Didnt like 1 thing about it. I thought I was the only one with a bad experience at this location! After reading online, its obvious this place doesnt appreciate their customers! The last time I ate there, a couple weeks ago, it was not fun. We were seated. After being seated, we sat there for around 10 minutes before ANYONE came to our table!? Once our waitress FINALLY came, she was not friendly, seemed like she was being bothered by taking our order and had better things to do. So, she takes our order and disappears. Didnt see her again!? Fast forward 31 minutes. YES, 31 MINUTES later we get our food. It was cold, looked like it was sitting around all afternoon and was terrible! After 1 or 2 bites, we decided we were NOT eating this garbage. Called the boss over "Sam" if I remember correctly was his name. We explained or unfriendly/unattending waitress, the long wait time, the cold food etc and that we were leaving. He started with a major attitude saying we had to pay, we ate the food blah, blah blah. NOT QUITE, we literally ate TWO bites!! We get up to leave and this clown is actually trying to get in our path to block us and not let us leave! He actually called us A-holes!? At this point, I exploded. I admit, I cussed him up one side and down the other. I also told him he had 5 seconds to move out of my way or I would move him and he wouldnt like how I do it. Needless to say, he backed off, moved out of the way and we left. Never again. I wouldnt eat there if it was the last place on earth! How can a business treat/talk to people like that???

Walking in the restaurant I felt a terrible vibe the guy asked me if I was doing a carry out I said no I want to dine in and eat he had the nerve to tell me I had a half hour to eat so I asked him why and he goes over and talks to some other guy and comes up with an excuse saying they will close I said u guys close at 12 mind u I walked in at 10:30 so me and my friend we sit down to order we had gotten are glass of water he didnt ask if I wanted something else to drink other than water the cups were filthy dirty and had brown stuff all on it so Im thinking like okay maybe I should go and Im not welcomed here because Im half black they never once came and checked on us they were all sitting in by the bar smoking hookah my friend had to constantly go up to them which was ridiculous as hell. So Im eating my food and I asked for more garlic bread he said Im sorry I cant ur half hour is up and we closed are kitchen down so I look at him like the looks they kept giving us and they made the bread I had my eye on him like a hawk swear on everything they are very racist middle eastern men. Just saying you cant be rude and disrespectful to a welcoming customer the people that keep your business going if it wasnt for us Americans this business would not be running . U cant be rude to just anyone just because I look black does not mean that I am terrible never going here again.

a lot of these reviews are fake!! Notice the repeated themes ("leftovers") and general statements about quality. About on par w/ middle eastern prices and portion sizes. Maybe a little more expensive than but not worth avoiding. Certainly enough for one person who isnt used to the "American" portion sizes. Really, probably 2 people with smaller appetites could eat a single entree. Quality isnt consistent but that goes for almost any restaurant; the only thing that differs from restaurant to restaurant is how often they get it right which is about 50:50 here. It really depends on how picky you are. Bar and fruit smoothies like a lot of middle eastern places. Atmosphere is actually pretty nice. But what really gets me is the service. . . hit or miss and a lot of times, miss. The bathrooms have worked whenever Ive gone there (not the case for other unfortunate reviewers) but a lot of times my order is wrong (food is good but wrong food, not so much) and getting someone to stop by your table is an expedition. Overall, better places out there. Service sucks, so get carry-out but check your order before you go!! They have a Groupon which is why Im reviewing this now but I would pass b/c its dine-in only and it doesnt apply to the super combo which is basically dinner for two at most mid-east places which I like to get when I try out new ones.

I read some of these reviews and Im disgusted at how rude and ignorant people can actually be! This is the first Mediterranean restaurant I ever tried and I fell in love with the food. The chicken kafta, shwarma and rice are so good. The price is amazing for all the food you get and one meal serves me and my 3 daughters with leftovers! My service isnt always great but mainly because I order take out, sometimes they seem disorganized,but overall I get waited on, get my food, and it tastes great. I recently tried another Mediterranean restaurant in Rochester..I was shocked at how different and disgusting their food was to me. I will stick with what I know, this one here. As for the customer who gave 1 star, everyone is entitled to their opinion, shame on her if she embellished the truth. However to the server who posted afterwards..you are very unprofessional to have done so! Working in customer service is hard and sometimes we deal with a lot of jerks, but if you have done nothing wrong then let it go. Hold your head up high and keep doing an excellent job. Dont stoop down to their level...it makes you no better than her!

I am kind of shocked at the ratings others have given this restaurant. Yes, it is very nice on the inside. We went in on a slow afternoon to get some carry out. 1.The service looked to bored to help take the order, they got half of it wrong. I order Kabab (beef chunks) they gave me Kofta (minced beef), I ordered lentil soup they gave me some bland bean soup they I didnt recognize. And forgot my grape leaves in the carry out order. MY FAULT for not looking to make sure. 2. Bread - basic arabic bread that they tout as freshly made was overbaked to the consistency of dried parchment and had the nerve to charge for it. First Arab restaurant Ive ever seen charge for bread. 3. Chicken Kabob was meager and tasteless and overdry. Tabbouli was passable. 4. Small take out order - L O N G wait and put off to get home to THIS. Clearly they put a lot of money in decor and not enough effort into service or quality, particularly if you know your Arabic food. Save your money and find another go to Arabic spot like La Marsa that serves Egyptian style ME food.

Worst service ever!! I will Try to make this as short as possible. Called in a carryout and was given wrong food. My sister & I had already driven to my moms house when we realized so I called Sahara to let them know. 1st I was put on hold twice for about 5 minutes then hung up on! Then when I finally spoke to them he pretty much was telling me "slow down honey slow down dont talk like this with me" All I said was we ordered a carryout and we dont have the right food. He then proceeds to yell across the room to a girl in the background questioning her then saying to me what do you want me to do huh... its done...you wanna bring it back if not cannot help you. I proceeded to say I really did not call to be screamed at maybe just a IM sorry would have been fine. he says I dont owe you nothing "who you think you are" some girl jumps on phone cussing me out ....I swear this sounds like its not true but I swear it happened!!!! no customer service class or any sense of how a business should be ran!!!!
