This has to be one of my favorite local coffee shops in the area. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of spaces to work and the overall environment is rather cozy. There are a variety of tea and coffee selections which are well worth the adventure. There is also an extensive menu that features all of those caffeinated designer drinks. However, that isnt the best part! The owner makes his own hummus wraps and Middle Eastern eggplant dip all in house! There are also baklava desserts that will tempt an eager sweet tooth. I was very impressed with the quality after trying both categories of Middle Eastern food for the first time. The owner also promotes and features the work of local artists that live in and around the immediate Longfellow neighborhood area. It is for that reason why I believe the Lake Coffee House stands as a prolific staple of Longfellow in addition to South Minneapolis as a whole. Finally, dont forget about Open Mic Night which takes place during the first week of each month; ask the owner about the exact date. This is a gem waiting to be discovered! Once you go for the first time you’ll come back!

Lake Coffee House is becoming a unique hang-out spot for Longfellow locals. The owner is exceptionally kind, helpful and generous. The open mic nights (2nd Wednesday of the month) bring in friendly, warm crowds, and are a favorite night of the month for many. The baklava and fun flavor syrups are a hit with the regulars. This is a well-lit, comfortable place to study and work but also an ideal meeting place for groups!

This is by far the best coffee shop in the twin cites. So many different varieties of coffee and specialty drinks with such richness and quality in all thier drinks. The atmosphere is great for meet ups, studying , read a book or just relax. I highly recommend this place if you want the best of a coffee shop

The best coffee place in all of Minneapolis. Quiet, cozy, great art, good music (a lot of French music too), think Hygge in all the best way. Also all the baristas are super cute. Even the older gentleman who is the owner in a hot grandpa kind of way.

This is a great little neighborhood coffee shop, very laid back with interesting artwork on the walls. Their mango smoothies are amazing. One of the last times I was there, everyone was raving about the baklava, so Ill have to try that soon!
