We had our first visit here for lunch around 12:45pm on a Saturday. My friend had a $50 gift card she had won (more on that at the end). We were greeted and seated right away. The server came to bring water and ask if we wanted any other drinks right away. I wish I got his name! He was on top of everything and friendly. He answered questions about the menu and went to ask an ingredient detail he was unsure of. I ordered the Esquites with chicken (minus onion), which was delicious. My friend got the IHRO Salad which she was also very happy with. The atmosphere was nice and it was an all around positive experience! The manager? also came by during our meal to see if everything was ok with our meal! So about the gift card... my friend had won over a year ago at the Oakland County Sheriffs Golf Outing & she handed it to the server to pay. The manager? came back to ask about the card. Apparently something wasnt activated properly, so he couldnt even find a record of it. We asked if they expired? No, they dont. He came back again after checking and said that it wasnt in their records, but he would activate it himself and honor it anyway! That was awesome. He did not have to do that. Needless to say, lunch only used up half of the card, so we still have another $25 to use next time. I cant wait to try something else. This is a great place to have a nice meal. Its also not too noisy like some places Ive been. 5* stars for Iron Horse!

The food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The menu is small but everything Ive had has been very tasty. I recommend the tofu tacos. Drinks are awesome. Their signature drinks are $8-12. Both the Mexican Mule and the Kentucky Mule are great. The atmosphere is comfortable and polished. They did a great job with the decor. The wood paneling and lighting make it seem warm and intimate. The music is a little loud at times, but they have a good soundtrack, so I cant really complain. The front/bar area is a little cold during the winter, but the dining area is warm. On a Friday/Saturday or any other busy night I would recommend calling ahead because Iron Horse is a small (53 seat) restaurant.

Hostess is unfriendly and difficult to say the least, have to really get aggressive while here in order to get seating. Otherwise, once seated (if you are able, parties of more than 2 will find it challenging) there are great food options, and if you are at the bar Christian is great and will recommend palatable cocktail options to suit individual taste - also, has a great bourbon selection to choose from.

We went here for brunch and got placed into the section where you basically needed a flashlight to see (I have no idea why super dim lighting in the morning is such a big trend). I ordered the nutella French toast and it only came with 2 banana slices, which is kind of disappointing. Drinks and service were great though. Looking to go back to hopefully get better food during not brunch hours.

Iron Horse is probably our favorite part of going to the adjacent Royal Oak Music Theatre. Upscale bar fare (so, fancy tacos and pizza) with craft cocktails and a decent selection of craft beer both on tap or in bottles. Plus, if youre going to a show at the theatre, you can see the line outside from most tables. Much nicer to sit inside and have a drink than stand out in the cold.

Brunch was simply incredible, from pleasant atomosphere to the bottomless mimosas with fresh orange juice, to the stuffed avacados sprinjled with bacon, we left feeling full but not overly stuffed and extremely content! Our waitress was also very friendly and on top of refilling our mimosas, which of course is key! We will be back for sure, keep up the great work!

This place always treats us super well. Great cocktails and food - pizza and tacos and burgers, but done just right. Interesting specials. Great whisk(e)y selection. Music like from my own Pandora/Spotify playlist. Staff is always super nice and accommodating. We usually make it out once a week, and weve been coming since they opened

Service was good but the food just wasnt all that great. I had the wet burrito my girlfriend has enchiladas and aside from being served cold it was pretty boring. If your going for drinks and bar munchies its alright but I wouldnt place this place on a must go to list. The bar area is really small in the front as you walk in.

Very good tacos. The place feels industrial but when dark has a dimly lit warm feeling. The service was not too attentive despite being half full on a weekday night, but were generally friendly. The menu is pretty simple but everything seems to be thoughtfully put together. The tacos were very good, as are the pizzas.

Comprehensively go-to place round the corner from work. Without exception food, service and attitude and have been spot on ! Best damn pizza Ive had in ages. All working there have been a pleasure to interact with. Co-workers and I are constantly over there, and glad to be so.

Very nice atmosphere and great location. OK food. Mediocre, disinterested waitstaff. Ive heard people swear by the tacos. Ive had them. Theyre OK. Not bad, but not anything that will impress a foodie. I might go back, but with expectations lowered.

Delicious Mexican breakfast food!! Dad and I shared the steak and eggs tacos and huevos rancheros and both were fantastic. The spicy salsas and sauces are fantastic! The blanche and tropic thunder were my faves. Great flavour but quite spicy!

Got the chicken tortilla soup, the soup wasnt bad but I paid $6 for about 10 bites of it and this was supposed to be my whole lunch. I got charged for a bowl and got the amount of a cup. The least you could do was fill the bowl even halfway.

I had the steak taco and shrimp taco. I would rate the steak taco 4 stars and the shrimp 2 based on their taste and prices. $4.50 per taco seemed a bit high when I could go down the street and get a taco for $2.50 that is equally delicious.

My favorite little pub. The "Angry Ginger" drink is a phenomenon as well as the pickle infused vodka in their bloody Mary. Food is a mix, Burgers, Mexican with a twist. Music usually a little loud, but Im old.

Happy Hour drink selection was fair and decently priced, $6 margaritas. Had the chips and queso, the queso had a strong onion flavor which queso shouldnt have. Chicken enchiladas were delicious though.

You are paying for the atmosphere here. The food is OK. Nothing was really a home run here, but be seen. You can order regular margaritas here. Not listed on the menu.

Came here recently for brunch. Been in for dinner once before as well. Very good craft cocktails and fantastic food. Brunch portions were much larger than I anticipated.

The atmosphere and service was fantastic. Very friendly. The place had a real NYC vibe to it which was pretty cool. The chicken tortilla soup was top notch.
