The pizza is quite good, but doesnt come anywhere near to living up to the hype from so many reviews on here. Countless reviewers say its the best pizza in Michigan. Its not. Not even close. I reviewed it as three stars for the following reasons: 1: Price. The pizza came to $30 delivered for a large two topping pizza, not including the tip. The quality just doesnt justify the price. The crust is EXTREMELY thin. This is important for two reasons: the first reason being that they slather the pizza in so much sauce. This could have been a bigger problem, but their sauce is good. Theres just too much of it. 2: Quality control. I had my pizza delivered to my apartment, which is only a few minutes drive from the restaurant. Even so, the pizza was incredibly cold. More so than can be attributed to the drive alone; it mist have sat out for a while. Also, as is shown in the picture, the pizza was very burned. It was not just the edges; that extends to much of the crust underneath the pizza. Sadly, 1/3 of the pizza was inedible. 1/3 of a $30 pizza. I will assume that this isnt typical, and the average customer doesnt receive burnt pizza (even though Ive already read two other reviews that say the same). Mistakes happen in the kitchen, but I would expect the pizza to have to pass a basic quality control check before its dumped in a box and shipped out the door. So in summary... Three stars because of the poor quality control of a relatively high price for pizza that is above avearge, but not mind-blowing as other reviews suggested. I would have given four stars had it been a little cheaper and wasnt 1/3 inedible. It will be remembered for its price, not its quality.

Do you like Pizza loaded with fresh ingredients end to end with a delicious chewy and crispy thin crust, slightly burnt on the edges? I dont like it, I LOVE IT! OK then, get to the Tomatoes Apizza buffet M-F before noon, it gets crowded. Tomatoes can handle it. The Salad bar is stocked. There is also pasta, soft drinks and a piadina for desert... thats a nutella like deliciously filled dough-ey desert (if you can save room!) ...but lets talk more about the main course... the Apizza. I can not say enough about it. I am getting hungry thinking about it. You must try it to believe it. Do yourself a favor, come with an open mind and an appetite. And the buffet, what a steal! It only like 8 bucks!? Bring a friend. Sit with a view of the brick arched window, where the cooks are putting out a variety of super hot pies. You wont believe the variety either. Something for every pizza lover to be sure. My favorites are: pepperoni, sausage, bacon, anchovy, hot peppers, krab... they also have a variety of veggies, and sauces besides the classic red. Dont see what you like? Ask them to make it, they will. Tomatoes is open late, they deliver, and they rock! Pizza and Salad bar = Awesome! Buffet Price=unbelievably low! Service= Impeccable! Well done Tomatoes, well done. Its in my rotation for sure. The pride of Farmington Hills. They do have another location, Ive never been there, I hear its just as good.

Gourmet pies, fair price! Tomatoes is definitely my first choice for pizza next time I get a crazing the craving. Their Sampler Pizza gave us a chance to taste four of their signature thin crust pies and was more than enough for four adults. Though a little light on the sauce - admittedly my favorite part of the pie - the memorable and well-matched flavors informed us just how they garnered the laurels of "Best Pizza in Michigan" from the Food Network. The pizzeria also has a noteworthy salad bar: fresh, high quality ingredients and dressing... and gorgonzola... honestly, I cant believe how much salad I ate for four bucks. On a somewhat unrelated note, I hope that Tomatoes eventually hires an interior designer as talented as their food designer.

One of the best Italian places ever! Great service, tremendous decor/ambiance, friendly employees, nice music, solid seating, and reasonable prices. The food tastes so fresh! All the pizzas are coal-fired and homemade to perfection. There is a wide variety of toppings too: from mushrooms to sausage to spinach to ham to pepperoni to just plain cheese. They even make a dessert pizza too. The pasta and garlic bread also definitely leave you wanting some more. The salads are to die for! It is easy to see why this place is so popular and has two locations. Do not miss this place if you are in the area. I highly recommend.

The place I take someone if I want to show them outstanding pizza! Its gon to cost more then a Hot-n-ready, but you get what you pay for...and thats quality. Toppings, cheeses, sauce and crust are all fantastic. Tomatoes also has a dining area if your not getting a carryoutor if you want to stop in for their affordable (about $8.00) lunch buffet, which includes honestly one of the best salad bars Ive seen. Always fresh! The thin crust doesnt fill you up as normal hand-tossed pizzas, and allows you to taste the flavor of the toppings and sauce. Great place, wont be disappointed!

My husband and I went and dined-in once, thought it was just ok, and kind of pricey. We decided to try it again a few nights ago, so we ordered takeout. When my husband arrived to pick it up (a large pizza and spaghetti w/meatballs), he was told it wasnt ready. As it turned out, the pizza had been ready, but the meatballs werent. So by the time it got home, the pizza was cold, and somehow they forgot to give us spaghetti. We found that out the next day, since we hadnt eaten it, and it was just meatballs. They werent even busy that night. Really poor.

This place has only thin crust pizzas to my knowledge. We went there with our team for a lunch party. They have a salad bar. We went for the buffet option there (Only best option i guess). They have a variety of pizzas , all think crust ones. The pizzas were good, some of them were burnt though, and the entire place had smoke inside. There were people coughing occasionally due to the smoke. Not sure if they have a place to sit out and eat. Can go once to taste the thin crust pizzas. Average price per person less than 10 bucks.

They didnt make top pizza in the country by luck, the pizza is truly fantastic. We had the sampler, and every part of it was absolutely delicious. We also had salad from the salad bar, which is kept nicely stocked and fresh. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and well organized. The decor is a nod to what I would say is an era forgotten, and the music is very reminiscent of old Sinatra. This place is a must for any pizza lover, especially if thin crust is your thing.

We had a pepperoni pizza, cheese bread, and spaghetti and meatballs. Pepperoni pizza wasnt good. Sauce is generic and gross. The cheese bread is basically like their pizza with cheese and garlic as the topping. It wasnt bad. The spaghetti and meatballs was like someone took bad store bought spaghetti noodles and just dumped the most flavorless tomato sauce on top without any seasonings. Noodles were overcooked. Meatballs were dry. Service was good. Interior is clean. I would not recommend.
