Ill start off with the good, our server was excellent and very attentive, and their water was cold and watery... which is nice. Thats the only good things I could come up with. Their cheese sticks were ok, although Jets bread will give you more bang for your buck. Their deep dish is a joke, they up the price a dollar from the regular pizza and all that changes is that you get a thicker, mediocre at best, crust. To call it a deep dish is an insult to all other deep dish pizzas, including Little Caesars deep dish (which is better than this pizza). The sauce was barely noticeable and when you did get a taste of it, it was bland. The cheese was pretty flavorful and I can only assume it came preshredded in a bag. Honestly the only thing good on the pizza were the toppings. I could have gone to Meijer and grabbed an off brand frozen pizza that would have tasted better than this. Overall the pizza was very average. It didnt taste horrible or anything, I was just extremely unimpressed with it, Especially after hearing excellent reviews about it from social media and friends of mine. I dont see what they see I guess, and if this is some kind of joke I dont get it. There are a TON of better pizza places in South East Michigan, I wouldnt waste your time here. P.S. If you have kids, or like to have conversation or like to hear yourself think, DONT sit by the kitchen window. The cooks are extremely loud and unprofessional using very colorful words that would make a sailor proud. P.S.S. Mind the pile of puke just outside the front door on your way out.

Its a very busy place, which was fine, & if you love trivia during your meal & can overlook terrible pizza sauce, oily salad dressing, & a musty smelling bathroom, this might be the place for you. The cheese bread and ranch dressing were good, everything else was mediocre at best. The antipasto salad has such large chunks of meat & cheese on it, most bites are either all meat & cheese or all lettuce & onion. The dressing is incredibly oily, even when moving it as we were pouring, it still tasted like pure oil on the lettuce. The pizza sauce literally tasted like tomato paste with a tiny bit of seasoning. My husband and I were only able to choke down one piece of pizza each before we lost our appetite. Lastly, aside from it being pretty dark & dingy inside the while restaurant, when I went to the ladies room, it also had a fairly noticeable musty smell. Im allergic to mold very have been sneezing since we went there. I know people seem to love them, but our excellence it is not worth the wait or the price.

Pizza is OVERRATED. Green Lantern claims to be the best pizza in town, but it doesnt come close. The dough is nothing special, sauce is thick and pasty. They do not use quality cheese or toppings. The atmosphere is terrible. The tables are so close together that the back of my chair was touching the chair behind me and the chair next to me. There is not enough room to sit comfortably (and Im thin). The restaurant is dark with no natural light coming in. There was no music on, but the TVs were blaring loudly. Instead, I would recommend Louis Pizza on Dequindre north of 9 mile. Sila on 12 mile west of Coolidge has great pizza as well.

We have gone to Green Lantern reluctantly over the years - attracted by the excellent pizza but repelled by the haze of smoke. Not anymore! With Michigans recently imposed smoking ban Green Lantern is a delight for people who love pizza, and for those who love to breathe. Last time we were there (two weeks ago) we got a basic pizza with green pepper and pepperoni and a side salad. The side salad is ample for two hungry people. The pepperoni is great - it comes out of the oven a little-bit crispy (I dont think they are exceptionally greasy, but I guess grease comes with the territory), just the way I like them.

I dont see what everyone is raving about with Green Lantern Pizza. I ordered one last night expecting something "great" based on the reviews and it was mediocre at best. Just your average bar pizza, no better than MR. Bs for instance. Not even close to Louies or Buddies. My girlfriend didnt like it at all. Ate one piece and suggested we throw the rest away. I stopped her since we payed $20 for it. I didnt think it was as bad as she did but I would never call it "great" or even "good" Can someone please tell me what is suppose to be so awesome and delicious about this pizza?

This is a Royal Oak/Madison Heights classic, as many know. Usually we go here for take-out because the place is kinda small and it can get claustrophobic sometimes when theyre very busy. Not uncommon to have a line all the way out the door on a Friday or Saturday night, with combination of people waiting for tables and carry-out. We love that its greasy pizza! Been going here for years and love the little pools of grease on the pepperoni! So delicious! Underrated item: their Italian subs! Only sub I know with cole slaw on it!

Solid pizza joint. The interior has a nice dive bar feel. Multiple TVs for sports. Long bar. Not a huge amount of seating. Came here for a work outing and it was kind of crammed in the corner, so it isnt the best for large groups but otherwise its fine. The pizza was good. Just solid, good pizza. They have a pretty large beer selection including some local beers. All in all this is a good place to visit and certainly wont be a waste of your evening.

Just moved to town from Texas (what was I thinking)... been here for 21 days, been there 3 times!! Great pizza! Very good salads, cheese bread and cold beer! The chicken wings were average. I also like how they have a fresh popcorn if you are just there to hang out and drink a few beers. the popcorn is free of charge. Everyday I think about the Green Lantern. Staff is good too.

Pizza was only decent. The sauce being quite great and the rest standard. I like my veggies chopped small and I requested that, my waitress said she will ask but they might say no. Sure enough it came out unchopped and she apologized saying they just wont do it. A restaurant that refuses to accommodate a customer with something so trivial is not a restaurant I will return to.

Best pizza in town! Please go in knowing that this place is a dive bar. The kitchen is small, so yes, when they get busy theyll get in the weeds. The wait for food is worth it though! I love the lantern bread! The bbq chicken pizza (deep dish) is phenomenal. And if you dont feel like waiting for a table, the takeout is always equally as good!

I am in love with this place. I come all the way from toronto to have this amazingness. Their lantern breads are divine when paired with the garlic butter. One of the best pizzas i have had ever and i eat a lot of it. Today, I was served by Amber, what great energy!! Always a pleasure to visit. Definitely coming back again...
