June 22, 2017 came here for the very first time ever and wanted to use our gift card for dinner. Got there while it was pouring rain, I had to run and carry both of my kids because it was raining so hard and the hostess (younger girl with very long dark hair) busted out and laughed when my 4 year old was trying to get the rain off his face....it wasnt funny. Then she sat us, obviously didnt inform the waitress we were sat and 15 min goes by. Two other tables were sat and their waitress came over and apologized to us and said, you guys havent been helped yet, have you?? We said no, so she said she would find out what was going on. Next thing we know, the immature dark hair hostess came over with an attitude like we were a bother to her, and asked what we wanted to drink. Then almost 10 min later, another girl brings our drinks and apologized for such a long wait, said there was miscommunication and told us She was our waitress. She was nice, polite and friendly. And it wasnt crazy packed or busy, there were no waiting lines to be seated, but it still took a very long time to get our food. When it arrived, we had to wait again for silverware thanks to the hostess not doing her job!! But the corn fritters tasted like cold pan cake balls, the mashed potatoes tasted like a very dry version of KFC instant mashed potatoes, the sweet potato fries tasted hard and raw in middle. The only thing that tasted good was the meat and Texas toast. We couldnt wait to get out of there, HOWEVER, it took another 20 min waiting to get the bill!!! For this being our first time there, how we were treated, had to wait, and the quality of the side items, I have no choice but to rate this a one star!

Well I finally tried the best BBQ joint Downriver, open a few years now, the following of BBQ lovers are flowing into this very cool Diner type Rib joint. We tried a combo platter with ribs, chicken, sausage and pulled pork. We upgraded to the all white chicken with the breast for a buck. Combo comes with 2 sides and bread, we had the mac & cheese and baked beans. Also orders a side off smoke wings and the stuffed twice baked tater skins. The best ribs Ive eaten downriver slow smoked 14 hours with a nice pink smoke ring as they should be made, almost fall off the bone with full smoked flavor and your choice of 5 sauces on the table, my faves the roundhouse and carolina. The chicken wings WoW are so good with the smoked flavor of Hickory wood and the stuffed tater skins the Ive ever had load with beef brisket and smoked ham topped with a double cured cheddar cheese, a must have. The chicken breast very juicy with the smoke ring, the pulled pork super with some of the sauces slathered on. The smoked sausage blah, mac and cheese needs help, baked beans plain with a little meat. The beef brisket on chuck super juicy the other dry, needs to be dipped in an sauce prior to plating up. The just started breakfast which well try very soon. I highly recommend this for all downriver and those just driving thru. On the corner of West road and Jefferson makes it easy to find. There working on having a great beer selection, now just got New Holland brewing in along with many others.

1. Road in front and along side were closed to vehicle traffic. 2. Approximately a dozen customers in the place, they seated us promptly, took 10 minutes for water, another 15 minutes for someone to take order after a regular customer went and found a staff member to take order. 3. Ordered sampler platter for 2. The good: Nice presentation, all the food was cooked perfectly as far as very tender, and not bloody or pink. The sides mashed potatoes, gravy, mac and cheese, corn bites deep fried were delicious. The bad: Everything tasted horrible, as if it was all soaked in vinegar for a week, and cooked in vinegar, then a vinegar based sauce gave it an overall taste like ass! The sausage is the only thing I would ever order, it was excellent. Summary..... If you want aggravation getting to a place, and then want to be ignored, before getting food that is enough to gag you, this is the place for you! AVOID Round House BBQ

Round House BBQ has been a favorite of my wife and I for a while. By now, we are regulars since we frequent here often. The service is great and so is the food. Most of the time, I get the Round House Wrap w/ chicken and my wife gets the pulled pork sandwich. The mac n cheese is our must-have side, even at the additional cost! Usually we get lemonade, with grenadine added for a cherry twist to it. Located just north of Elizabeth Park, its location is convenient for either a lunch before a nice stroll in the park or a nice dinner after. Inside the restaurant, taking a left, youll find the bar located in a festive seating area with a tall ceiling (with painted clouds) but if you take a right toward the kitchen, youll find a quaint booth-only area that has been newly renovated with high-back booths.

Round House is SOLID, the service is friendly and the food is a good value. Youre not likely to be disappointed. My deep and respectful apologies, however, but glowing apologists of the Round House need to explore the area more. If youre willing to travel downtown both Slows and Red Smoke offer better food and atmosphere. Zingermans in Ann Arbor has excellent BBQ as well. Downriver, however, Round House is tough to beat. The ribs are very well done and the pulled pork is also very good. The skillet jalapeño cornbread stands well above and beyond anyone in the area, including Slows, Red Smoke, and Zingermans. Skip the peach cobbler, though I may be highly biased here because Ive never found commercial peach cobbler which is even palatable compared to my mothers.

We decided to give this restaurant a try since we recently moved to the area and we love BBQ. We ordered the sampler platter for two with mac and cheese, fries, and another side I cant recall. The brisket was pretty dried out and overcooked, same with the ribs. The chicken and sausage were probably the saving grace of the meats. The mac and cheese didnt taste like much which was pretty disappointing. Then once we got our bill, the price of the platter was $2 more expensive than what was listed in their menu. We didnt bother to complain considering we were waiting for the bill for at least 10 minutes after getting a box for the leftovers and didnt feel like waiting any longer. I dont think well be returning again.

The Ribs are good but the sides could be bigger and a better variety. I ordered a carryout recently and ordered the mashed potatoes as the sides. Ordered two servings that were small enough to be combined into one of the single serving containers. There was literally a small scoop about the size of a medium meatball in each container. better off grabbing your sides from KFC, much more reasonably priced and portions...and then grab your meats here. Infact I normally buy and make all my sides at home because thats where they hustle you... can of baked beans for $1.65 thats about 4-6 portions vs $2.00 for a super small portion thats kid size they offerhere
