Ive had poor service here before but tonight was just horrible. I dont see a reason to go back unless maybe for takeout. Waited a good 15 minutes to even order drinks, took about 20 minutes before they came then he forgot mine. Refilled my water and other drinks after we finally lined them up. Had to go track someone else down to get more chips, they brought one extra basket for the 7 of us. When ordering the waiter kept correcting my friend and said next time you should just use numbers saying two tacos is too confusing! Had three kids with us, generally in that situation you bring the kids food first. After an hour on a slow Friday night we got all of the meals except for one of the kids meals. Waited another five to ten minutes for that. Rice and beans were cold and my chimichanga was average. Asked for a To-go box, they never brought it. My wife had to remind the waiter about her sangria ten minutes after ordering it. Finally our friends told the manger the issues but although they seemed apologetic they didnt do anything, waiter never got better and was kind of rude when splitting the check. We were divided one family on each side of the table, its not rocket science and because he was so slow we never had a chance to order more drinks. They did comp the $4 kids meal and the cashier went out of her way to point that out. Food was good but not great and the server should find a new profession. I waited tables for years when I was younger and Im sorry on a slow Friday night (the place was half empty at 6:30 to 7:45pm) he should have done better. I felt bad for our friends who brought us there, they were embarrassed. Management should make some changes here, focus more on service or people wont come back.

Ive had great luck with El Loro restaurants in our area (the Eagan location is actually my favorite place to eat), however we had a terrible experience our first (and only time) going to the Burnsville location. It was too much work for the server/floor manager to take our order within an hour of us arriving; too much work to get us our check within 40 minutes of finishing our meal, then he has the balls to say "you shouldnt bring a baby to the party". Baby was fine and sat quiet in his seat for the 2 and a half hours we were there. Sorry, duder, it is you who need to work on your manners and how to run the floor. Never going back there again. #firstworldproblems

My husband and I came across this reasturant 2 years ago. The first time we went here it was such a great experiance. I am writting this because we go there at least once a month. and Honestly we have NEVER not once had a bad experiance. It has always been clean, we have always been treated with respect. If there was ever something wrong they have fixed it being very polite. When people say the "server didnt understand what we wanted" Its a mexican reasturant if you want mexican food chances are mexican people are going to be making the food.. How arrogant of people to say somethng like it!! El loro you are doing a great job and you have a coustomer for life!! :)

Want a good starberry Margarita but TERRIBLE service? Head on over to El Loro. My boyfriend and I waited well over 30 mins for our waiter to come back to the table after we received our food. And over 20 mins for him to return our credit card. He then comes back to our table, after the 20 mins, to ask us if we were ready to pay.... the first bill he brought us was $19 and the second bill was $60!!!! They totally tried to rip us off! I am terribly disappointed. We spent over 2 and half hours here, primarily waiting on our waiter to actually come wait our table! NEVER GO HERE!!!!!! Wish I could rate them a negative 10!

I never have written a bad review on any Mexican restaurant...because I LOVE Mexican food, but this was a bad experience...the food was okay, but the service was terrible! I used the restroom and found it to be flooded...the toilet began to over flow so I (the patron) used the plunger to stop the overflow, then noticed water gushing up from a drain in the floor. When I exited the restroom I attempted to tell an employee about the mess....and the gentleman (manager ?) Said "i know, I know" and basically became irritated that I told him! As I said I love Mexican food, but we will not be returning to El Loro!

This is for the Bloomington location. HORRIBLE SERVICE! the food was dry and unseasoned and I will never return. The waitress could not even speak english so she barely understood anything we asked for. I had to get up and ask someone to find the server so she could take the order, I had to go to the bar myself to get more water, and my mom had to get up and find someone to ask for cheese because cheese did not come with the fajitas. Just a horrible time. Never again will I returnDescribe your experience at El Loro.

The worst service ever! The food was only okay...there is definately better Mexican cuisine out there. The service was terrible. The waitress was engrossed in the table next to us, phone out, surfing the internet. We waited several minutes before she even came to take our order. We were never asked if there was anything else that we needed and when we wanted our check, we had to begin to pack up to go before she came running over to give us the check. We will never eat here again.

This is my go to place whenever I am craving Mexican food. Their tacos are so yummy and the nachos are AMAZING! I dont know what people are thinking when they say anything bad about the service. Ive been coming here for years and have honestly never gotten anything but fantastic service. The staff are so nice and management seems to genuinely care about their customers.

Bad Coupons - Their Lunch Coupon Buy One / Second 50% Off... It does NOT say Dine In Only or NO Carry Out. I wanted to use one for Carry Out. Could somebody speaking Spanish... please inform them that this coupon MUST BE HONORED Yet, they insist that they will not honor it anymore. This need to be printed on the coupons.

The food was good, but the service was the worst Ive ever had and Im a former server... we waited two hours and didnt get refills, didnt get the dip and salsa we asked for and wasnt offered dessert, which we wanted. TWO hrs and no one came to us, it wasnt even busy. I recommend another Mexican restaurant!!! D-

Service is so so, food is so so, drink specials do not include other flavors of margaritas, it takes 10min to get water refill. Had poor service about a yr ago and then accidentally ended up here again thinking well, maybe service will be better, no luck. Much better mexican restaurants in area.

Pro: Friendly service, moderately priced, powerful margaritas. Cons: Food was less than exciting, the pico cheese dip was disappointing, the flavor was good but it was cold, undrained pico, with cheese dip poured over and therefore cold. The fish tacos tasted like frozen fish sticks.
