We went here for breakfast . The place is a little rough around the edges but the cook has mastered breakfast for sure ! I had the loaded hashbrowns with over medium eggs . The breakfast was prepared to PERFECTION . The hashbrowns were a perfect near crisp deliciousness , smothered in ham ( real ham that had been diced by the cook , not imitation frozen cubed ham ) peppers , onions and mushrooms then topped with shredded cheese melted perfectly . My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly as well . I have never had such perfect eggs in my life . And FAST preperation ! This breakfast totally beat the one we had the next morning in minneapolis at a pretty fancy place , that took over an hour to get to our table . Nice work , Sunrise Cafe , my compliments to the chef !!

I really want to like this place. But it doesnt like me. Or more specifically, the waitresses apparently dont. I am fairly new to the area and have stopped in several times. The small, down- home diner atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The service is non-existent. The young waitress will take your order, then retire to the corner booth, break out her cellphone, and that will be the last youll hear from her except when she quietly slips your ticket on the table the second your meal arrives. Youll not see a coffee refill, water fill, or even an acknowledgement that youre alive. I think this is a locals only place as it doesnt matter who is working, service is the same.

Environment: Sunrise Cafe has a great small town feel with country music playing and a very small dining area. It is usually not very busy. My experience with the servers was moderate at best, which is why I knocked off a star. Mine wasnt very upbeat or friendly. Food: My family and I all enjoyed the food very much. It was very well prepared to our liking and best of all it came VERY fast. There selection is decent, full of classic breakfast and lunch options that most people will really enjoy. Conclusion: I had a good experience overall. With excellent food and a very calm, enjoyable environment I will definitely be returning to Sunrise Cafe.

Ordered an egg & cheese biscuit. They couldnt wrap their brain around how one would be made. They had eggs ☑, biscuits☑ and cheese☑ but couldnt figure out how to stack it. Staff wasnt very knowledgeable. Not a fan of meat in the morning, so no meat. The food was very greasy, and tasted just like sausage ...but remember, I didnt order meat. I ate it because I was hungry. Will never eat here again! DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EAT HERE. Oh, and the coffee had a very bitter taste to it. BAD COFFEE!

If you are looking for a great greasy spoon this is a utopia. The decor in the place is basic, but hey, its a greasy spoon! Love the food from breakfast to lunch. The food is prepared well and the coffee is surprisingly good. Ashlynn is always here and very good at taking care of us. Its one of our familys favorite places.

We eat here every Sunday. Great made from scratch food friendly servers who remember you and treat you like family and really good pricing. We have had their breakfast and lunch and love them both. Family of 5 can eat here for under $50.
