My family and I stopped here tonight based on the overall ratings for this restaurant. First off, we paid $68.00 for 2 kids spaghettis, a fish dinner and a single chicken breast dinner. So the prices were expensive in comparison to other restaurants. Once the food was delivered it looked like all four of us had ordered off of the kids menu because the portions were so small. Next, when I took my first sip of water the waitress came over and topped it off. Good start, however, that would be the last time any of us received a refill despite my wifes iced tea running out mid meal (my son and I also drank our water and never got a refill). My 6 year old daughter pointed out 2 cobwebs in the light fixture hanging right above our table. That is when I noticed they were on everything hanging from the ceilings. The family next to us kept having the air conditioning unit drip on their heads and shoulders throughout their meal. Lastly, we waiting about 10-15 minutes once we were done eating for our waitress to even bring us a bill. Poor dining experience and we would not recommend this place unless its your last option.

Maybe it was the fact it was the first weekend of the busy season. Maybe it was just lame excuses for laziness. It took us over 45 minutes to get our food (sat outside and ordered immediately). We were not the only people outside in this situation either... People had been just as long as us and some longer. Nothing like enjoying a nice day and wasting it feeling ignored by your waitress. At one point we were even telling people not to come here. All we got were excuses as to why things were taking so long with a half empty restaurant... Disappointing. The burger was mediocre at best... Looks like a lot better options around Glen Arbor. Dont waste your time or money on this stop.

We had lunch two times here and really loved the huge turkey sandwich, the soup of the day and the large bowl of wonderful black bean chili. The flavors were so good and complex that I thought this would be a good place to try cherry pie. Wrong. There weren’t many cherries, just mostly a cornstarch-thick filling and I can’t even begin to describe the crust. Not flakey at all, just weird. So I would avoid there pies and just enjoy everything else. And a note about the service. The first day it was unbelievably slow but the next time everything arrived in a normal timeframe so it must depend on who is working which day.

The best food in Glen Arbor. If theres one place you try in Glen Arbor, make it the Good Harbor Grill. This friendly family-owned restaurant has the nicest atmosphere Ive found and great food -- of course I come for the meal, but Im always delighted by their fresh-baked bread and the house salads that come with every entree. My favorite meal: Their house salad with cherry-balsamic vinaigrette, the secret-recipe chili (vegetarian or beef are equally good), followed up with a cream-puff to share (theyre big, so save room!).

One of the most amazing meals my husband (who is a chef by the way) or i have ever had. The salad we started with had a great cherry balsamic dressing.. not too sweet or tart. I had the basil pesto primavera with grilled chicken and it was extremely good. Nothing can compare to the cioppino though, one of the most amazing things either of us has ever eaten. Our server was the cherry on the sprinkles on the cake. I would recommend this place hands down to anyone. Fantastic.

One of the worst customer services ever. Multiple servers walked past & ignored to seat us, even when the restaurant was not busy (sign at the front door said Please Wait To Be Seated). Finally, after seating ourselves at the nearest booth, it took a long time for the server to even acknowledge us. She had the gull to ask if we were there to eat! Water was not refilled & the bathrooms were abysmal. The food was ok but the horrible service ruined the meal. NOT recommended!

This place is very popular so you may have to wait a few minutes but it is well worth it. My wife and I went for a late lunch after driving through the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Als was a mess so we walked a block down to the Good Harbor because we had never been there. The food was great, and the decore friendly and cozy with stained wood paneling, and a nautical theme. Not a burger joint, this is a place where you want to taste your food and smile.

Had a large group of 10. We were seated almost immediately. All of us were served within minutes of each other which is a challenge for a large group. Staff was courteous. Ingredients were fresh. My hubby and I had fish...whitefish and lake trout. The others had a variety off the menu. Apricot chicken, Seafood Mediterranean, crabcakes, red pepper pasta, bison meatloaf...all outstanding! Prices were on the high side but town is for tourists.

The menu sounded so promising! Grass-fed burger?! Yes, please! Would I like cheese on that? Yes, please. Burger arrived with what appeared to be over-processed, bright-orange, cheese-product melted over the top. My sons cheese pizza looked like it was straight from the freezer, obviously not a made to order item. Low-budget menu items not worth what theyre asking. We will not go back.

Excellent place, best in Glen Arbor! Went for lunch and dinner. Salads are served family style, excellent home baked bread. Tomato basil soup was hard and seasoned so well. Had a steak cooked well, a little bit dry. New potatoes were very good. A slice of acorn squash was served cold and would have been better hot. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Vegetarian friendly.

This place did a great job of writing their menu. Everything sounded so delicious, but then we received the food and everything went downhill from there. Chicken Nuggets for the kids looked very disturbing. Chili was OK, but only a few spoonfuls. Fish was bad. The salad and bread were the highlight of the meal outside of the very well written menu.

Vegetarian black bean chili is excellent. Pecan crusted and cherry trout was superb. Many other fantastic dishes. Desserts were amazing. Real food that tastes delicious because its made well by someone who knows how to cook. I always go here when passing through or staying around Glen Arbor.

AMAZING FOOD!!! Wait staff was very friendly, Nan was our waitress and she was very nice and very accommodating. Dont fret that theres no appetizers on the menu they bring you fresh bread and the freshest salad youll ever have. I will definitely be returning here! Thank you Good Harbor!

Okay food, our particular waitress wasnt bad(but we did have to ask for refills, and it wasnt busy). Other waitresses were VERY unfriendly, one literally threw our menus on the table without a hello. Cook staff and waitresses were rude and talked loudly about other dining guests.

We went to the Good Harbor Grill for breakfast, and had an amazing time. The food was great and a lot of it was local, they had great selection on their menu and allowed us to eat on the porch with our dog! If we are ever back in this area we will eat here again!

This is a wonderful place to eat . . . fresh produce, variety in menu, friendly, efficient service and the owner will come to your table to talk to you. The food is incredible including their signature salad and bread. I would highly recommend the crab cakes.
