[UPDATE: DeBoer responded quickly to our poor experience at the bar and took steps to make it right. Thus, I have increased my review to 4 stars.] ORIGINAL: We are DeBoer regulars when were in town, and usually have a great experience here. But we just sat at the bar (12:10 on Mon 7/31) and the waitress serving the bar was both extremely inattentive and rude. We understand that it was busy, but we witnessed her, after acknowledging us, conversing with two other customers for no shorter than two consecutive minutes, perhaps five. I walked over and requested two menus, which she asked me to wait for. A few moments later I asked to put in our order, and she rudely snapped that she had a full bar to attend to and would be back. A full bar, yes—but one she appeared to be socializing with rather than serving. As we only had limited time for our last meal in Holland, and the waitress was extremely unfriendly, we decided to leave. I hope the standards for bar service will improve in the future.

This is about my favorite place in all of Holland...only Alpen Rose rivals it. Weve been picking food up from the Bakkerij for years, because the banketstaaf and pig-in-the-blankets are irresistible. All the other baked goods are great too. This summer we started going to the restaurant, and found out these folks know how to make good solid food too, at very reasonable prices. The french-toast-and-eggs thing (with some Dutch name I cant remember) was a bit weird for us, but the omelets, pancakes and so on were excellent. A lot of people dont know that you can buy the pigs pre-baked, to cook in your own oven on Sunday morning (when, as with most of Holland, the bakkerij is closed). Its well worth it. And BTW those pigs are really tasty with bbq sauce.

In a word? Outstanding. The one downside? The secret is out so everyone knows! As soon as you walk in youre hit with the smell of delicious baked goods. We ended up getting a seat at the counter (they are first come first serve, a good option if the restaurant is busy). The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I got that crab omelette, a pancake, and my husband got a bacon omelette - all were wonderful. To top it all off, Suzanne was our waitress and she was so nice! She provided excellent service. We will be coming back here!

da BEST place for breakfast in Holland. Pancakes are plate sized wonders, the service is spectacular (that is NOT an understatement) and the coffee is wonderful. They have an extensive breakfast menu, and with all the combinations, you could come here every day for six months and never repeat... oh, and did I say that the prices are great. I love this place.

This place deserves 4 stars, but they failed to deliver the authentic Dutch cuisine I expected. I went in search of appleflappen but found only apple turnovers. I hoped to dine on apple pannekoeken, but got two very large buttermilk pancakes with an apple compote. Still, its definitely worth a visit. The menus just a bit less Dutch than you might expect.

I love the environment of this place. It is literally family run, and you can tell. Everyone works together as a team, and they treat every customer like a cousin! You feel very welcomed! I love going there! And the food, there is not a lot of space to describe. Nothing like it! Everyone from all over the world needs to eat here once in their lifetime!

Delicious food! Perfect place to go to for Brunch if you dont mind waiting. But you can grab a coffee or baked good from the bakery section while youre waiting for your table, which helps. It can get very crowded on the weekends, with wait times exceeding 40 minutes, but thats a sign that theyre doing something right as everyone wants to eat there!

Had the corned beef hash and gravy and biscuits. Very delicious. All homemade and not outta the can. Corned beef hash was melt in your mouth good! Also new Amsterdam omelet was awesome. TONS OF THICK BACON! Plenty of avocado and tomatoes! Wife enjoyed the cold brew coffee but it wasnt as impressive for me. We would definitely come back!

This place is amazing! There was a long wait, but it was well worth it and besides, I think the wait speaks for the restaurant. We had the blue raspberry bliss cakes (pancakes with mascarpone cheese, blueberries, raspberries, and granola), Dutch potatoes, and eggs. Everyone working and dining there was extremely friendly. Go!

Love DeBoers! However, the Dutch Bakery found a way to become more Dutch. They are now charging for a to-go coffee. I frequent many breakfast spots and this is the first where they wanted to charge for a coffee to-go. I wouldnt even mind paying .25 for the cup but a whole new coffee, come one!

I would eat here every day if I could. Maybe alternate breakfast and lunch. There are unique items that you dont get everywhere. I recommend deBoers Bakery to our guests at Lake Ranch Resort and always receive rave reviews. Try it, you will not be disappointed. signed Bill at Lake Ranch Resort

Good food and service, sometimes so busy you have a longer wait but worth the wait. Our go to breakfast place to celebrate our grandchildren birthday with chocolate chip clompin cakes and pigs in a blanket, the Dutch deals are my go to, the Dutch potatoes are a treat. Highly recommended

This is the best Dutch Bakery in my experience, everything from Bonket to windmill cookies to black and white cookies are delicious and absolutely as they should be. The restaurant is very good, with a lot of hearty dutch-style dishes and some dutch takes on american classics.

I wish this place would be closer to my home,Id probably go here at least once a week to have breakfast. As a Netherlander it makes me feel at home, even as all the food is not all Dutch, it is very good. Any person from Europe would like this place.

My husband ate with you for the first time last month and we were thrilled! The entire experience was wonderful, in fact we ate there two days in a row! We live in Ohio and have decided to come up over Labor Day for your breakfast. We cant wait!

Great breakfast. Beware, the bakery side is closed Sundays... which really doesnt make much sense if they want to draw the pre- and post-church crowd. But the food is great! Massive menu with lots of selection, and I havent had a bad meal yet.

Really excellent food! Expect to wait a long time during peak (weekend brunch) times. Great coffee, great donuts/baked goods, quality breakfast staples like eggs, pancakes etc. Parking can be tough, so walk/ride a bike if its a busy time.

I would ask that you stay away, the place is getting too popular. Seriously, I hate waiting for breakfast and if you start going, that is just going to make the wait even worse. If you have to go, show up after 9 am, thats all I ask.

After eating the Klompen Cakes, regular pancakes from other restaurants seem ordinary. They are served hot off the grill and are a great meal. Coffee is excellent and the bakery has a lot to choose from. Service is top notch too.

I love the quality of food here! I especially like the cinnamon rolls but you need to get there early if you want one. Its a great restaurant with friendly servers! Its really busy on weekends but its worth the wait!
