This restaurant is an all time favorite of my sister-in-law and her family. They go there every time they have a birthday. I always make an effort to attend these important personal milestones because I love them so much but., after doing this for so many years I have learned my lesson........... always EAT BEFORE I GO THERE. All of my prior experience was the food was ALWAYS COLD. The food had little flavor, if any, and sometimes tasted almost foul or sour. The service was very slow and the server seemed disconnected, as if in another world! IE; We asked for more water......waited a while, asked again.... "Oh, oops I forgot". We asked for more Chips and Salsa.....waited, asked again....."Oops, I forgot". We asked for our Spanish rice to be reheated, it was so cold.....never saw it again. The decor is a weak representation of the Southwest/Mexico, its just plain old LAME. The restaurant its filthy. All one needs to do is just take a moment to look around to see how filthy it is. Lots of dust on the decorations, splattered sauces/food on the walls and heres the cake topper, the carpet is so filthy that only those wearing a hazmat suit of protective clothing should come in contact with it. All n all, this restaurant reminds me of a bowling ally that has a sombrero hanging on the wall.

The food was decent, but I havent had service this bad in a long time. The poor service took away from me enjoying my food. There was no refills given on my moms lemonade or my water for the hour and half we stayed. This is especially bad for a Mexican restaurant, which seemed to have pretty good salsa. Granted I didnt get much chance to enjoy the salsa, because even though the waitress was nice enough to ask if we wanted more chips she never came back to give us more. I guess this is minor for free chips but it adds up. The worse was when my Moms soup came it had no spoon, a minor inconvenience but when she asked for a spoon from the waitress, she never came back so after my mom had to get up to find one. Im not sure if it waitress was having a bad day or was new (it certainty wasnt busy) , and I wouldnt reflect this review on the whole staff -- but I dont think Ill return here again.

Ive been coming here for 40 years. I love this place. Tonight was the first time Ive ever been questioned as to my amount of drink. The questioning came when I first sat down. I had just gotten off of work. Was told Im only allowed to have a certain amount of margaritas before I even ordered. A couple came in and sat down at the table next to me was not questioned about anything period and was served a 1 liter carafes of margaritas I was told they only serve half liters 2 a table of two. Im sure by now anybody reading this would assume I been drinking. When I say I just got off work I just got off work went grocery shopping and home changed out of my uniform and was all excited to spend a nice evening with my boyfriend. 40 years Ive been coming in here and never been treated so shabby.

First review Ive ever done... here we go: 1.) Made an 8PM reservation, sat down at 9PM at a table that was only big enough for 5 people out of the 7 that were in the reservation. 2.) Waiting area is only big enough for 2-3 people and the bar was full the entire hour we waited. 3.) It was my wifes birthday. Even after telling them this, they gave me/her nothing to make up for their mistake of letting my table go to another party. 4.) Immediately after we sat down, the waitress spilled beer and a lime on my shoulder and didnt offer me anything to clean it up with. 5.) The food rating is 6 out of 10... but be ready to repeat your order several times to the waitress before its made and when youre trying to pay so you can leave.

Ive been going to El Nibble Nook for about five years. Their food is always good, and the service is excellent. It says a lot about the atmosphere when you have been seeing the same waitstaff for years, and they are always in a good mood. Two things I want to point out: 1) My vegetarian friends love this place because theyve never gotten sick from the beans. It may sound odd, but many restaurants say their refried beans are vegetarian despite being made with lard. El Nibble Nook vegetarian options are actually vegetarian! 2) My spouse drinks a lot of water. A LOT. This place keeps his water glass full. Small things like that make El Nibble Nook a pleasure to return to.

This is NOT an authentic Mexican restaurant. The food is tasteless and came out cold. The salsa is more like tomatoe sause out of can and the rice tasted like uncle Bens 90 second rice. The waitress refused to bring us ice in our pop. Instead she brought us a glass of pop and when I asked wheres the ice, she responded with, who puts ice in their pop? The waitress was very rude when I simply asked her if we could shut the blinds since the sun was in my eyes. Then when she brought the food out, she threw the plates down on the table. I will never return to this restaurant and wont suggest it to another person. We were very dissatisfied.

This was the worst Mexican food and worst experience I have had at a restaurant. The food was so terrible that we didnt even eat it! The meat tastes like BBQ and has no fresh authentic taste what so ever. The waitress did not put our order in correctly, and could have cared less. We paid for our meal, and when asked to talk to the owner he was even worse. Didnt care at all about how unsatisfied we were with the food and the service. He merely told us to get out without so much of an apology. If you are looking for disgusting food and a disgusting staff go to this place.

Its interior is similar to one I have been in Mexico, so feels like its directly brought out of Mexico. Good staff and excellent atmosphere. There is room for improvement in food quality. I had an Enchiladas con Carne y Pollo with cheese. Everything on the dish tasted good but rice had an old smell to it which was a let down. I would definitely recommend trying it out. I will be visiting it in near future and will keep updating on the different dishes that I have tried.

I dont remember the last time i was treated this well in a restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. Very on top of my drink refills. The prices are quite fair as well, and the portions are very large. Everything tasted very fresh and the ground beef is absolutely amazing. The salsa, sides, and entree were all very good. The server even packed my leftovers for me. I definitely look forward to coming back and trying other dishes.

I had the beef taco salad during the week and it was to die for...however I ordered it again on Saturday and it was horrible!!! I asked our waitperson if the cook was the same one I had before and unfortunately......no!!! The taco shell was old and tuff and the tomatoes were not diced (huge chunks instead) and the lettuce was large pieces of romain...so depending on what day you go....you may get a "great" meal as you had in the past
