The atmosphere is pleasant and friendly. My issue is the ribs. That is their signature dish yet I remain unimpressed. When my girlfriend and I went they initially told us that the "fall off the bone ribs" were all gone so we ordered the regular ribs. Fyi we each had the 2/3 slab. Then the waitress comes by and says they have one order left of the fall off the bone ribs. So we say yes bring it to my girlfriend. We get our salad and before we get more than 2 or more bites here comes the ribs. Okay fine. Anyhow both the dinners look identical I obviously got the fall off the bone order. So we switched. Mine was more like "gnaw off the bone" just sad for a place that specializes in ribs. We then got creme Brule for dessert. Horrible, it was basically ice cream with a topping. Not freshly prepared.

I love this place. The food here is delicious. Our family has added Champs to the rotation of restaurants we go to for dinner. In addition, there have been times when we have just ordered the take-out to eat at home. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the ribs are great. As a bonus the fries are very tasty. My 15 year old son who is eating everything in site actually gets filled up eating the burger (just to give you a reference of how big it is). Owners are always on-site and drop by your table (in a polite way) to make sure everything is satisfactory - which it has been each time we have eaten there. Now that it is warming up - cant wait to enjoy the patio!!

The food was decent but a bit pricey 4 chicken and burgers. The dark haired waitress we had was awful, tho another teenish blonde waitress in the same area was outstanding and more than made up for the terrible service (we had 2 ask 4 napkins and plates 4 our appetizers, then several times 4 silverware after our meal had already arrived, then 4 our drinks, then 4 the check, all multiple times!). I probably wont return, but the food was okay.

We have been going to Champs for several years...well since 1992. We have had precious few disappointments. Champs has a wide variety of items on their menu and everyone of them wonderfully delicious. The standouts we love are the fall off the bone ribs as well as the chicken snack. The fish is absolutely wonderful. By the way...you will be hard pressed to find a friendlier and more helpful staff!

The wait staff was seriously lacking in care. I asked for two things more than once that were never brought to the table. It seemed like there was a different server each time someone came to the table. Lots of staff, but not a lot of skill. Food was OK.

Food was okay, but the staff was awful. Got glaring looks and when a waiter brought us bread he threw it down on the table and stormed off. Food was also a bit over priced. Will not be going back.

Thought the prices where a bit high, ... Till I found another serving size of salmon, under my salmon. Gr8 place! Gr8 ambiance. Fire pit, patio, attentive bartender, owner that cares, all good!

THE best ribs on the east side. SOOOO much better than any smoked ribs that most of the other rib joints in town offer. Superb sauce and cottage fires. I just wish their prices were a bit lower.
