This place is a JOKE! Went there last night for a special event, waiter acted like he was this amazing waiter. We placed our order and it took about a hour for our food to come out. In this hour our waiter would purposely ignore us when we would call him over and he would say oh they are calling me for your food and just would never come back. Myself and another person at our table was gluten free and when we said it had to be gluten free he made a sarcastic tone like "oh ook.." we didnt feel comfortable with our food. The other person at our table got a gluten free steak and asked for it to be medium rare, it was mostly medium with a few spots of medium rare. After that long hour of waiting our food comes out and the waiter says "Oh yeah you could go get salad bar, and sorry guys kitchen was super busy.." Other people around us sat down after us and got their food first(with the same amount of people as us) I got a piece of chicken, apparently has no sides to it.. chicken was flat and very chewy. Salad bar was DISGUISTING. Had bread crumbs everywhere vegetables everywhere, it was gross. Couldnt eat that, we told our waiter who said he cleaned it up but when we left we could tell it was never even touched. We sat outside on their patio and over in the grass near us were these little red beetle things it was weird. Bathrooms were gross and one stall was broken, dont you think that should have been fixed on such a "busy" night? NEVER COMING BACK HERE. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS

8/2/15: We stopped at the Lookout once previously for beers, just a quick stop. Today (Sunday), we spent a little more time, but still only ordered off the appetizer menu. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. We sat inside at the bar and received fantastic service (granted, the bar was slow compared to the outdoor patio). Since we ended up ordering off the appetizer menu our expectations where not high, but the food was still very good (bbq chicken flatbread and sliders). Price was extremely low for what we got (4 tall domestic beers and 2 apps), under $21 in total. We actually planned on using our Metro Dinning Club card, but passed on that when we saw the happy hour prices. We definitely plan to go back and spending some time on the patio and would recommend this bar to anyone. High value, laid back atmosphere, good service, decent food.

I walked in to this place to order a burger for carry out on Monday. I was told I could not order burgers to go on Mondays because they had a special on all burgers. Since my order was carry out, they made me pay full price, and O tipped them modestly. The next day, I had to call into work because I could not stop throwing up all morning. I think they did something on purpose to my meal because of the "hassle" of making an order for carry out. My meal was dry, and bland with no taste. The staff was very disrespectful and frustrated because they did not understand how to make an order for carry out with the special they had that day. I DO NOT recommend anyone to even try this place!!! If you are looking for a good burger, go somewhere else...

Friday fish fry is terrible. Weve tried it twice with similar results. The most recent time, three of the first four plates of fish we received had under cooked and/or raw fish. Some of the fish could be folded in half without breaking it was so raw. The fifth plate took over 25 minutes to come out as it seemed they were making sure it was cooked thoroughly enough, and it was. But, the fish was sill mushy and not flaky at all. The batter on the fifth plate somehow was still soggy and weird. It seems like the fish is a very poor quality the batter is way too thick. The only pluses are the beer was decent and the prices are reasonable. The place has a dive bar feel and I wanted to like it, but the food was a real let down.

The Lookout catered my wedding in 2009 and everyone raved about how great the food was! I had multiple people say that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, and I would have to agree. The food was extremely affordable and I must admit I was surprised at how delicious it was. I did not taste the food before serving it because I was on a tight budget, I just expected it to be mediocre as most wedding food is. I was pleasantly surprised and even went back for seconds (as did many of my guests!) Two years later, I am still getting compliments on the food! I would recommend The Lookout for catering if you are looking for a great value!

Stopped for lunch and drinks on a Sunday afternoon. The food made hospital food seem flavorful. Went out onto the patio for drinks and my wife wanted to play bean bags. The server wanted to hold her ID while we were in use of the bags, seemed legit, but when the time came to bring them back and go we were greeted with confusion, none of the staff seemed to know anything about this practice of ID holding. We were asked if we knew who took her ID, apparently we need to ID the wait staff. After about five minutes somebody found it. The place has been open for almost 60 years, WOW.

Fairly disappointing. Food quality was par at best, even for a bar & grill. BBQ was moderately better than average, everything else was plain. The service we received was very poor. Our server ignored us for most of the meal. She missed parts of our order which is why we needed her attention. After asking another staff member to get her attention, it still took several minutes to be helped. I wouldnt recommend this place for anything other than seeing a bar band at night. There are too many other great options nearby to waste time here.

This place has great happy hour deals and always has something going on. Live bands every weekend and everyone is having a great time. Dance floor at night during the weekend and no one cares what you look like when you dance. Just a bunch of people having a great time. Service is a little slow but enjoy people watching, music, and dancing and you will enjoy yourself. Also crowd is all ages from 21 to i met a 91 year old gentleman who was swing dancing. Fun time for low key fun

We ate at the Lookout for the 4th of July buffet for $7.00 (a great deal). We were so disappointed. The chicken was greasy, the salad bar was not filled, the shredded pork was dried out on the top and we did not try the hamburgers. The desserts were not kept filled either. Alongside the buffet station, the dirty dishes were piled up in an open cart. We asked if we could have some popcorn (normally available during Happy Hour) and were told they did not have time to make any.

The best family - friendly place to eat in Maple Grove. Besides the fabulous food, great service and outdoor patio, the Lookout Bar & Grill is dedicated to their community. I am very impressed how supportive they are when it comes to people in need...FABULOUS! They also dedicate 1 night per month for education. A portion of the proceeds is donated to the local school district. I would like to extend my thanks to the Lookout for all you do for your community...Thank you!
