and I went once about a month ago and were very disappointed, it was unclean and they messed up both of our orders, her French Silk Pie blizzard (which she confirmed with them) was vanilla soft serve with cheesecake pieces. We decided to give them a second chance tonight and we were just as disappointed. She ordered the same French Silk Pie blizzard and got the same incorrect order, and my "chocolate extreme" was vanilla soft serve with chocolate chips. Based on other reviews, they really arent training their workers well at all and really need to get things straightened out. Frankly, Im shocked theyre as busy as they are. Lastly, if you decide to try your luck, do yourself a favor and dont use the drive thru, as there is room for about one car before hitting the street.

This place is nasty, nasty, nasty. Such a shame because it is right along the Gateway trail. It would be the perfect stop for a bike ride. Instead, it is the most vile and disgusting establishment open to the public. They served my son a half-cooked cheeseburger - cold, chewy and red inside. Apparently, there were ants living in the soda lines because 3 consecutive pours of a diet coke produced about three dozen ants (I know. Why would I keep trying?!). To top it all off, in the middle of our meal, they decided to move a mobile counter to sweep under it. It looked like that was the first time they had moved that thing in years based on the amount of filth under it (filth that wafted into our meals). Sound yummy? This place should be condemned.

After a long hot day, I decided to get something cool on my way home. Looked up a few places and decided I wanted a blizzard. Seen all the nasty reviews and was discouraged but since I went to this one all the time as a child I figured they cant be true. Well they were. Kid working the drive thru could not hear me. I repeated 3 times. She said Ill have your total at the window. She then asked me what I ordered. Got my small salted Carmel blizzard and it was 3/4 full (not even exaggerating) chocolate and heath chunks, and very runny. I figured I would send an email first. But after 4 days of nothing back I am giving this review. Somebody needs to step up to the plate and start running things better. That is seriously a very poor excuse for a business.

This location is awful and needs a serious overhaul. Staff is extremely undertrained, dont know their menu at all, and have absolutely no customer service skills. Waited almost a half hour in the drive thru when there were only 2 cars in front of me. I had to repeat my order twice to the intercom, then had to repeat it again at the window. The person at the window didnt know how to enter orders, he had to write mine down so that someone else could enter it 5 minutes later. There was no sense of urgency even tho by the time I was at the window the line behind me wrapped into the street. No "thank you for your order" or "have a good night" or anything when we left. If youre in a hurry or cant stand rude people AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
