Everything was just tremendously slow. I kept giving our server benefit of the doubt because she could be new. As time went on I was just become more and more disatisfied. She never checked on us. I ordered the endless pasta and waited to the point I asked for my second plate to be In a takeout box to go. This took about 30 minutes. Between that time the manager came and asked if we needed anything I told nothing came. My grandma had to wait literally until we left for a second plate of her endless spaghetti which was not even good. My grandfather was cheated out of %50 of his shake because our waiter told us they were out of cups for some reason. He didnt mind, but I did since me and my little sister had a shake that was way bigger then his and it was his birthday. Now the main reason Im giving them two stars is because they werent even busy there had to be 3 to 4 tables in this place max. From were we were seated we can see our waiter working on other things. The service was just all out slow since I even had to beg to pay so we could leave. Let me remind you its not busy because people are chilling on there break and the restroom smelled completely like piss with no tissue in any of the stalls. Just dropped it down to one star my take out was completely wrong they gave me only pasta without any sauce (when I asked marinara sauce. Also didnt bother to tell us children could eat for free so that was just even more a waste of money.

Ill never eat at this location again. Shouldve known better. They had no salad bar available, and I guess whatever else you order comes how they wanna give it to you and not how you ask for it. Terrible quality and low concern for customers except for when then want them out the door so they can close. They kept rushing us and asking if we need anything else while were still chewing the first bites of food. Cant get unlimited refills on that desert pear iced tea either, I was told no when I asked for one refill. Had I known that I probably wouldnt have bought a $3 drink. Do not waste your money or time at the 9 mile and Gratiot location. Go to the one at 12 and Hoover instead where they have the full menu available and actually have a staff that makes it pleasant. And keeps it clean. A few miles apart and these two restaurants might as well be on different planets. But after how poorly we were treated last night itll be a long time before I even go to the nicer one again.

The service was so slow. Waited 15 mins for our food to arrive. Food was terrible. I ordered the cajun alfredo. TERRIBLE. It was basicly plain noodles with chicken on top. There was a spoon worth of sauce on there. I also orded steam broccoli, took her forever to bring it, she was in the back laughing and talkin. My meal was also suppose to come with "garlic bread". I received a toasted sandwhich bun with so much salt on it. I could feel the years being wiped from my life span. My mom ordered the shrimp. It was like the inside was barely cooked. My sister ordered some french toast, and the topping was like somebody poured a cup of sugar in it. Asking the waitress for extra stuff like hot sauce took her 15 to do, and the resturant wasnt even busy. Barely any body there. I see why. This is the WORST Big Boys Ive ever been to. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Asked for extra spaghetti sauce and extra Tartar sauce.I made sure when i came in to remind them of the extras and he gave me a tiny little container of spaghetti sauce and forgot the Tartar sauce, also forgot garlic bread and lemon for the fish.I told him they forgot the garlic bread and they wound up giving me just a toasted bun.they also gave me the smallest dollop of mashed potatoes.I keep giving this place chances but I think Im done. Big boys is not as good as it was when I was younger. They need a good manager there.

So far Ive had two disappointing Take-out experiences. 2-26 and on 3-5-17 I was on HOLD for 12 minutes before someone answered & then put me in Hold again when I asked for Mgr. Food has been good & staff polite & accommodating when Im there to pick it up. UPDATE: after explaining what happened I want to thank Jullie Boone; Mgr. she took $5.00 off the bill, which helped a little. Im hoping she will instruct her employees to do a better job in the future

I ordered a southern omellete for a carry out order and as im typing this its been almost a half hour and im still waiting. The servers are slow as hell and they do not apologize or try and make up for their slack. As servers they should be ashamed and as a manager they shoild be ashamed for not being able to control their store. This is ridiculous and i will never ever come back to this big boy ever again.

This facility cares nothing about appearance our cleanliness. My waitress looked as if shed just woke up shook out her clothes then put them on. From head to toe she was dirty. Apron, shirt and pants. So much so I requested someone else to bring out the food. Along the panels where you sit to eat was dirty as well. This will be my last visit to this location. Cleanliness and hygiene is KEY.

the salad bar had the worst food I ever ate Ill never go to big boys again on Gratiot and 9 mile the service was terrible manager needs to learn to control his staff Ive been going to the Big Boi since I was 16 years old never in my life I had a problem the waitress we had was terrible very smart mouth never in my life will I ever go there again couldnt even get an apology from her.

The goal behind a chain is to have the same quality of food, service, and flavor. Unfortunately this location fails at all 3. Poor service, disgustingly dirty (sticky tables and seats, slippery floors, dirty menus), slow to deliver orders and theyre often wrong and/or cold. Do not use the restrooms of you want to keep your appetite. Skip this one and go to a different location.

1st off came in 2 hours b4 close and was told that the grill was off and it would be a while to turn them on.... I left... I did go back a few days later... There was no-one in the restaurant so i expected prompt and friendly service... WRONG!! Our waitress was nowhere 2 b found and our food was cold sausage undercooked... Will never make the mistake of coming back here

We had a party of 4, the food was all from the breakfast buffet. Most of the food was precooked way in advance. The service was slow and sloppy. There was a total of 5 tables with people when we arrived. There were fruit flies in the bathroom, NO towels in the bathroom and no toilet paper. It was extremely hot it the restaurant . All around disappointed

I love this big boy so much, its right around the corner from my house and I go here all the time, sometimes the cooks make mistakes, but then again , who doesnt ? The service is always good, but theres one waitress whos the best, I think her name is Tracy . Food is always delicious, AND if you want a bomb strawberry milkshake this is the spot .
