I just visited Royal Oak location last night. My husband and I have been there before and never had any issues. Yesterday however, when we walked in it was very slow and there were two people working. One person walked out when me and another couple were waiting to be helped. This left only the young lady by herself to help us all and run the cash register. We stood there for about 15 minutes before we were waited on. Finally three other employees showed up, one from in the back and two from outside. The young lady took our order and was very polite. When we were waiting to be cashed out a gentlemen (Timothy) who walked from outside back into the store was on his phone the whole time while up front. The young lady actually had to yell at him to get off his phone to help us. When he finally helped we could tell he was high and was not paying attention to anything or anyone. I was extremely irritated with this whole situation since we probably waited a total of 25 minutes for our pizza to be made and there was only one couple in front of us. Not to mention Timothy dropped the utensil to pull the pizzas out on the floor and was standing in the corner on his phone drinking a pop after we finally sat down to eat(there were other customers waiting after us). The young lady was extremely polite and very helpful but all the work was on one person and I thought it was VERY rude that Timothy sat on his phone while handling my food and working, not to mention unsanitary since we wasnt wearing gloves and I didnt see him wash his hands once. Great food but this time was a terrible experience with service, minus the young lady.

I LOVE Blaze, but I do not love this location. It seems that the employees are very poorly managed. Every time Ive been here, it takes forever, seems understaffed, and they dont utilize the efficient assembly line that is used in the Allen Park location. The first time I went here, one of the employees harassed me, asking for my number and refusing to just take my card and let me pay. There were other guests waiting behind me and it was very uncomfortable. Last time, there was one girl making all of the pizzas, and one guy cooking the pizzas in the oven, so I stood at the register for 10-15 minutes waiting to pay. When I finally got to pay, I had a free beverage as a reward on my Blaze app. I scanned it, and the drink (that I wouldnt have gotten had I not had the reward) didnt come off the receipt. I asked the employee that checked me out and he only said "oh yeah, I dont know something is wrong with the system. I can ask my manager when she gets back." No one mentioned another thing to me, but the reward came off my app and I didnt receive credit for that pizza on my app. The employees are typically very polite, but something needs to be done to improve the wait time here.

I love Blaze. Love it. They are a THIN CRUST pizza, just so you know what to expect. I love the flavor of their gluten free pizzas (I choose them for flavor even though I have very little sensitivity to gluten), I love that I can STACK lots of meats and vegetables and seasonings all over my pizza, I love the people there (everyones been super fun / nice so far), and I also enjoy the environment. It can get a little loud if there are a lot of people or larger groups, and the lines can get long. Sometimes, its worth calling ahead to see what the wait is right before you pop in. But theyre pretty efficient too, so if you want a custom thin crust pizza with outstanding flavors: this is the place. Maybe people describe them as the "Chipotle" of pizza. =) Cant be a bad thing.

We have been coming here 2-3 times a month since it opened. Almost always the food and service has been good. With the last two visits two issues have developed: 1. There is no way a pizza is baked in 180 seconds. 5 minutes is more accurate. Totally a first world problem. 2. For the second time in a row Tim attempted to serve me a pizza that was carbon burned halfway around. Not just over-baked but certifiably burned. As in easy to see burned. Why would he do that? Then I had to wait for another to pizza to be prepared and baked. Instead of apologizing for the delay, etc just he just flopped the new one on the counter and went onto the next pizza. I dunno, but I dont like the trajectory of this...

One girl who made my pizza was stingy with cheese and everything wasnt properly spread out. There were 4 people here and all of them didnt look like they didnt want to be there. My pizza that I got one night was good and delicious because there were two people working and they didnt slack off and made me and my company feel satisfied. They were actually nice and didnt sound like they were forcing theyre kindness on me. Overall my first experience was great, it was a slow weekend night, as for my second, could very well be my last. I wanted to rate this place 0/5 but because of those two workers I gave this place a two star rating.

This place has no concept of customer service. I didnt quite get to eating the pizza. I asked the woman on the phone if they can take a phone order, she said "yes." After placing me on hold for 10 minutes, then taking my order, this uncivilized, ghetto, moron manager gets on the phone to tell me that the woman on the phone "dint aks me [be] fore she dun took yo orda." I received no apology after this statement, neither for the wait nor the indecipherable English. Apparently, "he be the manager." I dont believe I will be eating at the Royal Oak location anytime soon.

For the 3rd time I was disappointed. Ive never seen employees that work slower. The toppings werent spread out even, and there was barley any cheese. Then they literally burned the pizza, and it was sitting outside on the counter for another 10 min. til they finally cut it. The pizza was barley warm anymore. I insisted to get a new one which took another 10 min. Honestly that happened 3 times!! Ill never go back there. The employees didnt seem to care. Save your money guys.

My first order was missing two toppings. I told the front person and 3 minutes later he returned with the same pizza but with the cold toppings thrown on. I asked for it to be remade, but instead he put it back into the oven which burnt it (its an extremely thin crust). Thats three mistakes in a row! I asked for a refund as I didnt even eat a bite of the pizza. The manager did come over and apologized and made me pizza.

I was the first customer of the day and had to make sure that they were open to public when I wandered into the store at 10:57am on a Friday morning. Unfortunately, we do not have anything like Blaze within an hour of where I live in Tampa which is why I always insist on eating here when I am back home in Michigan. Friendly staff who understood my food allergies and made me a great pie to kick the day off with!
