The first time I tried Sonic was in Nashville, TN, and I couldnt wait for Sonic restaurants to open in Michigan. The Sonic on John R in Troy, MI, is the absolutely worst. The kids that work there have very bad attitudes, are extremely unfriendly and the food is horrible. Went to Sonic when it first opened in Troy, and bought a hamburger/fries. Not only were the fries and hamburger cold, the hamburger was smash. It looked as if someone took a mallet to it. Thinking maybe they improved, today I went back for the kids. Spent $23. Again the food was cold and so bad the kids wouldnt eat it. A waste of money. Not only that, bought Chicken Strips with ranch dressing. The dressing was so thick it looked like paste (YUK). When I saw that I immediately snatched it from my daughter. I will never eat at any other Sonic restaurants in Michigan.

If you are used to the usual great sonic experience you wont find it here. I would give 0 stars if I could. Their headsets werent working. Instead of coming out to take the order we had to repeat ourselves many times and we still didnt know if the order was right. There was an issue with the order and the manager who came out didnt address or concerns. She was a B word to us. We were also asked to pay a different amount than what was on the screen. On top of that, we didnt get the sauces we paid for, didnt get ketchup or silverware or straws. The girl on the skates was the only nice person. Good thing our hotel room had a microwave. Our food was cold when we finally got to eat.

Sign out front says half price shakes from 8pm-2am. Ok cool. I go at 12:05 and but theyre not half price the girl tells me it ends at midnight. I say well the sign says til 2 what do you mean. She says yeah I know Ive been trying to get the GM to change the sign. Haha what? So they know theyre wrong but dont care to fix it and then not even honor it? Talk about a bait and switch. Update: Month later sign says Tuesday half price cheeseburgers 5pm - close. Its 12:15am and guy says its now Wednesday so theyre not half off. What about the sign that says til close? Nope. Change your signs or honor the deal cheap fvcks

If I could I would give Sonic a zero star. I ordered a chicken wrap deluxe meal. There were 2 extra small pieces of dried up, cold, salty, chicken. Terrible. Even an infant would starve eating the amount of chicken they put on their sandwich.The wrap was something that they bought a discount food grocery store. The sandwich was cold and GROSS. The fries were cold. The diet coke was the old item decent. I HIGHLY suggest you head to Burger King or McDonalds. You will get a much better meal and save money. Stay away from Sonic in Troy, Michigan. 3 words. GROSS GROSS GROSS

Had no problems. One thing Ive noticed about Sonic so far is the quality of their presentation (burgers at least). Normally Ill get a smashed burger or something that doesnt represent the picture whats so ever, and I dont care, its food. But when I unwrap something here its looked full and delicious. The building was okay, staff are good. The area isnt rich so dont expect a beautiful surrounding, its still perfectly acceptable. According to my roommate whose a sonic connoisseur , they were not up to par. Id eat there again.

I give them four stars, because honestly doing the summer and spring sometimes fall This is the perfect place to be too have lunch and dinner, food is amazing, one thing is true about this establishment you receive the attitude that you give and for the car hops to skate while holding food and a drink and not spilling it is a talent in its own I understand that the food will come out slower the more people that are in the drive thru and the stalls so everyone else needs to as well

Waited in drive thru line for 20 minutes only to get my entire order wrong. The "manager" didnt express any type of concern regarding their mix up. This sonic is also very unsanitary. I sat in the drive thru and watched several food preppers using their hands without gloves to wipe away ice cream from cones. Then I saw a girl who made the slushes wipe her runny nose with her hands then touched several fruits thats added to slushes. I will be calling the health department.

I pulled up to one of the call boxes and put in my order. Ended up having to wait for over 30 min before my Bacon Cheeseburger and Mango Ice Cream shake were brought to me. Were they busy yes...but still! 30 min!? Wasnt even a large order. And also...I pushed the call button two different times to check on my order to which I was told its on its way out to me. I would not recommend this particular location to anyone.

I remember when sonic coming to michigan was a big deal, now it seems to have lost all its allure. The food is ok, often cold. the drinks are alright but not worth the hype. i feel like all those commercials i used built a dream experience this play cant even attempt to do. also, its a weird location, right off the road, its not exactly a relaxed intersection for a drive in.

This was the worst fast food restaurant Ive ever been to. The onion rings I ordered were hard, dry and sweet. Onion rings shouldnt be sugary. The burger had a piece of hair on it, which was absolutely disgusting. The childrens meal was overpriced for what you got and the service took too long. I will never return to this location again. Stay as far away as you can from here!

So let me tell you something. This Sonics has some interesting people working there. It can be difficult to order something here and get what you want because Ive ordered and got something completely different a couple of times. Just make sure you are clear on your order. The quality hasnt been great and now that I am writing this review I dont plan on going back.

This place used to be fast... Now they are so slow... I dont understand why I have to wait 10 minutes for you too bring me a cup of ice... You walk up to the window and order, they are slow, drive-thru= slow, car hop= slow... Do I have to call on my order of a cup of ice to get faster service?

Today they were fast, most days they are slow as molasses and there is one girl that i always get attitude from and it makes me not want to go at all. Unfortunately theres Ionly a handful of places I can choose from on my lunchbreak at work that i can go to in a timely manner.

First of all , I love Sonic`s foods . but this place is the worst ever . their food are ALWAYS COLD even the french fries ! they don`t even bother to warm it ! on top of that you wait for 15 minutes to get your order ! terrible employees and management .

I read the other comments below. Dont listen to them. Its fast food, if you want perfection go to a restaurant. The food was hot and fast. The homemade onion rings were great. The woman who served us was nice and returned with ketchup promptly when asked.
