I go to Campus Coney on a regular basis, and the service and food is usually great. There is one waitress though who I dont think understands the meaning of customer service, Im a waitress myself, so I understand that things happen, but this girl is blatantly rude. The first time she waited on me, she asked us if we were ready to order, and my partner needed a minute. Literally, a minute. She then proceeded to take the orders of two tables who came in after us, and walked by us and ignored us consistently. About ten minutes later she came back and asked if we were ready. I was slightly agitated, but it was okay. I ordered a Campus pita with no sauce, "whatever sauce comes on it, I dont want it" was exactly what I said. She then apologized for the wait and said she thought someone else waited on us. A mistake, as a waitress I understand. Then I got my pita and sure enough...there was mayo on it. She had it remade, and everything was fine. We waited a while for the check and the service was mediocre overall...but we still tipped over 20%. We hadnt had an encounter with this waitress until recently, when our waitress left and she argued loudly with another waitress about how it wasnt her job to take care of us and how bad we were. We waited forever to get our check, and still tipped 20% (hopefully going to our original waitress.) Overall, the service is great and the food is good. We always tip well and are kind to our servers. I dont know what this girls problem is, but if she treats other customers like this they are going to lose business. The first time can be excusable, but talking bad about us loudly where we can hear it? Immature. Again, the service is usually great, but this one girl has ruined it for me.

Nice staff but seriously awful food. Everything from the cream to butter to syrup is fake processed substitutes left out warm on the counter. I figured french toast and sausage patties were a safe bet but was very wrong. The French toast was still wet with raw egg and the sausage was clearly just from a frozen pack, as they were super hard and really just gross. I left my money on the table and left because I wouldnt know how to say everything is just plain bad. I really didnt want any substitute, just wanted to not ever eat at that place again. Clean and convenient to WSU students but seriously so so bad.

Excellent diner/coney, right near Wayne State. Ive been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Ive gotten to know many of the waitresses and the owner, and they are all great folks. Highly recommended!
