Until recently, I always enjoyed dinner here; the steaks were good, the ribeye was excellent, and the decor is quite interesting. Lately, though, it seems like either the quality of the ingredients or the cooking has gone down a lot. On my most recent visit, I ordered a rare ribeye steak and a baked potato. The baked potato was a baked potato, which is to say that I piled it high with all of the toppings it came with and enjoyed it, but the steak was one of the more disappointing pieces of meat Ive eaten recently. For a rare steak, it had a remarkable amount of grey when I cut into it and very little juice. What juices there were seemed to be only what came along when it was pulled out of the pan, and the middle of the steak was only light pink, rather than the rich red color I had expected from "rare". Ive been pleasantly surprised by steaks coming out on the rare side of rare before, but this was on the well done side of medium. Unfortunately, the replacement was the same as the first one. Im not sure if its because the steak was broiled rather than fried or grilled (why were there grill lines on a broiled steak?) or if the meat had been frozen, but I didnt finish it. The service staff were nice enough to comp the steak, but I usually hope to enjoy the main entree as much as the side. If I find myself there again, Ill try a burger instead, but the steaks are not as good as I remembered.

I have been there three time for carry out. On two occasions I ordered a Maurice Classic Salad. It was not bad. Service in the past has been helpful and pleasant. The third time I ordered the same however, it was a waste of money. Service wasnt as good as previous visits. Most people dont like to feel like they are an inconvenience to staff. But the real problem was the food - $12.00 for a bowl of lettuce. Thats enough to post a less than positive review and not return. Food preparation isnt rocket science and a salad is simply mixing ingredients. Charging for a variety of meats and cheese characteristic of a Maurice Salad, and leaving out everything but the lettuce is unacceptable. It puts this place in a league with many other restaurants that cant figure out what drives customers away.

When my son and I arrived we were told there was about a 10-15 minute wait. We sat in the comfortable chairs they had near the bar and the pool tables and looked at the menu. A friendly waitress asked if she could get us some drinks while we played a free game of pool waiting for our table. During our game the hostess told us our table was ready, very near to the pool tables. We finished our game and went to our table. Torrey took our order and the food came out quickly. The BBQ combo was amazing. A large half chicken and a half rack of ribs. Both were cooked to perfection. The roasted redskin potatoes were also delicious. We will definitely be back and we recommend this place to everyone.

My family and I just had dinner here for the 2nd time. The food was delicious and the environment was certainly lively. The decor is that of a hunting cabin which I like because its different than most other restaurants. I had the Buffaloaf, wife had the Monterey Chicken (todays special) with a Cucumber Margarita and my daughter had their classic baked Mac and Cheese. It was all very tasty. Sadly, I only grabbed a picture of my dinner. The other two had started on wolfing it down lol. No food survived.

We went here for my moms birthday dinner and everything was great! I had the Buffaloaf (buffalo meatloaf) it was great! 2 thick slices of meatloaf with mashed potatoes in between on served open faced on a slice of white bread covered with buffalo gravy, mushrooms and sautéed onions. Best Ive ever had and I dont say that lightly! Renee was a great server, very attentive! They gave us warm chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven for my moms birthday, no charge. No complaints from our party of 4.

The food was great and they did a great job managing our large group. However, I didnt appreciate the impression I got from the staff that we were being a "disturbance." Yes, we were a large group and yes, we were loud, but the place was packed and loud in general we gave them a LOT of business. I would recommend they speak to their hostesses and servers about not being so blatantly put out. They got a generous tip that night...

This place has a rustic feel -- see video. Everything feels grande. Its is a great place to eat burgers and have a beer. Their drink selection is pretty good and the menu has a ton of choices. Everyone I was with raved about their burgers but I tried the Brie and apple grilled cheese. I was not disappointed. The prices were very reasonable for a place like this. I would come back here when I am in a mood for a hearty meal.

Nice place, wife and I visit occasionally but not as often as we could. Primary reason, the menu (including the "specials") has not changed since the dawn of time! Caprese salad and mushroom soup are good as are many menu items but they never, ever seem to change. Otherwise, service is decent and the prices are in line with the quality. As a local we just grow tired of it because its been the same for years and years.

Great Place! Our hiking club descended on the Deadwood, without but an hour notice. there were 22 of us! We dont normally have that many people, and we try to call ahead of time, but with just an hour notice, at noon lunch time and on a Sunday, they accommodated all of us with smiling faces! We all ate and drank and everyone was happy and pleased! My hats off too all of you at Deadwood Bar and Grill! Very impressive!

The atmosphere was pleasant. A bit dark with a rustic feel. The staff was friendly and attentive though eager to box everything when taking a moment to "let you food move" or have some conversation with your dinner partner. The food was good (the sides items were cold) but the meat was very good and plentiful. Pretty pricey for the average working Joe. Not a bad experience; not fantastic either.

What an amazing find this place was, went on a Friday evening with my family. We were on a trip, staying in a local hotel and wanted something local and unique...we found it in the Deadwood. Incredible service, food, and a fun atmosphere...youll never get anything like this at a chain resturant. Highly recommended!! Try a steak or the prime rib, you cant go wrong!

Been going here at least 1/month for about 2 years almost every Wednesday evening. Last week they screwed up my wifes order, she mentioned it to staff. The manager [Renee] came over, swapped out dinner , took price off the bill...then gave us a nice gift certificate...cant wait to go back.? They do a great job and the place is very cool and casual.

Went on July 4th with my family and had overcooked, dry fried chicken, okay bbq ribs, bland cornbread, tough steamed veggies, very cheesy walleye with chips sprinkled on top (it was supposed to be breaded), and an alright pulled bbq chicken sandwich. Overall it was pricey and the food was alright. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing.
