Last night, the owner of this Luce asked me if I wanted him to stab himself in the eye, if I wanted blood, in return for them not sending salad dressing with my salad, to which I responded, "Are you asking me if I want you to physically harm yourself? I dont...I..." Im not making this up. I was shocked. I have been ordering from Luce for 2-3 years. Im not one to be a jerk nor hustle people for things. I called to very calmly mention my missing dressing, and I really wanted to share my experiences with someone about the persistent and consistent bad food and service Ive had from Luce over the past 6 months, such as how their wings come broken sometimes (sharp pieces of bone, not just a little cracked), how I had found an enormous feather on one of my wings one time, how theyve flat out forgotten stuff (i.e. dips, parts of the meals, etc.), and how their food quality has gone severely downhill (I recently had their artichoke dip and a huge portion of it that was just cream cheese, as if it had been ridiculously half-assed). As the owner of the establishment, I would think hed like to know these things. I know I would if I were in his position. It may not be pleasant to hear, but its definitely not something to overlook or overreact about, thats for sure. I clearly caught the man at a bad time. He didnt apologize for the bad food and service, he just made excuses. He did apologize for the comment, but followed that up by abrasively pressuring me into asking for something as if I were some kind of hustler. It took me a minute, because in that moment, I sincerely didnt know if I wanted anything from them at that point (or ever again). But my friends did, so I asked for a free cheese pizza. Upon delivery, the delivery man passive-aggressively repeated my order back to me in attempts to guilt trip me, as if I had called to hustle a free cheese pizza outta the circumstance where I had simply not gotten dressing with my salad. I know people do stuff like that, but that just wasnt the case with me. The whole thing was an unfortunate and uncomfortable experience down to the very end. All I wanted to do was order some delicious food and then eat it. Little did I know... Not only did I not get any drummies with my wings, but once again, one of the wings was shattered, and I found myself pulling shards of bone out of my mouth. Lovely. So, heres a thorough bad review, and a long overdue goodbye, to Luce. Ciao!

I am a regular customer and as much as i love Pizza Luce, the downtown location has really been messing up my deliveries within the past few times Ive ordered. 90% of the time the pizza looks like it has been cut by a blind man with no arms, where some slices are 3 inches long, and others are 9, but i mean the pizza is still delicious so i cant be too mad about that, and its understandable when they are trying to get pizzas out and delivered during busy times of the evening. Whats been really bothering me is the lack of cheese and sauce on the pizza so whatever toppings come with it are everywhere but on top of the pizza by the time it arrives. The first big mistake was when i ordered a vegan rustler pizza, which even in its original state contains no meat - but it arrived completely covered in Canadian bacon (it did not state Canadian bacon on the receipt either). Luckily when i called, the manager was able to get me out a replacement free of charge, which didnt arrive for well over an hour after i called. (typically they are at my door 20-30 minutes after i place the order.) Then again i ordered another pizza just the other day with additional toppings, when i got the pizza none of those additional toppings were provided - but i was still charged on the receipt for what was not included. Just like any place, mistakes happen. Its just a huge annoyance when virtually every time i order through this Pizza Luce location there seems to be something wrong whether it be quality or topping mistakes. Either im just highly unlucky, or kitchen staff just dont seem to care.

First, The Good. Delivery was super fast! It was less than 30 minutes. The Jerk Wings were a quality rub with a respectable heat. The sweet chili sauce served with them was a perfect pairing with the heat of the wings. But that was the only enjoyable part of the meal! The Bad, we paid $20 for a Gluten Free 10 inch Wild Mushroom Pizza. I usually expect to pay more for GF, but this was not worth paying for at all. Three hungry pizza lovers didnt even finish it. And it was only a 10". The toppings were barely there. Maybe 8 mushroom pieces on the whole thing. The sauce was also super light (we went with the red instead of the olive oil). The only thing plentiful was the cheese, but I didnt specifically order a cheese pizza. And now the Ugly, the crust itself is absolutely disgusting, flat and flavorless. I understand businesses want to catch the GF fad and cater to those who cant legitimately have gluten, but putting out a pizza like that just to make some extra dollars is quite dissapointing. Please reconsider revamping this menu item before you waste others hardearned money and ruin your rep as a Minneapplis staple of great pizza.

Ive ordered three times from the Uptown location now. The first order: Pizza sauce was extremely bland. You have to pay for additional toppings like pesto, garlic, basil, etc. if you want this cardboard with cheese to have any flavor whatsoever. Second order: The spaghetti noodles were undercooked, not el-dente, undercooked/inedible. The sauce was horrible! The meatballs were hard and just disgusting! Pizza 1: A gluten free pizza - they could do this pizza without charging exorbitant fees - not worth the price. Pizza 2: The sausage was way too spicy even though there is no warning whatsoever provided to their customers that it is spicy. I added pesto and garlic this time but the crust was so soggy it was disgusting - inedible. 3rd order: gluten free pizza again - the shrimp was so rubbery it was inedible - had to be picked off just to eat the rest of the pizza so as not to waste the $25 it cost just for one tiny little pizza. I will never ever order from this restaurant again after they repeatedly refused to do anything whatsoever to make it right every single time I complained. HORRIBLE customer service!

I wish I could put 0 stars but google wont let me. Ive been ordering from Pizza Luce for 8 months for almost every day. The company I work for also orders from there and weve spent together at least over a couple thousands of dollars at this place in food and catering. My issue is that the cook got mad because I didnt leave a tip for a "to go" lunch special. He comes out after I get done paying for my food, asks the cashier did I leave a tip, and she shows him the receipt, and I here him talking crap about people who dont leave tips being douche bags. He says "people who dont leave tips are douche bags".Then he notices me come around the corner from where the water cups are, and he calls me a douche bad in front of the cashier! I wasnt dining in and I rarely do (when I dine in I do TIP), but I was shocked to hear this grown man call me d-bag several times as I was leaving because I didnt tip! I will NEVER order from there again and I will spread this negative experience with my co-workers so they may think twice about ordering food from the downtown Minneapolis Pizza Luce.
